Among all the games in this video... The ones I'm familiar with are: -DD3 Rosetta Stone NES (there was a nes rental near us and this is the go to 2P game) -DD5 Shadow Falls (due to the Saturday Morning cartoon, big fan of the transformations) -Double Dragon The Movie (we had a video rental shop before so I get to watch this one on VHS.. wasn't aware of the game until friends introduced me to MAME, if I'm not mistaken there's also a PS1 or PS2 version.. someone correct me if I'm wrong) Anyway nice video had good nostalgia! New sub here!
1st seeing and playing DD blew me away as a 13 year old. Fact you can have your friends play with you have your back and all different fighting scenarios moves, as it was a scroll screen game unaware what was coming next. Was hilarious and so much fun. And the fact you can continue progress by adding more coins was genius. The musics were great and twist ending after final boss where you have to fight each other for girl was cherry on top.
The moves in the new version are ridiculous, I really miss a knee to the enemy's face that throws him away, leaning over the enemy lying on the ground and punching, giving a super hook and seeing the enemy fly
it blows my mind that all years with this franchise, double dragon 2, is still consider the best overall, and it came out what in 80s hahahahaha, i doubt ever be topped!
This is not all Double Dragon games. There was few other Double Dragon games. Like a exclusive game for Brazilian console called Zeebo, that looks very amazing in my opinion. Then there is mobile iOS version of that same zeebo version with cool visuals called Double Dragon Resurrected. And then there is another fighting game called Rage of the Dragons, which is basically another Double Dragon game. Sure, it doesn't have exact same name, but if you dig in to the development, then to simply put it, devs had some license problems, and so because of that, they had to change the name. But the characters are the same mostly. And then, there is PC Engine/Turbo Grapx16 version of Double Dragon 2, which is a completely different game and with cool animated cutscenes. Also, Double Dragon protagonists showed up in few crossovers, like Nekketsu series.

While the Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun series has been a phenomenon in Japan since 1986, those cash-grabbing game franchisers have butchered Double Dragon in the USA. :'-(
En mi opinión double dragon 4 fue el mejor, aunque haya sido duramente criticado, por qué rescata todo lo bueno que tenía double dragon 1 y 2, el battletoads vels double dragon quedó en segundo lugar (nunca podré entender por qué no agregaron a las battletoads en double dragon 4) y el que está en último lugar son todas las versiones de double dragon 3, sinceramente fue una buena idea pero mal, muy mal implementada. Las versiones tipo "street fighter" de doble dragón junto a doubledranpn neón se quedan en el medio
