i like how Finn's universe is mostly magic with some normalcy
while Fionna's universe became mostly normal, with some magic
the mirror parallels continue
despite being mirror parallels its interesting Fionna's world doesn't have the Lich, possibly the ONLY universe that didn't have a variation of lich at least
@@lawgx9819Since Lich have killed Prismo once, he might have not include it in when he created the universe
I loved this series so much! But am I the only one getting so annoyed of them bringing the lich back in a bad ass way JUST to kill him off immediately.
What happened to golb betty?? She turned into a light in form something
@0u0_HAPPY my theory is that golb and sacarab's/prismo/orbo's boss is the same entity. The phone has 2 stars, and an angel wing and a red demon wing. I feel like when golb sparkled after blowing simon away they began to transform to the boss and then began to talk to the scarab
I loved how Betty says something like “you were an amazing experience” I can’t remember the actual line but she says experience insinuating that she has moved on essentially from the unhealthy obsession with Simon and since she’s immortal she’s got so much more to “experience” beyond him now. Also I saw another comment mention that the bus destination was deciphered to “comet” which makes me think since Betty was able to move on she’s being reborn as a catalyst comet
Fionna choosing to keep her world the way it is was such a welcomed twist that perfectly showed off her character development throughout the show.
Facts i thought we was annoying at first but she really took everything in I hate cake😭
@@mrrning6strr588why? Cake had every right to not want to be a normal cat
That was a very difficult and perhaps risky decision... but a wise, intelligent, mature and correct decision on her part. She knows that she cannot sacrifice the reality of literally two parallel worlds/universes so different from each other just because she wants to, on a whim or because she is bored with her original world or things like that.
When she made the wish, I just assumed she'd wish for everyone to be the them they wanted to be. If that isn't what she wished for, it feels like she took agency away
@@professorpengu502yes, but cake was very welcoming of the idea of changing everyone in their world. Even accepted the possibility of Gary and Marshall hating eachother when they go back to their old selves. She didn't care.
you know it’s almost horrifying to see the Lich a character that we all saw as the Ultimate Evil when we were all kids get instantly Off’d by Golb like it was absolutely nothing. In fact it’s almost weird to see a new side of the Lich that we have never seen before but at the same time Im oretty sure we all never questioned what the Lich would do if he was the last being in existence. No Life, no golb, no Finn and Jake, no magic, no Primordials, no way to escape, no nothing, just him being free to roam a empty void or a desolate world with him not even being able to shut down like he did in Prismo’s time room
Comic lich wouldn’t let that happen to him 🙏😂 golb would NOT have turned comic lich into a tetris block.
This is the only time we have seen the Lich die without any remnant of him remaining
"instantly Off'd" "like it was absolutely nothing" THAT HAPPENS EVERY TIME. Beaten to death by sweater, killed by life ooze, then by the same toddler made from it. A cone activated by the words "A man needs a maid" At this point I'm betting a banana peel is what does it next.
@@OPIUMCrodybro it's literally golb
@@memeymeme.
Death 1: Finn needed the power of love to withstand the Lich’s influence and survive, and it still required physical effort to destroy him. Keep in mind he was weakened at this state, so destroying him was far easier.
Death 2(not technically a death, but whatever): The Lich is a being of death/ technically is undead. The life ooze is simply a natural counter to him as it reverses his state.
Death 3: The cone was chosen specifically by Prismo to be able to destroy Farm Finn, who was an extremely powerful sorcerer at that point, presumably at the same level as the Lich , as the Lich didn’t have his pool of magic.
Death 4: Sweetpea, even though he is a baby, is still extremely strong physically with(presumably) a resistance to the Lich’s magic, while the Lich was literally just a hand
I think a show really stands out as captivating, when most people's major complaint is that WE WANT MORE!!!
Ture😁
I just wanted Simon to put on the crown the whole time
It's kinda a double-edged sword when people's biggest complaint is wanting more for a show after it ends.
On the one hand (like Distant Lands and Fiona and Cake just did for Adventure Time), it can help build up more cool things from it's original story.
On the other hand, things can easily stagnate or produce some iffy stuff when it should've ended sooner (like how people have felt when a franchise gets a ton of sequels with a few of them being good, or at least okay, or something like the Simpsons when it continues on for too long).
Why else it says the fun will never end during the show opening sequence.
