- Follow along with this Silhouette Studio tutorial to learn how to create a Junk Journal! I used the drawing tools, Center to page, and the advance align features to make a precise template!
Of course, I tidied it all up with the editing points. 😉
This tutorial runs through a lot of the advance features in Silhouette Studio, so even if you're not into junk journaling, you will find a ton of helpful information.

Great lesson!! I may never make a cover for a junk journal, but this will help me immensely when I work on other projects. I have the Business Edition and I use it to design for my Scan and Cut. I have to test to see if the scoring will be recognized as scoring when bringing it into my SNC SDX machine with the embossing feature enabled.
I haven't used a Scan and Cut, so I'm not sure. This was my first attempt at a junk journal, and I probably won't make too many of them, but it was a great project for demonstrating these features. This is perfect for making box templates, as well.

Fantastic video with so much information. Do you have any suggestions for score lines using my Cameo 2? I really dislike the perforated lines.
You might want to try using an empty ball point pen in the pen adapter for score lines. I've heard that works, but I have not tried it out. I ended up just making score lines by hand, eventually. They weren't as precise, but they looked a lot better.
Thank you great tutorial 😊. However i am still struggling with the software since the update . Still not working effectively really fed up as I cannot use my new cameo 5 to its full potential. Anyone else still having issues or is it just me 😢
I just asked this same question in my FB group. There are some people that weren't ever really impacted that much. My library won't sync, but that's my only issue. Others seem to be having issues with much more. Silhouette's last update was on 6/25, saying that they had the issues resolved, and that they just need to start migrating accounts over to the new server with no estimate on how long that would take. One member of the group did say they regained access over the weekend with all of their files intact, so there is hope.

I tried using a 2mm manual blade on my cameo 4 (position 1) on oracal 651 and for some reason i'm getting serrated edges on my cuts, any reason for this? Thanks.
It could be a dull blade. You might need to increase the force and/or speed. It sounds like it is dragging and catching on the vinyl.
