This is the best flip reset tutorial I've seen. I could flip reset before, but not properly, so I struggled with double resets. After the video I'm hitting consistent double resets tysm!
Nice vid man I know how to do flip resets but this helped me with some key parts you are amazing and are insanely underrated you should have so many more subs for your great content-subbed 💙
I would explain a bit about the timing of when to tilt car back for the correct angle to ensure you get the “pop” off the ball or else you’ll deaden your reset shot power and makes it hard to transition into control or shot.
just stuck on getting my ball under the car. Ive got the setup, the break and split second timing perfectly but im just having trouble getting my car that reset
What direction on air roll work too? Or i just use normal air roll. Im doing just fine and still practicing on it after playing rocket league for a couple of months and a little close to a year
What should I do after getting the reset? Keep with air roll? Hit the jump button to activate the reset? I don't know what to do to finish the reset, I can get a reset, but what should I do to turn into a play or goal
I recommend to point your car at the ball after your reset and start boosting towards it while you air roll. That reset will turn into you air dribbling while you have an extra flip to use whenever you want
1. Pointing the nose of my car at the ball was the one thing I was missing lol. 2. I have to disagree with the left headlight tip. You’re gonna confuse people who are still learning wall setups… as long as that angle is right they should be hitting the ball with the center nose of their car on the wall. That might be what you meant but it comes off a little confusing and I know people will be hitting the ball on the wall with that headlight wondering why the setup isn’t working for them
Very true. I mentioned the headlight part so they'd at least get an idea of where you should take the ball up the wall instead of just going straight up with no angle.
Good, clear explanation. Just be confident and speak up! Your voice is a bit whispery and shaky and too quiet compared to the in game sound, not sure if you're trying not to wake up the whole house or smth. Might also be the distance from your mic as well. Still, you're easy to understand, so kudos and keep going:D
Breaking right before lifting off sounds cringe to me. It's an unnecessary complication caused by a lack of car control. The only reason you and some other players do it is to guarantee a hard touch with the bottom of your car due to high difference in mutual speeds at the moment of impact. But lifting off normally without hitting a break as if you were to do a conventional air dribble would simply require some boosting towards the ball in order to reach the velocities difference threshold. However I see one potential merit for break lift off and it's that such flip reset style perhaps yields tiny bit higher boost efficiency.
I only say it because it is a better chance of landing a reset. When you start to learn car control a lot more, you can land a reset pretty much any way.
'Breaking right before liftoff' has been an unspoken mech for years now. It simply helps keep you behind the ball, from the start, while in the air. How is that cringe in any way? Lmao. Play the game how you please. But letting something so miniscule get under your skin is a choice pal😘
What about from the wall to the ball? My biggest struggle is getting there fast and boosting properly. I jus can’t get good timing which I know will come with practice jus tryna speed up the process lmao
After you get that touch from the wall you jump off the wall point your car in the direction of the ball and then right before you get to the ball air roll to where your wheels hit the bottom of the ball. During all of that be sure to be feathering your boost so you aren't too fast. It also comes with a lot of practice
Don’t forget don’t hold accelerate!
100%
@@DareBrickzz hey man, I’m on console but was wondering maybe if we could hop in a private match and help me w my resets. I’m C2.
@BigMike48 got a question ..why don't u hold acceleration? Trying to learn myself does it mess up the hit on the ball

I'm glad it helped, but consistent double resets are phenomenal! Keep up the work, man, and thanks for the support!

good explanation, you only need to master your voice a little louder, ;) nice video. i sub to you for a kickstart :)
Thank you! Yeah, I notice that too when editing when I get home I'll figure out what was wrong
Subbed. Currently practicing resets, I can get them now but I land under the ball too far to where I can’t do anything with it.
When you go up for the reset instead of going straight under it, aim for more of that corner. I'll make a short when I get home if that will help!
@@DareBrickzz Sounds good! Thanks.

Amazing tutorial tbh can’t wait to get home and practice the flip resets! I also subbed and can’t wait to see more God bless! 🙏
Thank you so much! I appreciate that! I hope your practice on flip resets goes well. God bless you too

What happens if I am shooting on the left wall do I use my right headlight to do a flip set from the left wall
Doing a tornado spin helps you get under the ball, advice from a gc2
Great tutorial
Hope you get 1000 subscribers
Thank you so much! I really hope I can. It'll be a dream come true

Well said, most of us know that's the message you're trying to get across. Thanks for the vid@@DareBrickzz
I bet this is why im messing up because I keep having to chase the ball and it’s makeing it difficult, thanks for letting us all know