It’s kinda ironic that Simon being selfish actually led to her living longer because if he went with her on the bus they wouldn’t have found the crown and they would’ve died from the mushroom bomb
An interesting thing to note is the destination on Betty's bus. Someone deciphered the symbols which translate to "Comet", implying that Betty is being reborn as a new Catalyst Comet
OMYGLOB EHAT IF IN A SPINOFF ABOUTH SHERM AND BETH SHE APPEARES AS THE COMET
@@Nicola-wd2oe It's possible. I would love to see that
Source please?
That sounds plausible, and here's hoping it comes true.
@@johnnygyro2295 Did RUclips eat my reply to you?
I say fionna and cakes world being canonized is the most amazing thing ever and prismo has a roommate now which is scarab
I think the next step for Adventure Time is a Shermy and Beth show. The finale perfectly teases their adventure of forming a rebellion against Gibben. And since Simon is immortal it would be cool if he meets with Beth again to thank her for her advice
Where is it stated that Simon is immortal? I thought that was only when he was Ice King? Isn't he aging cause of his white hair?
@@parkerd2919 hmm yeah but Betty wished for the power to keep Simon safe.. so like that could be safe from death too..
@keanes8608 thats not how it works, hes clearly getting older and isn't in that future time
He lost the immortality when he was freed of the curse, he’s visibly aging and even says to himself at the end of the episode “Jerry” as he is preparing to put on the crown that he will become immortal again implying he is not without the crown.
not to mention what will happen if sweet pea dies....
the lich will be back and in a much stronger body.......
They made Fionnas and Cakes universe the most unique. Which is interesting considering they started off as a copy of Prismos favorite universe.
I loved the ending, i just can't believe they teased prismos boss so hard, and then didn't show him. He was a major plot point and we still haven't seen him. This gives me hope for season 2/ more adventure time content.
What if prismos boss represents order while golb represents chaos?
Only time will tell if there is a season two or not but man! Watching the last two episodes made me feel deep about Simon because he’s almost someone I can relate.
I'm happy they didn't outright show the boss
I think the idea of there being a second season could lead to Fionna and Cake facing off against some sort of threat that originates from their world. Maybe it's trying to find a way into the multiverse for some reason. Leading to us seeing even more wish worlds.
Fiona and cake word Litch 😎
Theory: the female counterpart of Ash accidentally got sent to Simon’s mind and is slowly losing her sanity.
@@calvinfujii5921wait omg I forgot that she straight up fell😭
That or the vampires figure out multiversal travel so they can conquer other worlds/have more people to drain/eat.
@@Keanessright
It's an official universe now that's means the lich constant takes effect now
The final showed that everything that happened had to happen for the greater good.
If Simon doesn’t stop Betty at the bus stop, we get the world where the Winter King projects his madness on Princess Bubblegum. We know this because in that world, the Winter King states he doesn’t remember a significant relationship with Betty. This relationship made him kinder and lady obsessed, so he would never project his madness on someone else like PB. I mean The Ice King did bad things in the first seasons of AT but the Winter King surpassed everything that the mainstream Ice King did.
If Simon doesn’t find the crown and die he will never met Marceline and this will be bad as seen in the Vampire World.
Simon had to find the crown so that he could live to guide Marceline to be good, which creates the necessary breathing room to the survival of Humanity and to Bubblegum create the Candy Kingdom and it's inhabitants.
Finding the crown and dating Betty means saving everything and ultimately losing Betty. While the outcome is very very sad, it does seem the Ooo we know benefited significantly from these events transpiring.
There is no way Jay would leave his world unless his dad was still alive to protect his siblings.
And he didn’t seem like someone who was mourning the death of his father either so I guess safe to say Finn is ok
Of course plus leaving the siblings without a dad would b weird but either prismo fixed dad Finn or his injury was as bad cuz the hat helped not completely pierced his head
Simon doesnt sympathize with the Lich he empathized. Simon never for a second felt sorry for the lich he just understood what the lich was feeling
The Lich: I DID EVERYTHING FOR YOU!
Golb: I don't even know who you are
I think the finale serves as a proper series finale. Sure, I would have loved more episodes but the series so far ended on a amazing note that how can you follow up on that with a season 2?
Maybe if they could continue the series if they turned into an anthology series.
