Raced one of these the other day. Thing had an exhaust that made it sound like a Ferrari. I beat it pretty handily but was actually surprised how fast it is so came to look at its acceleration. I have a 3.0i z4 and am used to smoking people easily. Good show vts saxo, I like it.
Came across a few of these as well. Just a bit of friendly banter, all the young guys behind them knew fine well they were gonna be left well behind but it was all in good fun. (I'm running a modded 360hp E46 M3). Those little saxos are great fun, and when modded tastefully with the right kit can look/sound pretty smart.

Is there something difficult in understanding what STOCK means ? This is a stock Saxo VTS with intake/exhaust modified and a specific gear ratio. OK...
Not convinced about the accuracy here. 120bhp and a 970kg car (dry) will not reach 160kph in under 20 seconds. The speed will almost certainly be several percent over the true speed.
Saxo's weights between 920 and 980 full tank and fluids but without driver... Depends on phase and equipment. Most of them weigths just under 1000kg that is very good cause is real weight. And yes, saxo stock 0-160 in 22-24 sec and never in under 20 when accelerates in flat road
Stock? Yeah sure..official figures for a *stock* VTS is 0-100kph in 8.7 secs. Whatever the thing in this video was running it was near half that! Rev limit is only meant to be 6600rpm too.
Yes, official number is 8.7 secs, but evo magazine recorded 7.6 in entirely stock (!) Saxo VTS back in the days, so the Saxo could be stock in the video. And 0-100 mph in little over 22 secs.
@@CossieGT3 0-60 mph is 96km/h and is the key here, I think. Speedo and gps is the other factor to consider... 0-160 is over 22s stock but in this video goes at 180 in the dame time, so stock it's difficult
