- Organizing my craft room brings me as much joy as crafting itself. I have been storing my beloved Catherine Pooler Mini ink pads in slim Iris scrapbooking boxes, they are GREAT for the mini's and I still recommend them. However; I've been stamping more in my planner lately and needed a more accessible option, like having them on display and within reach. I searched high and low and to my surprise couldn't find a storage solution that I liked.
As creatives, we take things like this into our own hands. So, I came up with an affordable hack and think you'll enjoy it too. I've listed all of the supplies below along with dimensions I used to create this beautiful display.
As usual, if you find this video useful please give it a thumbs up, I appreciate it as it helps my channel grow.
Supplies:
I paid $53.58 to complete two of these displays, using a 20% coupon for the basswood and the stadium storage was 50% off at Joanns during their organization sale.
4 Level Craft Organizer by Totally Tiffany (I purchased 2): www.joann.com/...
Basswood 1/8 x 2 x 24", I purchased 8: For some reason it's not coming up on the Joann site where I purchased it, so here are some other options for the same thing:

Glue Gun
Double sided tape
Craft Foam Sheets - 5mm: a.co/d/akqgOqx
Dimensions:
Trimmed basswood length from 24 inches down to 14.25", then cut .875 strips to hold up the shelf piece.
Foam sheet spacers were trimmed down to .875 strips. I had to piece together to accommodate 14.25 length needed. For the very bottom shelf, a different depth was needed of 075".
Those minis might be the cutest things I've ever seen.
How clever you are!!! I would never have thought of turning that storage station on its side !!! Great idea!
I bought the six tiered ones at Michael’s. Thanks for the hack!!
Brilliant! I don't even have Catherine Pooler ink pads, but I need to make some extra shelves inside a bookcase and I think your method will work really well for me. Thanks for showing me how easy it will be! Appreciate it! 😊
That's a great idea!
Very clever. Thanks for sharing.
Very clever!
Love this! Right now I’m using clear acrylic drawers for my CP minis, which I liked when I had fewer mini ink pads because the drawers are easily removable to move to my crafting desk. But, the drawbacks are that I’m quickly outgrowing them and the ink pads are on top of each other so I have to hunt and dig for the one I want. This is functional and a beautiful display! Thanks for sharing❤
Yes, my collection started small too and it wasn't an issue, until it grew :)
That is brilliant!!! Kudos to your husband for lending his support to your need too! ♥️👏🏻♥️
Thank you! This worked great for me!
They is awesome❤
I loved this idea. I made this following your instructions & measurements and I love it. awesome! Thank you so much!!! 👏
Great idea-functional, pretty and easy!!!
Wow! That is very clever and much needed. My CP ink cubes are in a drawer in their packaging which isn't ideal but I had searched and searched and couldn't find anything to hold them. Thanks so much for sharing. This is ideal until someone comes up with something premade to fit the cubes.
This is genius! I’ve been looking for a way to display my minis! Thank you so, so, SSOOOOOO MUCH! 👍🏾
Glad I could help!
Thank you. You explained everything very clearly
Great job!
Thank you Susan!
Brilliant idea - thanks for sharing!
These are on sale at Joanne's for $19.79 and you can get .99 shipping (which they charge you a fee of 1.99 🤔 but still less than reg shipping)
Thank you Lisa! I am so happy with this solution. 🥰 Mine came out great!
Brilliant! I don't have that many of the minis, but this is a wonderful storage idea.
I currently store mine in the slim iris cases as well. I love this hack and will definitely try it. Thanks for sharing.
That is beautiful! And simple enough I might even be able to do it! 😀 Thank you for sharing.
You can do it!
Great tutorial!
Thank you!
These look great Lisa! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, how deep is your shelf. I want to store Stampin Up stamp sets. Awesome idea
This is brilliant!
Good job love it
Genius!
You are an absolute genius, I’ve been looking for something for a while now and if I can find this Totally Tiffany unit or similar in the UK I’m going to be all over it. Thank you sooooo much for sharing.