I think that Together Again is the true Adventure Time finale. Fionna and Cake feels more like an epilogue to the mainline series
While the Wish Lich got done in, there’s a farm world Lich Hand who was presumably hellbent on multiversal eradication of life + their own Lich in every single universe and nothing really came about because of that besides what we saw of the hand that landed in Ooo.
Season 2 could be about Fionna and cake facing against prismo’s boss
Pretty sure it wasn’t just some magical dandelion. Simon literally threw up Fionna’s world out of his head.
The ending feels like a fanfiction and I think that's kind of fitting.
Although I really don't like how they wrote the scarab though, they felt like a threat exactly thrice in the movie. And all 3 times they were quickly reduced to a joke.
yeah plus at the end prismo ended up being a deus ex machina, showing up just a the right time at the last second to save Fiona and cake, i love how the show went but that part i was just like eh :/
@@Chipotlesizzleand out of all the people prismo could bring in to save the day he chose two teen couple, a baby with a tank, and a talking squirrel with curse fruit.
@@Chipotlesizzle that's the main reason it felt like a fanfic to me. (Not saying there aren't more, but they're minor)
Yeah scarab wasn't much of a villain, but I think using the characters' inner problems as a plot driving force instead of a villain is more interesting.
9:40 I'm not sure but I think the dandelion was able to fulfill one wish, and since Fiona's wish was to save her reality. It made it canon (like every wish does)
the way golbetty started glowing at the end was interesting to me. combined with the destination plaque on Betty's bus saying comet I think the implication is that golb and betty have separated because Betty's wish was fulfilled and betty is being reborn as a catalyst comet.
The Lich is Sort of like Betty. He sacrifice everything for the One he admired the most. (I don't mean Personal Sacrifice I mean He Literally Sacrificed Everything) and Ended up becoming a Golb Piece.
Betty sacrifice Everything for Simon and she Ended up becoming Golb.
Betty and The Lich two beings sacrificing everything for the one they admired now force to Drift forever as a part of Golb.
Betty The Last Scholar of Simon Petrikov and Lich The Last Scholar Golb.
Technically by using the GOLB portal ritual Simon himself is a Scholar of GOLB
How funny is it that both Simon and Betty were much better scholars of Golb than the lich ever was.
I feel as though this was a one and done. I am really happy where this ended and I'm not too sure where they could go from here. If they want to make a new show following Shermie and Beth or another character, I would be down. I think everyone ended in a good place here, though.
Can we just appreciate the show don't tell the approach of this show?
I mean think of this, what did we see in these parallel universes?
If Simon had gone on the buss with Betty. He would not have found the crown. He would have died to the Mushroom bomb and vampires would have ruled the world with Marceline as their star.
Had Betty left on the buss without Simon with her... She would have become. "The dead one." not having a stronger relationship with Simon, and he would have become the winter king. Doing who knows what to Ooo.
While Simon and Betty made mistakes... While their love was never going to grant them a happy ever after... Their love ultimately saved the world. And their decisions and actions had profound effects on the future, leading to the best outcome it could have been given the situation.
And the fact the show didn't spell it out for us, but trusted the audience enough to just observe and think about it... is pretty damn amazing.
True. I was thinking about that a few days ago how like, if Betty never jumped through the portal to the future, she would’ve just died to the mushroom bomb
No one can understand how much I love this show's moral of living life to the fullest even if it isn't perfect and how your life is still worth it even if you made mistakes in the past/this isn't what you planned and how there are good things in your reality, seize your life and be spontaneous and LIVE, damnit! It's such an important message and they executed it so well, in my opinion.
(There are a couple flaws. Jay, Destiny, Baby Finn, and Peppermint Tank moving to a different dimension feels counter-intuitive to the moral they just taught. Marceline and Simon never had a proper conversation. But I still love it.)
The ending was a little emotional to deliver for the series elements with Fionna and Cake, but i understand the whole concept from that universe. I also understand Simon emotional state and he later realizes that he needs to let Betty go and find something that makes himself happy and put his past events at peace. He failed to save her after a few failed attempts on getting her back.
I think Fionna wished for everyone to be safe, just as Betty wished for Simon to be safe.
I would not mind a second season just being an animated sitcom 😂
Why is that?
