- After winning the Wacken Metal Battle: South Africa, we embarked on a life changing trip to represent our country at the mecca of the metal world, Wacken Open Air festival. We are beyond grateful to everyone that had a hand in helping us along the way, everyone we met, and everyone that embraced our music. Thank you.

Consisting of Reegan Du Buisson on vocals, Chase Beynon and James Irving on Guitars, Ray Abraham on Bass and Victor Monginho on Drums. Currently in their 13th year, Facing the Gallows have earned the mantle as one of South Africas hardest working and best live acts. They've consistently pushed the boundaries of local music and have opened many doors for a heavy scene that's making it's ever growing footprint in SA music. Their shows have become notorious within the community for it's high energy, intensity and impact, becoming a bench mark within the country.

That's so cool that you were there dude! What a craaazy experience and thank you for saying so, it really means a lot to hear that as band coming from SA. How's Canada during the lockdown and where are you based? We got on super well with The Slyde when we were there. Awesome band, so stoked we got to watch and hang out with them. Still have their one song "Divide" stuck in my head!
@@facingthegallows We're from Montreal ! Lockdown sucks, can't wait to see live act. Family is ok so we hope it will be come a little bit like a normal situation. If you ever come in Montreal, I'll be there for sure and we could party !

I remember seeing you guys live, 2007 or 2008 in PTA doing tour, i think there was like 20 people in the Bar (some random place, some of my friends use to call it the gutter of PTA) when you guys were doing your gig (think like 5 bands was playing that night), but man did we rock hard on your music (one of the best nights out), me and my friends lost our shit on your music (head banging like mofos), afterwards we talked to guys and had few beers, partied on, played some pool and moved to next location. Living Netherlands atm, listening to you guys talk about the freedom and just walking places, I agree it is the best!
That was wonderful to watch, i enjoyed every minute of it. I'm sorry for your bad luck in aachen and wish you all the best for the future =)
I am very late to the party here but this was just a delight to watch. Seeing you get this opportunity whilst also experiencing wacken / the german meral scene and our silly little drinking games was amazing