Glad I could help!
Hello!! Great idea!! I finally have the supplies to make this… but what is the measurement of the small lifting piece that holds the 2”x14.25” wood piece up?
Brilliant!
Thank you!
What a great idea!!!
Thank you! 😊
This looks great but unfortunately I don’t have a place to display it. What were the other storage options that you mentioned?
Great idea!
Thanks!
What a fantastic idea! I love how your inks are displayed and how easy I’d e able to access them. Your a genius! Now to go hunting for the supplies I’d need to make my own !
😂
You can do it!
With the shelving flipped over like it is, would Tim Horton Oxide and Distress Oxide stamp pads?
@@judyanderson7489 There are some wonderful storage options available for Tim Holtz Distress Oxides that I wouldn't go though the trouble of hacking these Totally Tiffany stadium storage bins for them. I have my Oxides in storage from Amazon and they fit perfectly, no hacks needed. a.co/d/2s3eKN4
This is a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing. In hindsight, I kind of wish I purchased all CP mini inks instead of the regular size. Is it possible this could work for the regular size pads, or would the stick out too far?
This is awesome! I just received my first shipment of Catherine Pooler inks so I’m making one of these. I have to ask my son-in-law to cut the wood since we don’t have the tools. Any chance you can provide the measurement for the smaller piece of wood that holds up the extra “shelves”? Thanks for sharing!
YAY! Wondering if this idea would work for my Oxide Inks....I'm going to have to try this. I have the TTiffany Stadium and love it! TFS! The only thing I like more than paper crafts is organizing,LOL!
I use this for my Oxides: a.co/d/9wwLSLs
@@LisaLoveStudio THANK YOU! This is a great solution!🥰
@@lynnmangrum7823 Yay! Happy Organizing Lynn!
Me too! I am always organizing something and I help other people organize their craft rooms ❤
This is a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing. In hindsight, I kind of wish that I had purchased the CP mini inks instead of the regular sized ones. Would this system work for the regular inks or would they be too big? Thanks.
Hi Oralee ;) The larger pads won't fit, they are much larger than the mini's. However; I believe Stamp n Storage, or similar came up with a system for the regular sized pads already. What was lacking was something for the minis, which is why I had to create one.
BRILLIANT! I just ordered mine and I have the perfect place for it. Mine are still in the containers in my Alex Draws and it is perfect but if I could use that drawer for something else I would be very happy. And I love the fact that I would be able to see all the colors at the same time. Can’t wait to make mine and I thank you so much for sharing this with us❤
P.S. I just subscribed 😉
YAAAY PAMELA!!!
A few notes I want to add, in hindsight. The two pieces that you cut from the basswood to hold up the shelf, I would cut a third and place it on the back of the tiered tray, so that your shelf is being held up on the right, on the center, and on the left, does that make sense? Also, as someone commented below, putting the foam stopper in before you install, the top shelf is probably smarter
@@LisaLoveStudio oh good idea! Thank you
@@LisaLoveStudio So my totally Tiffany storage came today and I am sitting here making my shelves. Hobby Lobby did not have the basswood so I had to opt for foam board for now and it is 1/8 inch thick and my inks are not fitting in. I am unable to make two rows. What am I doing wrong?
Ok, just checked all shelves and one shelf it does not work on but the other shelves it does 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻. Guess I have to get creative
@@pamelafernandes480 My guess would be, that the shelves are too thick. If you join my facebook group, I can help better after seeing pictures/videos.
May I ask what you used to take the hanging brackets off the back or how you took them off?
Hi Lisa. This is such a great idea! TFS I did order the TT stadium storage & received it yesterday. I couldn’t quit tell on your video but do you store them in set order? It doesn’t look like rainbow color order. Thank you ❤️
Hi Gail, I used the CP color wheel and placed them in that order ;) I also added labels, I can send you a pic if you email me at lisa @ lisalovestudio.com
How thick is your craft foam sheets?