@@sonicgalaxy27 because it'd be interesting to just see them in their world. I'm not a fan of it staying normal and not magic but with stuck with that so
I would love a slice of life adventure time
I love this series it was downright amazing from beginning to end that's all I can say it taught us that sometimes that's okay to be normal but sometimes it isn't easy to be normal too but also you can always have everything even when you lose your loved ones you just got to learn how to keep going sure those scars won't heal but as long as you don't quit or give life can be worth living even when your loved ones aren't there with you.
Seeing how the lich got turned into that shape thing, it makes wonder if the other shapes surrounding Golb are other scholars of golb who met the same fate?
Maybe other versions of the lich from other worlds he's destroyed, where he opens a portal and does the exact same thing each time?
There's not much mentioned about other scholars tbh
I like how we see interactions between different powers in this show.
Ice King is powerful, but not that powerful in the grand scheme of things, but he was able to imprison the Scarab almost effortlessly (though I doubt it would have lasted).
Golb is pure chaos and destruction, an entity so powerful that anything devoured by it can't be brought back by prismo, who can casually make universes.
And yet, Golb can't kill Scarab. He's Immortal, with a capital I.
We've seen stuff like this before, like the healing juice in the prison transforming the Lich into a living creature, despite the Lich being able to corrupt the crystals in that same prison.
It's a massive rock-paper-scissors game, and I want to know more.
Fionna and Cake definitely have a lot going for it and they handled its predecessors work fairly amazingly, (The nostalgic moments that reused old moments, the shows overall maturity and it answered old questions while being generally good writing.)
Needless to say episode 10 made it feel it could be the end of the show but since it was so good and the fact that they handled it so well begs the question of their being a season 2.
I would love for it to be, but as it is, they wouldn’t need to, that is unless they do something insane, but Idk what that could be…
In the beginning "Fiona and Cake" was basically just "Genderbend Adventure time", but throughout this series, its like your seeing the development of their universe into something deeper and more unique than the original fanfiction.
I never really liked the original fionna and cake episodes, but I trusted adventure time to deliver with this show and they sure did.
This show just really had to bring my kid memories. Amazing experience. Truly grateful for it.
I really loved how they further developed characters that were more or less not important in the main adventure time timeline. I do wish they could’ve had more Fin and Jake since the promotion for the show did shine a bright light on them being possibly a key element for the overall show. Other than that I loved the story the show creators set out to make. Love this series so much.
in some Strange ways this series finale of Fionna and Cake was more satisfying then the actual Adventure Time series finale
I had mixed emotions on the ending. The majority of the series was great and I enjoyed a lot. However the last few episodes sorta dropped the ball. I thought Fionna was going to go through more development to become a true hero, like Finn. She kinda remained the same and left/abandoned all the different people she met. For her being a mirror of Finn, she doesnt do too much helping or saving until a few scenes at the end. Also the Scarab did not feel like a cosmic cop at the end of the series because he was able to be subdued by a bunch of humans. Also what about Farmworld? At the end Finns son and Big Ds daughter just leave their world and everything in it? Didnt his dad die? What about his younger siblings? Who will take care if them? Kinda not cool and not something Finns kids would do. Simons plot was great though and was a very satisfying ending for him. I felt the series had lots of beginning strong points but fumbled in the end. Hopefully if theres a season 2 my problems with the series will be fixed.
Here me out in episode one Hunter gives Fiona a dandelion, telling her that they can grant wishes, and now we their universe turned into a dandelion, I definitely think that this is a way of saying Fiona made a wish in that moment, and to me her wish, had to be something along the lines of I wish everybody gets to choose their own destiny, or that everybody gets to choose how they want to live, allowing those who want magic to have it and those who don’t to be able to continue their lives as they were
NOW we can see full circle in story. Fiona and cake adventure allow Simmon to learn about his choices and finally open more about himself to others. Fan girl of Fionna and Cake sees Fionna and cake and hears Simmon's story. Inspired she writes about her own fictions. thousands of years later Story inspire a game book and was donated to turtle kingdom library. Simmon in shermy's body finds the book and learns his lesson.
To me this finale felt great, it could've been different where fionna made everything magical but even she said that the world was not hers to change, coming to terms that this was her reality and it may be better than she thought was heartfelt, i wouldn't mind a second season but i think this is a fine finale what i would like to see is more of beth and shermy, like they teased us and given us so many tidbits about the future ooo that it would be awesome if there was a 10 ep season of adventure time with shermy and beth
I want a second season to tie up some loose ends such as farm world finn's condition, what is going on in the vampire world with pb and marcey, and what was it that cause fionna ans cake to demagic things they touch or if it was demagic-ing in the first place.
