My second BEST TACO in Southern California is the Tijuana style taco.
Here at Tacos Los Poblanos they don't skimp out on the guacamole. It's seasoned simply but so good.

I love the sweetness and seriousness of the first couple. That passion always translates into the food.
Try almost any taco truck or stand in East Los…. You can’t go wrong… you’ll find tacos Estilo What Ever from all over Mexico but most importantly Estilo East Los Tacos !!! It’s been this way since the 70s when King Taco started the whole movement with the 1st Taco Truck ever… and East Los has been bringing Taco Lovers from All over Southern Cali ever since. East Los is The official Taco City !!!

Dad, Mom, and I would go to a Mexican restaurant in the '70s in Santa Ana, California. First time, I just chose anything and I chose Beef Tamales. It was love @ 1st bite. I moved back 2 Hawaii in 1980 or 1981. Man, I forgot the name of the restaurant and its location.

Tony's Mexican restaurant in Sherman Oaks is a little whole in the wall in a tiny strip mall, but it's a gem and tacos and just about everything else on the menu is delicious and scratch made. 💯 Recommend it. The little Chinese restaurant next to it is damn good too

Tbh tj style tacos are so 🔥los Poblanos ain’t it for us We used to go to tire shop taqueria before it blew up and it would get too packed so we found los poblanos and it just was missing some flavor and they would get so cold. We asked tire shop taqueria if they opened poblanos and they mentioned they were family that did their own. We started going to the other Los poblanos on Florence and McKinley (car wash) but now we go to tacos el Chino which definitely are way better!! The style is definitely it!

I went to to Tacos Los Problanos on Saturday (April 22nd 2023). Lots of signage but none of them had any pricing information posted. They set-up and started serving at 4:55P.M. I ordered and ate three of the carne asada tacos. Each was generously loaded with mucho guacomole and tasted great. The problem was that each of these tacos were very small on very small tortillas and I was charged $2.50 each for the tacos. That seemed pretty high in price for street tacos, even today, in Los Angeles. I was left with the uneasy feeling that I got gringo pricing..

San Diego is a Burrito city and nope didn’t make the list cause nobody in the USA beats LA in Tacos if anything Chicago comes in second but not San Diego and I eaten in at least 50 taco shops all over SD but nobody can beat u in Burritos 🙌🙌

When I want tacos I want the flavor of the meat the lettuce tomatoes and cheese. If all I wanted was guacamole that's what I eat. I would rather have slices of avocado on the taco.

Was that cook for 365 men at hard labor camp in Northern California where I grew up. His sister was a woman here is just having her she made flour tortillas for every meal. I'd go with him to the branches to deliver lunches. Usually five burritos sweet bread milk or soda. Good Times.
