Really doesn’t matter who’s in goal if they can’t score more than one goal.

1 goal per game is enough from here on out.

Not true. Scoring is way down in the playoffs. It isn't just the Canucks

The key to the win is trying to match Nashville's emotion for more than one period but it's not easy. You gotta hand it to Nashville: they hate to lose. They started playing desperate hockey as early as the second game. They're not pretenders. They should command respect from the Canucks or there could be quite a hairy game 7.

My exact thoughts. I think they are a tough team.

It felt like they were trying to play Demko to death in February, the same way they injured him in previous seasons, without getting a lot of wins. Then when they put in DeSmith they played their older backup to death, which is bad if you're wanting him to be ready for the playoffs. Silovs was just the goalie that escaped being played to death, but is capable of stepping up to play big games if needed. The Canucks have a serious problem with load management of their goalies, going back several head coaches.

It's hard to find blemishes on Tocchet's season but ya with Demko deployment he prioritized regular season wins over preparing for the playoffs. Similarly Hughes's chase for the Norris probably had him prioritizing regular season stats over preparing for the playoffs too. Compare to Makar who timed his A-game to arrive for the real hockey season. The cap situation doesn't leave much wiggle room for these predictable growing pains.

Fun Fact : Canucks fans were upset with Elias Lindholm and accusing Alvin of a terrible trade.....
but Lindholm has more points than Petey in the playoffs, including a crucial OT winner. Two Elias's....but, only one has shown up.

Drancers argument as to why Tocchet should win the Jack Adams is why we might lose the series. Nashville know exactly how we will play (except for when Hughes is freewheeling)