I dont see anyone mentioning how Prismo glitched at the end, and im wondering if thats going to be a theme of Season 2.
I loved this show way more than I was expecting to. I hope there is another season but I don't think there needs to be another.
I thought that in the end we will see Simon singing a song ending the show while playing his classic drums.
I didn't even think they might make a season 2 that would be totally mathematical 🤩
My biggest complaint is the lack of ice thing, I would have liked a scene of simon and ice thing interacting because like it would be poetic and messed up
Ice Thing *is* in the background at the end of ep 10, you see Ice Thing in the background near Simon when he's at the bar. It may not be much, but it's something!
Tbh I was happy that we even saw him at all, but yeah an interaction would've been nice.
"You were a wonderful experience"
"You were everything."
The ending felt rushed for me, unless we get another season
I do like that Fionna and Cake's world is now kinda a blend of some magical creatures and just regular normal world too.
I absolutely loved this show and it completely demolished my expectations.
It was so great for only 10 episodes, I think it wrapped up perfectly but I can't help but want to see more.
If they do end up doing more Fiona and Cake I hope they drop the Multiverse thing and stick to Fiona and cakes universe.
Her world could get pretty crazy too.
While her Universe was in Simon's mind parts of it reflected Simon's personality, now that the Universe exists within everyone in Fiona's universe the world may start to change and reflect their own personalities.
So while Fiona and cakes World won't be an off-brand land of ooh anymore but a reflection of all of the characters in this world, and seeing as they dream about The World of Magic they all used to live in I think Fiona's world will end up ripe with magic and looking a lot different than the Ooo we are familiar with.
the dandelion I believe represented Fionna universe entirely, and by making a wish on in, she was able to connect it and everyone in her universe to the rest of the multiverse making them cannon. Hell scarab even mention how he cant believe the universe is not canonized
I think the ending is great and leaves room for more. Now that Fiona and cake are canon, they can freely explore their universe
I hope Simon find love, get married and have a family with someone in Season 2. He really deserves it after everything he been through.
The Lich being offed, although pretty brutal looking as it seemed harsh… actually was doing him some good…considering why he was there pleading. He was simply put out of his misery. She helped him too. There was no other way around that.
Fiona and cake most definitely delivered cause I didn’t know what to expect when it was first announced but it was amazing only little negatives overall. I had a great time and hope it’s popular enough to get a season2.
I enjoyed the finale. It was satisfying and I am happy they didn't get magic back.
I'm not. They were made to be magic
Im still sad for betty and simon tho ngl
I'm sad for them too but it's a hard lesson that Simon needed to learn. He can't be selfish and think for himself. He needs to think of others, as for their world losing magic. It's hard to say. They were created by Prismo who broke the rules... theirs that.
@@fierygamer582 i still feel like it didn’t need to be this way, idk man is probably better the way they did in the show, is just that i got so much invested in this couple i really wish i could see they together. I never really liked bittersweets endings hshsh. But i have to say that i dit not like the way that they portrait simon as the “selfish” of the relationship. I think every sacrifice betty did for him he would do for her if he had the chance.
The fionna and cake fan girl, is what I believe to be the creator of the story Casper and Nova since simon only describes it to her, but she creates it which leads to it being in the future of the library as it's own book. Neat stuff
The most terrifying thing is that the lich's rant to Betty/glob
Definitely needs to be a second season. The way they set up the multiverse was destined to make the ending almost impossible to wrap up all the stories in the other worlds. I loved the series but it just felt so out of place when farmworlds Finn’s son and peppermint butler tank just appeared out of no where with no explanation on what happened to them. Did farmworld Finn die? What happened to the Star and vampire hunter PB? Only solution is more adventure time!!!
