Wonder where that car is now, and what that house looks like.

Car was stripped for parts to fix up a two-door in '72 and the husk sent to the junkyard, house probably depends on whether it's in Detroit proper, a suburb, or near the ad agency's shop in SoCal.

Yeah they’re all dead and the house and car too

@@nlpnt husk sat in the junkyard for decades, someone bought it for $2000, converted it to a 2 door, and sold that shell off for $8k, rust included.

@@UmmYeahOk Either that or the husk was shredded for scrap way back when, sent off to Japan and came back as a Datsun 510 which likewise gained $5000 in value in the past few years, rust included.

They were a product of their time, David, and weren't perceived as corny back then. You're putting comments on a commercial from 62 years ago. I'd like to see what someone like you says about today's loud, obnoxious car commercials 62 years from now in 2071. You don't need to wait that long. They suck!!! By the way, car commercials had ties to the '50s well into the '70s.

REAL aluminum? Wow! that is fantastic! How could they afford to use REAL aluminum and not the cheap Chinese imitation stuff made out of recycled buffalo droppings? Bet they lost money on these cars :)

Take that cleaned up car out on the road; 30 minutes later it's filthy again.
