Hey man, just wanted to say this video was recommended and I gotta say you’re an inspiration. Really making me rethink how I make my own review vids and their length especially 11/10 great vid!
I love that sound but I saw other videos on yt about these switches as well. Unfortunately they don't sound as great as your. Is your keyboard highly modded?
Please use cherry profiles for reviews. The keycaps profiles especially kat/mt3/Sa changes the sound more then the switches itself its kinda hard to give it a fair comparison.
So im new to the keyboard world, and have never actually modded or made a custom keyboard before. I was thinking about putting the KAT keycaps with the Anubis switches into my Gamakay K66 but im not sure how it will sound. Anyone have some advice on if I should or not, or any advice??
Hey did you end up doing this? I was considering purchasing the gamakay K66 too and looking for a good thocky or creamy switch. The anubis looks interesting
The sound is so nice stock they are deep which is what I need, but you said stock of these switches are inconsistent, so should I buy them? I just want stock xD
I really consider buying these switches, but regarding night time usage could someone answer if rgb light could shine through the south of the switches just a lil bit? Or they are completely opaque and do not let any light to get through? If so, is it better to get clear top u4t's that allow rgb to shine through? On the other hand, I'm getting black on white KAT alphas keycaps, so they probably will be bright enough in the night time. Guys, please advise something coz i'm stuck and can't make a decision 😀
@@zaekiy7031 TX long 62g is good at $7.50. Recently I discovered prevail key prolonged 63.5g, which I feel is even better (longer and gold plated), but costs around 11.95 for 110 springs.

I don't understand why switch sound is always the most-discussed aspect of a switch. I would rank other features much more importantly such as (1) feel and feedback when typing, (2) effect on typing speed, (3) effect on typing accuracy, and (4) effort to type on. Nobody is discussing depth of stroke which is EXTREMELEY important in a switch and affects all 4 of these aspects. I will absolutely not purchase a switch with a 4mm stroke. it is a non-starter because it is difficult to type fast with such a deep stroke. Your finger has to travel too far down, then up and over the adjacent keys without catching an edge. But with a shorter stroke, you can clear adjacent keys easier and you're wasting less time in key travel. I find that 3.0 to3.2mm switches really help with typing speed and comfort. Give it a try and discover a whole new way of evaluating switches.
Hi, has anyone compare this Anubis against the tecsee coffee chip ice cream? IMO CCIC is thockier than u4t and despite having similar tactility feels smoother, so it's currently my favorite switch. However I have not tried the Anubis, so hoping someone who has experienced both can tell me if it's worth it if I already have the u4t and the CCIC. Thank you.
@@MinhVu-qe5xj you can search a video by KEYBORED regarding the CCIC. I read somewhere I believe the Anubis is a stronger tactile bump, but I don't really like the color so I have not tried Anubis yet. Can you let me know your opinion of Anubis vs CCIC? I will swap my spring I'm CCIC to a long spring to get snappier feel, but just being lazy. My original message about smoother I was referring to the feel of the bump feels rounder rather than more abrupt/Sharp (I believe Anubis should have a sharper bump).
okay but the intro- the intro-
Interestingly, I think Anubis might be the answer to the Holy Bobas. Either way, you can't go wrong with either the U4Ts or the Anubis! Great review!
I'm torn between the Holy Bobas and the Anubis..
It is so difficult without feeling the switch on your board
@@alexvdl1 I have both but haven't built it with holy bobas yet. Anubis switches are soooo damn good to type on and the thocc is on another level.

i would only ever use xda on budget boards
agreed, not to mention the pe foam