We are definitely getting a season 2
ill be so pissed if not
Wonder how it would work tho
Not much of a goal to to have when everyone has what they need/want
Man this was amazing. I’m glad I watched you talk about it
One thing I like about this series as the whole is that Golb the destroyer of worlds. Created one. And the theme of ever change adventure time did continues in such a nice way
They have all the reason to keep it going if they can just go as long as the ideas flow freely and you don't have to search for episode ideas
These Episodes were quite something, a pretty well done and fitting finale, i was hoping for more from The Lich though, i would’ve liked to see Fionna and Cake vs The Lich, but i guess him meeting Golb was good enough, but the Question of if this really is the end of The Lich is still pretty much up in the air, ‘cause after all at this point, you never know with him.
Anyway, at this point, I do wonder what we could expect from this Franchise, if we ever do get more,
If we do, what would any of you prefer? A Season 2 of this Show or a new Show? Or heck, maybe even a Movie?
Or would any of you even want more from Adventure Time at this point or do you think we’ve had enough?
I would like to know your thoughts.
Personally i think adventure time can finally rest weve had for 4 endings come along with me ended the world of oos arc fighting golb together 2 ending distant lands gave the side characters there deserved ending and finn and jake theres as well as simon finishing his arc alongside fiona and cake
Honestly, I feel like this is a fine way to conclude the story of Fionna, Cake and Simon so season 2 while I would be greatly appreciate, it wouldn't be that high for me on the list I wanted to see more of.
Shermy and Beth though, I loved them and their land of Ooo 1000 years after the event of Adventure Time and I really wish they could have a whole new series to explore. The fun will never end if you know what I mean
It wouldn’t be the end of the lich becsue he appears in distant lands. It’s just the end of that lich, but there are plenty of others
@@duykhangtran4406 hm, fair and valid points and opinions, though personally I don’t think Simon would necessarily need to be part of Season 2 as a Main Character, it could just be a Story about Fionna and Cake, but yeah I can see where you’re coming from.
Also, yes, i would like to know more about 1000 Years Old Ooo too.
@@calebsolonas6085 hm, fair point, but we’ll see how things goes.
i was a good "final episode" but it doesn't really work as a finale. they didn't wrap up any of the alternate universes and left me wondering about their fates. is farm world finn dead??? what happened with the vampire king??? is original finn okay??? there's still things we need to wrap up and idk if they ever wil be
Vampire king would just go back to doing what he was already doing. Makin people dye till he dies. And why wouldn’t Og Finn be okay, nothing happened to him?
Ending was contrived and lackluster.
Honestly the most surprising thing is how cute Scarb face is- like I was not thinkin it would look that silly! Also glad they didn’t kill him off!
i was hoping that simon would talk about his problems with marceline but the terapy was cool too i gues
I wish we could've seen more of the Ice King! They hinted earlier in the show that simon missed being the ice king and Fionna even mentioned that he looked happy as the Ice King, I feel like that was the only thing they could've added near the end.
The only thing that was not resolved was Fiona and cake's abyility to make everything they touch in other universes lost their magic. Which I now get that power comes from Golb somehow.
I think if there is a season two, it will be taking place oonly in fiona and cake reality. And now that they are connected to the other parts of they multiverse, magic will start to leak in, and their adventures will have the theme of a reagular world but dealing with magic little things.
I realized that if Gunther didn't took the crown and wished to be the Ice King, Simon could've just use his crown and wished to be magical. Being insane only came from the fact that original wish was turning user into Evergreen
I don't think Gunter wished to be ice king. I think the crown had went back to the way it was before entering Golb. My assumption for this is because of how much more Gunther resembles Evergreen instead of Ice King.
The original wish iirc was to keep Betty safe, but because of the vagueness of the wish and the immense power it bestowed to the user, Simon could not control it
I’m just so proud of Fiona’s characters development cake is kinda annoying with her ignorance it’s not funny at all like Jake she’s just coming off as a real u grateful cat
Then... why we didn't see Simon in Together again? He turned into an immortal?
And can Simon travel to Fionna an cake's universe now or it stills inside his head?
