Thank you for testing this. Honestly, the extinguisher grenade makes the daeodon my new dragon go to because you can throw grenades from off the back and they are small enough to at least partially outmaneuver the dragon. I’ve just had too many bad dragon fights to want to play this anything but safely. However, personal preference aside, a mix of the grenades and cakes on herbivores is still probably the safest strategy. Ultimately boss fights are investments in element to keep all of that high-tier technology running. A handful of cakes and grenades seems like a good investment for fuel
I use pyromane and melee char, I’ve farmed 10s of thousands of ele just like this on island alone, fire breath doesn’t affect u when ur on the back of a pyro
Might help with a Rex army, one tribe member rides yuti for buffs and one rides daedon for heals and extinguisher nades. Dragon also has a damage buff against carnivores which is another reason people use herbivores.
It kind of defeats the purpose of saving resources by not using veggie cakes, but if you stuck to the classic 21K health veggie cake powered theri army AND used extinguisher grenades to cancel the fire DoT, wouldn't that be just about the safest possible option? If a fire breath is canceled by the extinguisher grenades then that veggie cake that would have been consumed can go to healing damage from the melee attacks instead
that as you said would be the safest but also the most time consuming and resource heavy, taming carnies like rexes etc is always easier, faster and theres more of them available in the wilds as they are very easy to find good candidates for breeding, the addition of the extinguishing grenades makes it a lil more costly but its now back to being the fastest strategy whit the best result :P in short its more cost efficient
it's definitely the safest strategy, but it just basically adding another investment to an already safe strat. Unless you specifically want to farm the dragon for element I think it's basically wasted time. The whole idea of the grenade in my opinion it to cut your investment to win this fight and progress. first by somewhat replacing the veggie cakes in countering the fire breath. And second, by allowing you to use a carnivore army, that you probably already bread for the other bosses, instead of having to breed a separate army for the dragon.
I have been finding xiph saddles fairly consistently from normal crates, so I assume it could just be RNG. You could always try looking for cave drops and deep sea loot crates though, since that seems to be the place you tend to find saddles for high end tames
I think cave loot crates are your best bet, and if you also have bobs dlc, the treasure chest are also pretty good. i got a 350 armor deino saddle from one.
They also make taming pyros easy as hell can put them out in middle of swarmed areas instead of dragging of to water or hoping for a rain storm
Trueeee. Especially on SE, where they spawn in the trench that is very useful.
I didn't even realize all the new things that came out with the last bobs tall tales pack
Subscribed due to the creative process you shown us, right on man!

Yeap, if you can afford both, that's definitely the safest way.
Just do veggie cakes and two theris you can glitch the theris to not be bitten by the dragon and you'll only catch one flame dude methods ass asf

If the spino gets the water buff from the grenade they're probably the best option
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that
Loving my swamp puppy army so far
Simply the best

yes with 2 riders things are much easier.

Use a fully charged Giga bite on the dragon just before it takes flight…. You’re welcome
the same for the Manticor
💪
You can take gigas into boss fights now. And charged bite?
Ohhhh. I watched the video and I understand now 😂
@@dannyzwain85 two tap that boss 😂 but no one makes a video about it
I will
Do the melee meta for fight but use these when he burns me and now it’s even easier to solo alpha
Wanna hear the result:))
Yeah!!!!
2:23 sucker for what bro? 😭🙏🏼
Melee character on a deer or pyro and use a 298 sword. Ez
How much melee?
Are you using singleplayer settings?
Yes.
@SpartacusSurvives oh, that's how you got so good stats. Thanks for letting me know
Where can I get deino saddle Bp on the island?? I want to use them for all the bosses
I have been finding xiph saddles fairly consistently from normal crates, so I assume it could just be RNG. You could always try looking for cave drops and deep sea loot crates though, since that seems to be the place you tend to find saddles for high end tames
I've found two a saddle and a BP both in one swamp cave run on the island

Do spinos get water buff fron grenades
That’d be sweet
well it depends how they work. will definitely give it a shot :))
Can confirm that these grenades do NOT give a Spino the water buff. Just an extinguished buff.
Theris don't take fire damage...it's a no brainer.
This or pyromane :)
This allows you to use dinos much stronger than the pyromane.
Ride pyro with my 50k 1.3k melee Rex. Hmm. I going to be scared to try that solo
u help me to unlock the cloner on official pve??
Just use pyros lol
Why do it hard way..
Stop making trash content and show people how to do it with 1-2 theris and veggies it's the fastest easiest way to do alpha drag on repeat
How the hell is this trash? It's genius
Expt the deinos they wouldn't be my first pick for boss battle
