@@tant_necromant2757I always found it more fun when you left out the Bee Queen crown and nightmare amulet. You don't need those things if you can dodge possession and bone cage with the lazy explorer after all. Playing with high sanity always made the fight feel more like a scramble to stay organized than a clean boss fight. Also screw weather pains, terrible strategy that just complicates the boss more than leading the Fuelweaver around the arena. I really, really want to learn the way to defeat him without sanity or a lazy explorer. I never could figure out the timing for bone cage dodge when I played more frequently.
@@christophersvanevik97I figured it out for Wolfgang and Wigfrid. I don't think it's bad at all actually. I think people have propagated really bad and flawed strategies online that just make people believe it's a bad fight. For example, people believe you should use Weather Pains a lot when it's actually a strategy that highly increases failure in a solo setting. A lot of popular guides don't even warn players about the trouble of leaving the boss in the center -- it's so simple, but the people who make the guides don't even acknowledge the issue.
I've seen some people say this theme is kinda underwhelming, but i'd say it fits like a glove. This isn't some triumphant march to victory, it's imposing -- And that's what Fuelweaver is. Look at the guy, they tower over Wilson, and you can't say that design isn't at least somewhat threatening. Another thing, it's not like Fuelweaver is some great evil to triumph over, YOU went out of your way to summon him and the only reason he attacks you is so you don't suffer the same fate they did. In a game like Don't Starve Together, where death is super impactful, this theme for (one of) the final challenge(s) is very fitting, it just screams "do NOT fuck this up" anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk
@@shka6262It can trap you in the atrium if you run completely out of armor and die during the fight. Even if you can resurrect with a life amulet, you still have to kill a tentapillar to escape. If you die without any failsafe options, you will be trapped for eternity due to the tentapillar.
This theme doesn't feel menacing enough for a great and powerful shadow creature, but it perfectly captures the distress of fuelweaver gameplay: nervewrecking, tedious, and annoying, + constant state of panic. Before fighting fuelweaver, i always imagined him as an apotheosis of creepy eerines of shadows, so when i got to him for the first time i was like "What the hell is this? Is that the funny music from OrangE videos??"
@@ARatherDapperFoxoBoi Just that? in my opinion the only annoying thing about Fuelweaver is the cordination you need to change weapon to lazy explorer or armor to amulet, the game provides with items to take care of his healing, for me the only one i hate is celestial champion in his phase 3, even to the present day i´m unable of evade his lasser attack, missery toadstool too, the constant pression you gotta put in that boss and the stupid amount of resources is a real pain, anyways i only defeated the last one for the blue prints of snap sack xd
@@Korthozh I would argue fuelweaver also requires a stupid amount of resources as well. It can just undo most of your progress in seconds as well. Having to juggle using the insanity amulet, the lazy explorer and then trying to not get annihilated by fuelweaver himself is just a nightmare. Not to mention the utter clusterfuck getting to the atrium is. I will agree champion is also a pain in the ass. It's confusing attack pattern combined with it's ludicrous damage is just awful. Not to mention it's second phase basically guaranteeing death if you happen to make a single mistake when it goes beyblade mode. Toadstool is incredibly simple but just a miserable endless slog of a bossfight. Not to mention his loot is borderline useless.
Fuelweaver is definitely a fight you need to keep a lot of cool with. It's super possible to defeat him with highly limited resources, or you can sometimes muck it up even when you have a ton of stuff. Some tools/tips for the fight would be: -Get the Fuelweaver outside of the inner circle before you begin phase 2 -Lead him around the outside to deal with less woven shadows -If it looks like he's about to eat a bunch of woven shadows, intentionally allow him to possess you so he will ignore wovens -Break the last unseen hand after the last woven shadow is dead. This gives you the most time to hit Fuelweaver uninterrupted. The rest of the fight is just getting a feel for it.
least resource taking raid boss in dst:
As Wolfgang it's just 1 bee queen crown, 2 marble suits, 1 dark sword, 1/5 of a lazy explorer, 1/2 of a weatherpain and a nightmare amulet

@@AeyakS honestly you HAVE to use lazy unless you're fine with fuelweaver getting a free attack/heal. The boss itself is kinda bad sadly

the way wilson is fighting with a log armor and a log suit is cherry on top

i almost never have time to hear any of the raid bosses music xuz im way to occupied screaming and panicking
Easiest boss dont starve with wanda , if not wanda gg u lose
It is kinda underwhelming for one of the two final bosses in the game but at least it doesn't mess up my attack pattern when fighting
Yeah. If you’re on pc, get the synthwave boss rush music mod. It makes a really amped up motivational song for the boss fights and also normal fights.

It is considered underwhelming cos it’s an old boss compared to CC 😕
