    So with the NVR wired cameras do you get alerts to your phone if there is motion?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching! Yes there is an app and you get motion alerts on all of the cams if you want. My wife and I have motion alerts on our front cams Mon-Fri 7a-5p while we are at work. Works good very few false alarms due to the AI. Take care

    Hello, Can you tell me me which system is better. A onwote or lorex system. Great video. Thanks

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  3 месяца назад

      Honestly I have only used Onwote and I haven't had an issue on the two different systems I have owned. By looking at a few lorex systems online they look and cost very similar. I think they all use the same stuff but put theirs names on the them :) Thanks for watching

    What do you recomend??
    I only need 3-4 outdoor cameras. (24/7 recording, text alerts, AI, nightvision) Main focus is monitor strangers walking/riding bikes up&down road at night. I want a camera i can zoom in see whats in their hands. Weapons, tools, or sticks.
    Suggestions??

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  Месяц назад

      I would go wired if you are handy and can pull some wires and mount cameras. OnWote has a 4K four cam system with everything you want. amzn.to/4cHQQ3N No monthly fees and 24/7 recording that overlaps every 21 days. I get realtime alerts on my phone for any movement.

    Nice video and review but I cannot go for an independent hard-wired local system like this one. I need live feed on my phone from my cameras, and notifications of movements, I have WYZE cameras, the only ones that function without a monthly payment, unless you want extra features. The little WYZE cameras withstand the Canadian -30 below zero weather like a champ and they are bullet proof, very light and durable. I just pop in an SD card which gives me 4 days of loop video, if something happens and want to save the footage, I can do it right on my phone app.

      My system gives realtime notifications on all cameras and I have live views on any one of my 10 cameras. I can also schedule what times of the day I want these notifications (like at night). I have had some wyze cams and they are good but for realtime notification you have to pay. Thx for watching!

    The reviews for Onwote that I found indicated it was difficult to see faces and license plates especially if the subject was moving. Also, I want a color night vision that is clear up to 98'. I was originally going to purchase a Reolink system but now I'm confused as to what to purchase. So many out there.

      I agree there are a ton out there! Honestly I can't answer your questions I don't really look at video for those things just motion really. I like OnWote very dependable :)

    How are they working now? Do they send text alerts and do they have audio?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  6 месяцев назад

      Work great and nothing has been down. My wife and I have the app so we both get real time notifications of camera activities during certain hours of the day when we aren't home or between 10p-5a. Yes it provides but video and audio. Easy to forward the video footage via text too! Thx for watching

    I've an old fashioned 1080p HD-SDI system running down RG59 coax. Looking to replace with new system but concerned about the amount of rewiring . Was considering 4 x SPRO 4K POC which would be easier than going down the IP route . Anyone any thoughts ?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  9 месяцев назад +1

      Boy that's an old system! Man it will be worth ruining some Cat5e for adding a new system and for resale value. Cat5e would still be good long after I'm gone :) plus it's pretty cheap if buy it in bulk. I'm running several more runs in my crawl space to keep an eye on plumbing areas.

      @@HomeProHero System is fine tuned and that good that it’s been used by police several times to detect burglaries and car theft. My only guidance I could give to someone fitting a new system is to fit varifocal cameras as they can be adjusted to suit. I never buy fixed lens cameras.

      @@HomeProHero Your house seems very large, approximately how long is the farthest run of the cat5 cable you have from the camera to the basement hard drive recorder?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  3 месяца назад +1

      My recorder is in the basement is in area that is pretty centered in my house. My longest run is maybe 100-150ft (for sure no longer than 200ft). I believe the max lenght on CAT5E is around 400ft.

    Only issue is this camera company is owned by the ccp / c h I n a.

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  Месяц назад

      Yea I agree but almost every camera is made over there!

    • @2guysfishing198

      Owned by the ccp and manufacturing are or can be two different things. Even Reolink is owned by the ccp. Gotta find a better solution.