I think Fionna and Cake would be benefitting from an epilogue episode. Like, for us to see all the consequences of the changes they did in the multiverse, set up better all the characters in their places after they move on (like how the son of Farmworld Finn handled being away from his family) and maybe set up a cliffhanger for the next season or series. This last 2 episodes didn't quite feel like a season finale since there is so many lose ends that I just can't really believe the authors forgot, and I dont think people undertand how useful a next season would be for tying up everything. Like, where is Simon now? where is Betty now? what happened to Jake? What happened to golbetty? what are the bad things Scarab said that would happen? Will Finn know about the existence of Fionna? Will Lich succeed on his plan to kill the multiverse? Who is the Prismo and Scarab boss? What happened to the vampire universe? What happened with the world of OOO after 1000 years? Who made the Enchiridion? Does Evil Choose Goose is dead or will he return with a plan? Besides Simon, Finn and Jake, no other character in Adventure Time got a good closure, everything is still pretty much open and I dont thing people realize that this season finale is not a "show finale". There are tons of things and characters to be worked upon. I know everyone has cocerns about the lack of some closures in this series, but we have to undertand that this was not the shows intetion at all, with only 10 episodes there is only has much that can be done, it would be impossible to tie up everything so lets hope they bring some new things to fix that.
Your explanation never ceases to amaze, the problem with Fiona and cake imo was that while it was fan service and it did explain some other underlying things like what happened to that universe after ice king became Simon, where is GolBetty, and is shermy and Betty still a thing I think one of the main problems is just that it didn’t feel all to great of a series. Was it magically and had a great animation team? Yes, did the story work out well? In my opinion no not really. As much as I love AT I feel like sometimes when I good story ends it should just be ended instead of trying to revive it in new ways but of course big corporations love money so they won’t let it rest in peace
I feel like Fionna and Cake's universe could be a hub for whenever universes need to cross over for whatever reason, or when people lose their place in their original universes in search of asylum. I don't think, now that it's canonised, that they can escape magic. I think magic, along with all the good and bad of what that would entail, will come to them now that they are real.
I feel like the end could've been done better, especially the bit where baby finn appeared from no where in a tank.
Otherwise I loved this small series
The only part of cheers I don't like is this one line, "the enchiridion can wait, lets go looking for (blah blah blah)" because, as shown in the episode "Jerry," the bus scene came after the enchiridion expidition
Simon and Betty found the Enchiridian BEFORE he stopped her at the bus stop to confess his feelings for her. He didn't make her drop everything to come with him. She chose to do so, and he just didn't notice. What annoys me is everyone calling Simon selfish when he was actually oblivious at worst. That's like saying autistic people are selfish, because they don't automatically know what the other person wants unless they're told. Smh... 🤦🏿♀️ Seriously, bro didn't even know Betty liked him until it was literally spelled out in a note. He didn't seem to recognize people were making fun of him. Sometimes, it's hard for autistic people to recognize when people are trolling them. Before you jump me, yes, I am an autistic person and experienced the difficulties with social situations. The thing is, Betty made her own choices, and he can't make her do anything if he even wanted to. Betty is stubborn and not willing to quit or back down. Simon actually thought she wanted to be with him but didn't realize she dropped everything. It's good he learns that she was doing this, but, as Betty said, they made their choices but have no regrets.
We need Season 2, this show should at least have 4 season. Even though being an adult show, it might not get much views.
nah jay didnt care about his dads death im not forgiving that oversight. i dont care about time constraints or anything jay just didnt care.
I personally loved the ending it been getting quite alot of hate glad to see that you loved it to
After watching this and finishing Fiona and Cake made me wanna watch adventure time again.
The Lich essentially begging his god for answers only to be destroyed is genuinely chilling.
I like how EVERYONE who makes videos about it is saying "oh yeah Simon and Betty/Golb are done now."
Like their COMPLETELY IGNORING the tone shift and the scene that shows the bus is still moving somewhere. And that Betty/Golb is still not finished.
Not to mention Minerva just straight up told Simon, "you're gonna forget and relearn these lessons in a cycle, that's just how these things work"
Then you also gotta remember how neither Simon nor Betty are in the Dead World in Distant Lands which it's *very* obvious that excluding future characters like Jake's kids or people who never age like PB and Marceline, Finn was the last one to go.
So ***clearly*** neither of those 2 are done.
But I think the lesson for Simon was: "don't be a suicidal recluse, keep going even if you don't want to anymore."
But *clearly* Simon and Betty are not done with each other.
the lich is still a major threat.
lich 1, 2 and 3 may be block-rized, sweet pea, and reset, but there are still MORE out there in the multiverse.....
we've seen them multiple times just in this series alone........
and like the og they ALL have one function to kill everything........
i not to mention sweet pea is a literal ticking time bomb, because he's a primordial which is stronger then the lich and when he dies the lich will regain his body and have new powers......
honestly the only place left to go in my mind is to deal with the future lich problem..... then deal with the multiverse lich problem......
only one thing is wrong with this plan though.
finn's dead.......like og finn is dead......so who's going to stop him if not finona and cake.....
because the only other person who could is being reborn.....
