@@LISSoundtrack Still not perfect i don't think. i recently got xbox ultimate gamepass for free and found the cloud gaming had fable 2 on there. all you need game pass ultimate, an xbox controller and a decent internet speed and you can play fable 2 there. Still not perfect, not even near. Constant crashes, african-american MC glitch and missing textures, oh and savefile corruption. I'd just stop being broke and buy the console!

@@--Traveler-- Yes, but you can still find Fable 3 keys on the internet. I snagged one while there are still keys around. Allthough I don't care for Fable 1 and 3 as much as I care about 2.
It is easy to see here, that fable 2 is too broken outside of the xbox hardware environment. Remember that the entire internet is more powerful than the handful of people that would be responsible for a PC port. If the entire internet can't port the game without these big issues, then a small team won't stand a chance. A team at Microsoft would just do the same exact thing the community is doing...by trying to emulate the hardware so that the software would be playable. Nothing short of rebuilding the entire game in a new engine, would fix this game so it is playable on PC.
Thank you for this video, very informative and straight to the point! Hopefully we will get to play fable 2 on PC soon, I played the first one very recently and loved it so much.
I've been checking on this games progress for a while now and it has come a long way I honestly never thought it would get past the missing floor stage, I have both fable 1 and 3 on pc and fable 2 on my old xbox 360 I have recently replayed 1 and 3 but I have been unable to play 2 on my xbox because of a red ring. I am able to fix this case of red ring since I found that applying more pressure to the cpu or gpu (can't tell which is which) fixes it at least for a time, though I need to find something that can apply the amount of pressure I need without breaking anything which is taking while. Once fable 2 is finished on xenia I am gonna play the absolute hell out of it and I cannot wait, even if I fix my xbox before that happens.
I wish Fable 2 got the FPS Boost to 60 FPS like Fable 3 did. I'd even accept the game running at 1080p 60fps instead of 4K 30fps because the motion blur hurts my eyes! Still a great game, however.
Fable 2 is in my top 5 games of all time for sure. I would honestly pay microsoft for an hd remake of it, but they won't so ill just take it for free I guess....
I'm convinced the pc port has failed to happen not because of licencing issues or lack of market interest, but instead because it is just too broken outside of xbox's hardware.
@@TattleDelta It detects PS4 controllers too. I already had a controller setup though from my ps2 emulator, and Xenia automatically recognized my controller, which is pretty cool.

Not really. You need at the very least a perfect, stable 1G download AND upload internet fiber connection to the endpoint and even then there is input lag
That frame rate didn't look very stable at all either, was really hoping to be able to play this on pc but it looks no where near in a playable state atm.
I'm currently playing it with the 60 fps patch at at pretty stable 60. Either in the past 10 months it's improved a ton or his PC wasn't up to scratch. I say give it a go.
ask yourself how much time you spend on your computer. If it is hours every day, then you should be spending a couple thousand on a pc that will last you a few years(so 600-700 a year) If you are spending 1000+ hours a year on your PC, then that is less than $0.75 an hour of entertainment in your life, which is a really good value compared to literally anything else you would spend money on.
I've always wanted to beat the Fable series after briefly playing the 3rd long time ago on 360. And I'm talking 360 days, anyways just recently played the first one off game pass and I gotta say. It sucked lmao. Super cheesy and not a kind of cheesy to make me feel like it's good or to draw me in more of a cheesy to push me away as I felt it was childish and half assed from story and gameplay. So I ended up uninstalling it and still I want to experience the series so now I'm here watching this seeing if the 2nd is worth my time and so far I feel like it's been this video that's been a waste of time lol. Not much detail on whether this game is worth it or not. All he talks about is bug problem and PC issues and blah blah. Change the title of your video guy. I didn't come here to see if it wasn't playable or not due to performance and blah blah. I wanna know gameplay, story etc etc. Not everything you talked about so idk why your title of the video says what it says.
While I'm blinded by nostalgia, I've got to say you're not giving Fable 1 enough credit. While you're not wrong in any way, you don't mention that the first Fable was a genre defining release. None of these features had ever been seen before. You could be attractive, ugly, good, evil, even scary or laughable. Depending on what your build was, your character would change. From mages having the will light up their body, to warriors being giant hunks of muscle. Your body would even bear scars from actual damage you've taken that never goes away, marking your adventures. There is still no better example than Fable when it comes to dynamic character building and meaningful response from the worlds NPC's. Sure, gameplay wise It's extremely easy to cheese, it can be buggy and repetitious, and after one or two playthroughs you've done it all. But that still doesn't stop me from replaying the game every couple of years. There's still no better antagonist than Jack of blades, besides maybe Handsome Jack. The remake has its own issues, mainly being terribly rebinded controls and glitches. So I suggest you play through the original Fable : The Lost Chapters all the way through. It would make the 2nd game more interesting story wise, and even make the 3rd game worth replaying. Maybe I'm just a fool, or maybe I'm blinded by childhood nostalgia. But Fable made me feel like I could be whoever I wanted to be in life.
@@degen2789 I mean I get what your saying but those character changes aren't very drastic not enough to change my view of it. It's age and when it came out has no impact on how I feel about it. I didn't feel any meaningful responses from any NPC other than what they were cheesily scripted to say which I wasn't a fan of. So it would not come across meaningful to me. I see all your points and I'ma have to be honest with you and I'm not saying it's a bad thing and honestly I don't wanna use your wording but I'ma use it. I honestly think you are blinded by your childhood past with the game lol. As I've played 1000x better games then what fable could ever achieve if every aspect from character development and actual legit choices that have real consequences good or bad and they would be so in depth there would be 8 different outcomes. Games like the witcher, mass effect, dragon age, pillars of eternity which does it the best out of any games I ever played like this. So I see your points and I don't judge old games vs new and even if I would have played fable before playing all those others I'd most likely still feel the same. But fable wasn't good enough in every department in my opinion for me to take the time and beat it. I've looked into the 2nd one and I'm not even gonna try it. I will try the 3rd as that's the one I always wanted to beat but I like to beat games in order but I just wasn't having it with the first one and with the character changes and choices being so uhh idk what word to use but idk I've just played games that did it better and idk. I could care less about the choices you can make as it's all the same. You're just either bad or good and treated a certain way and the choices aren't really choices. Like yes you get to choose but everyone has that same outcome. Idk how to explain it but games like Skyrim, the walking dead and some others where they give you the impression of your choices actually matter but they don't. The walking dead for example gives you 4 different choices with 2 having the same outcome while the other 2 had shared a different but same outcome meaning it's not very drastic and you choice doesn't really matter as if you pick either one of the two you get the same out come. Pillars of eternity for example will give you 8 choices with 8 completely different outcomes and that's what I like. That brings in replay value. Not doing the same thing good but then next evil as that's all that's different while doing the same. Mass effect and the Witcher on have the level of degree on choices actually mattering and having huge impact but fables is a joke, it's childish, I've played older titles less cheesy and childish then it and idk. I'm 26 now and I'm not trying to spend my time playing games like fable. I thought it would be a different experience but nah. Not what I thought it would be.
