So sorry for the cutting mat that has black marks on it - it is the sharpie that bleeds through the tissue paper on the mat, and I was so in the zone.... and did not notice it. Usually I clean it after with soap and water :) I hope that it does not take away from the video for You :)
This it's what I've been wanting to get. I didn't know they were called shrugs. This one has sleeve length options. Yay!! Thank you. BTW I ❤ your accent.
I wonder if I could use my faux fur and make this for the fall🤔 I will make a sample, make a shrug with knit and if all goes well, I can use this pattern for my faux fur
Cute idea, the only thing to watch for with faux fur - the thickness of it, it might end up being a bit too bulky, but once you make your shrug from knit you will be able to determine that, cause faux fur can be different too :)
This is a very clear tutorial. Thank you! What tips would you give about instead of the shawl collar doing a narrow hem or binding around that opening (around back of neck, side front, back bottom, and other side front)?
I'm really thinking what I can make for my daughter to wear with her prom dress I have some cream like crushed velvet type material and her dress will be purple
Thank you, I am a beginner and a visual learner, my brain obviously works differently 🤔😊 as I’m still struggling to understand/ feel confident with how you make your lovely patterns. This is just a thought, but would you consider filming your complete pattern measurements in one part, then the cutting out in another showing the pieces laid out, ( so I can see amount and individual pieces) and then with video magic bring the cut fabric pieces together like a jigsaw, in the order you sew them? ( before you sew) I understand if this is too much work and not right for you, but I thought it was worth asking. Kind Regards
Ava, I understand that you struggle but what you really need to do is to get some paper and get started. No amount of visual presentation is going to give you what you will understand when you actually get hands on with pattern drafting.
Hi Alisa, your videos are so easy. I would like to see you do a longer shrug...one that goes below the bum....also if you can do a maxi dress with long sleeves...I am a Muslim...so I am looking for those kind of long clothes. THANK YOU!!!
Khadeeja, this video has already been done on my channel months ago - ruclips.net/video/NxoclI64rLE/видео.html also for what you have asked I just did a video on how to turn any top into a dress, and I have lots of tops on my channel with long sleeves. Just click on my channel page and go to "video" tab and look through. Happy watching and sewing!
Hi I was checking to see if your able to pin through your dress form ? If so where did find it. Your videos are very informative and good for beginner garment sewist. Thank you
You can pin though it, but not by much and... It is just a decor dress form, not a real one. I suggest looking at Royal dress forms and just Google quality dress forms - there are quite a few out there.
I have made measurements but mine looks more like a vertical rectangle versus horizontal rectangle. 2:022:02 . I’d like to show picture but find a way to doso
You have been commenting the same thing over and over again, seems to me you just don't take the time to understand. So please, either take time to understand or you can stop watching my videos. Thank you!

Sweety I did not even notice. Loved the tutorial, thank you for sharing!!
You just amaze me how easy you sketch out patterns 😱😁
Lisa, thank you so much.. it is so easy, so elegant, so classic, so feminine, so beautiful as all you do.
It definitely has a Bridgerton vibe. Very feminine. Luv it. 👌🏼🥰
Oh my goodness
Your soothing voice ❤️

Love this! Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Alisa!! Wonderful idea for something small to keep warm with.. Plus you can adapt it to the size & length you want….
💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Great idea!!
Can this be made without the sleeve? I made the first one and it fits my neighbor better than me because I used your measurements. I love it.
You can for sure experiment and see how you like it without sleeves :) have fun!

The top that your mannequin is wearing (mauve pinkish color) is so cute, I need it in my life! Please tell me you have a tutorial coming up for it!!

Hey Alisa, do you have one drafting/patternmaking book or method that you use regularly to draft your own patterns? Another fab video! ;-)

Thank you! Great idea as always. Is there a tutorial for the top in the background?
Marvina, hi! I am still developing it :) sometime soon.
Can I his be made with a beautiful stretch lace as coverup for formal gown? Love it.
Sure, do a test garment in something similar to see how it fits over your dress.

Tengo 55 de alto y 35 de honbro a honbro que medida tiene de ancho el que usted hizo
Mira aquí - 10:29
Unfortunately it turned out way too small 😪.
Why 2 part collar? So collar is 4 parts total? Seems complicated because not very clearly explained