@@Nightout88shermy and Beth would probably stop ultimate dead sweet pea lich
I thinks it interesting how the origami soldiers could be a callback to the episode “Paper Pete” and how the library could have been destroyed due to the war paper Pete and his soldiers had with the moldo. This restarting after Finn could no longer provide the moldo his pants after he died… The references continue.
They did nothing with Fionna's issue of removing magic from everything she touches.
Whole thing seemed a bit rushed
I remember seeing the paperlings again and shouting "Paper Pete, you used to be cool!" 😂😂😂
in my head canon, eventually someone from fionas universe will find the echiridion or another passage and wish prismo to make their world magic, therefore creating another world that exactlly matches the original fiona and cake universe.
I think one of my favorite parts with these 2 episodes is the bootstrap paradox in it
Simon plays thr Casper and Nova book in future Ooo, gets sent back to his bidy, everything else happens how it happens, Simon then speaks to Astrid about everything that happened and Astrid goes on to create the book that Simon will read in future Ooo.
He reads her book so she can make the book!
so i took it as Fionna wished for a "normal world" when she wished on the dandelion, making it a legit world healing all the damage the scarab did cause he can't do anything to a legit world (you also see her mention it at the end when she says "a normal world")
To me “ the fun will never end with adventure time “
I honestly just wish Betty got closure. Simon got closure but Betty is still part of Golb, all alone in no particular dimension. Even if her death would be sad, it would’ve been a better fate than being trapped alone doing nothing.
I thought he basically ascended or reincarnated to something. Since she leaves in the bus then golb reverts to his orignal form
Betty was separated from GOLB and she immediately died and was reborn as a Catalyst Comet. The show wasn't very clear about it though
i was kinda hoping everyone got to decide if they wanted to be magical or not but this ending was nice
Betty's wish with the crown was "However it has to happen, I wish for the power to keep Simon safe." and since we know it reads your mind for context... Honestly I think Golbetty was influencing this entire series from the beginning. She considers not allowing him to become the mad Ice King again part of keeping him safe. Consider that the only instance we saw of Simon alive in the multiverse was a universe where he found a method to transfer the madness onto Princess Bubblegum. I think Golbetty, chaos itself, has always been warping events around him to keep him safe and not the Ice King. We get to see it happening directly once he's in her dimension, every time someone tried to mess with Simon she acted to protect him, every time he tried to put the crown on she stops him. I think this whole CHAOTIC adventure was a direct consequence of Simon trying to use that ritual to get to Betty and her shutting him down, and then when he kept trying to become Ice King again she kept stopping it.
That could explain the specific universes they landed in. She was trying to show him that his life as himself is valuable with the alternate universes being results of what could've been. The Star is where he never found the crown. Winter King is if he never cared about anyone else other than himself. An evil counterpart, if you will. Baby World is just BMO's wish. Farmerworld was Finn's wish, but Simon stopped the mushroom bomb, leaving magic to have never been released, and humans had to start civilization all over again as a post apocalyptic world. Lich's Dead World finally led to him seeing her again. These universes, except the baby one, showed the impact of Simon's decisions. The Star was probably a reality where he DID get on the bus with her, never found the crown, and Betty never leaving him before the mushroom war, BUT it led to Vampire King finding the crown, Simon never raising Marcy, and all the humans, including him, being killed off. It's unknown if Betty died before him or vice versa, but we can see his remains alone here, so he was killed by a vampire before little Marcy ever found him. What happened in our original timeline needed to happen for the good of the world, because it could've been way worse off.
What I want to know is what that pyramid and cube fusing into an apple with a white ribbon meant at the end.
this show us alot different from adventure time
lets hope it can follow in adventure times footsteps and incrodice us to a wondeful world that will stick in our minds for years to come
I love how much sacrifice is in this show. Each adventurer has to give something up. Simon the archeologist loses his mind and his Partner. Billy the GOAT Adventurer loses his family and aventually his life and body, and Fin loses his arm and eventually Jake. For a kids cartoon this goes hard.
I like that Simon got the closure that Finn never did.
