I've always loved this series. I'm actually replaying K and L 2 right now 😂 The cliffhanger ending still bothers me to this day. Great video and I enjoy all of your videos Ive seen so far. Keep up the good work dude!
Your in depth story line understanding really makes this video so enjoyable. With your present day raw feedback years later really makes me want to strap in for a throwback play through. Thank you for this incredible insight and time put into making an absolute masterpiece. Can’t wait to see what’s next! PS you didn’t have to dog lynch that bad I mean even air is important. Hahah much love brother! Till the next. ❄️
I’m really hoping we will see a 3rd game to get a complete trilogy someday….. like you said it’s recently become a cult classic and if they can bring back Alan wake after 13 years I have hope this could come back and stronger with todays innovation in shooters.
Man I use to play just the multiplayer demo of Kane and Lynch over and over. The multiplayer was some of the most fun I’ve had online period, the gameplay loop / concept of the multiplayer game mode was so much fun going on those heists and deciding wether to betray or stick with your team. Then potentially getting revenge spawning as a cop. Good mems. Anyhow well done video!
@@Vynsent to me it all fits, they even spare us by making the game this short, which IOI don't usually do. so that all fits well. Just like Silent Hill games don't need to have a shooter-like engaging combat.
💥💥So i didn't used to be into shooting games in the early 2000s. Is wasn't until for some reason i brought Red Faction 2 for my original Xbox in early 2004. I credit that game and another game called Project Snowblind for getting me into shooting games in general whether they're FPS or third person shooters. So i remember around 2009 i was 23 years old, i went to GameStop and bought this game called Army of Two the first one and we loved it. Me and my cousins used to play co-op. Then i bought Army or Two 40th Day we love that so after that game i was looking for another co-op shooter. I went to GameStop and stumbled on this game called kane and Lynch 2 I went home and played it a bit then played it with my cousins but for some reason we just wasn't feeling it that much and I ended up taking it back to GameStop.
I guess growing up with broken games from nes days it’s like you learn to make a game playable because you can’t afford to get a new game , this game was ambitious in what it was selling before release and tried to be cinematic experience but I felt it was a game you wanted to love
i only played 2 and it was mixed reaction because it was one of the first ' next gen ' games i played on one hand i was so impressed by the visuals the shaky camera the unstable almost realistic shootingand weight that the guns have and to your movement the approprite setting and lighting and atmosphere but it was still just a run and shoot in a linear path.. i wanted more from the ' next gen ' in terms of mechanical complexity i wanted for example in heist game to plan my heist scout the location prepare exit talk to npcs smuggle guns hide evidence ect ..but sadly what we got from the next gen was the same old games but they just look better and this game was the epitome of that just a visual experience covering a very basic game and it doesnt work because games are all about the gameplay and the player agency is what immerses you not fancy cutscenes and setpieces those makes it feel like a movie and give the impression that your input doesnt matter and you are just watching. but the problem is ''setpieces and cutscenes'' are the only solution for devs because to give play agency they need to create interconnected systems with many probabilities and possibilities and that is very expensive and hard to do with high resolution graphics .so graphics and gameplay together cannot be be implemented or mass produced in games in fact next gen games will be way simpler unless its like rockstar game that takes 10 years to make.this is also when i started to realize that from an innovative stand point games peaked in the ps2 era
I agree man! They definitely could’ve added so many different mechanics to this game to make it even better. But while it IS linear and very clunky, I can’t help but love it for its visual style and atmosphere 😅
A bit of constructive feedback, the sound effects are a bit loud, if almost unnecessary. It's hard to be immersed in your storytelling if there's harsh interrupting sound effects. Keep improving your craft man, and you'll do great things!
I absolutely agree, I actually felt they were too loud after I watched it again once I uploaded, I’ll be sure to lower the volume next time 😅 Thanks for watching!
the thing that struck me about kane and lynch is that it was like a fake movie poster; it looked super interesting, but it was never truly made. When I played both games there was potential there, but the overall experience was too shallow. The last act in the first game had me scratching my head. The story felt rushed, and felt like a silly action movie at the end instead of a gritty crime drama with mentally ill main characters, like I expected. There were so many references to deeper stuff that went nowhere. They should've invested more in the character interactions and created more interesting situations for them other than shooting their way through a horde of enemies, and they should've stayed in the city instead of... what they eventually did. If you know you know. PS: Thanks for mentioning that f*********king bloom bro. ack my eyes.
I thought this game had that Censorship blur on bodies - which third-person game am I thinking of ??? Edit: kept watching and it was the sequel...I forgot this game had got a sequel. I swear it was a one and done game 😅
Always regretted not playing this 2nd on PS3, something about it looked like a hidden gem.
It was definitely different, especially for it’s time. Luckily it’s still very much available on steam, usually for under a couple bucks too!

It’s a great game! I’ve had to replay it a few times myself 😅 And thank you! I really appreciate that man, very glad you’re enjoying the channel 😁

Haha I really appreciate you my brother ❤️
I have absolute love fot the second game! It's like Heat's shootout but for 3 hours non-stop.
You can definitely tell they took some influence from heat, I feel the same way brother!
I miss couch co-ops with my younger brother. This, Army of Two and Spec Ops in Modern Warfare 2 were our summers.
I feel that! Couch co-op was always such a good time, especially on a late summer night. At least we got to enjoy those experiences in their prime!
I find myself replaying Kane and Lynch 2 every few years. Although the game itself is mediocre, the setting and and aesthetic are just so damn cool.
It really has a special vibe to it, I enjoyed my recent play through ☺️
I’m really hoping we will see a 3rd game to get a complete trilogy someday….. like you said it’s recently become a cult classic and if they can bring back Alan wake after 13 years I have hope this could come back and stronger with todays innovation in shooters.
I agree! They really were into something with this series, it just needed a little more love 😅

That demo really was great, they were definitely on to something with these games, just wish the mechanics were better!
I loved both of these games, fun online too!
Loved the online modes!
I even had the same GameInformer magazine all those years back and I've never known it was ioi. Hitman is one of my all time faves
They definitely know their away around a good crime game 🙌 The Hitman series has so much replay value, even the old ones are still a blast 😄
Back in the day it was simple, I saw Eidos on the box, I buy it.
They didn’t miss!
Insane vid my dude. Keep it up. Much love
Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoyed, and much love.
2:30 this sounds a lot like Michael and Trevor’s relationship 🤣
You ain’t lying 😂
Still love Kane & Lynch 2.
It's an aesthetic game, and curious venture into the digital abyss.
It really is a dope game! Just wish they could have polished the gameplay a bit more, they nailed the visual style tho!

Absolutely, I agree! It’s definitely a niche game, but for the audience that it caters to, it’s easy to look past the flaws at times 😅

Good retrospective, really underrated duology.
I believe Kane's daughter's name is Jenny though? Not Penny.
I'm very glad you enjoyed! And I totally got the name wrong, I'm embarrassed to admit 🤣
Great video and editing man. Happy to have already been sub’d. Love the resident evil 5 sound effects (might be 4).
Glad to have you on the channel, also glad you enjoyed ❤️ It’s much appreciated!
I remember being really excited for this too.
It's like a bad movie, you can't help but enjoy lol.

Where boys became men 😂

Lol! They definitely surprised everyone when that sequel was announced 😂
