I appreciate your green thumb and info in the video. You are fortunate to have room in your garden for growing vegies. Must be nice!

Last year i grew the burpee brand stringless green beans. When they were all done i had 1 1/2 gallon size bags full. And i planted 14 green bean plants. Love the video, very helpful

I appreciate it. I literally have never grown anything in my life until this season. Now im over 30 green bean plants, 10 tomato plants, 15 okra plants, 8 watermelon plants, and hand fulls of peppers, eggplant and herbs strong! With your video as a reference i picked over 6 cups of beans today alone and left ones i would have picked on the vine for the next day or two that i would have picked.
Also, the idea to cook them in olive oil turned out awesome. Considering i only eat government food:)

i get about 3.5 to for hours of sunlight on my balcony in south florida, thats it. what i noticed grows well are blue lake beans (green), burpee gold rush bean (yellow), banana peppers, jalapenos, and bell peppers, i also have a healthy sunshine blue blueberry plant (not too many berries yet), i have not tried things like lettuce yet.

Beautiful. I'm going to look for the yellow ones next year. We planted 3 vines and it's almost too much. Salads, cooked plain, added to casseroles; we like them all but I think a few are going to get frozen for later. Here in California, we decided to plant more for later in the year. Thanks - I'd have loved to see the purple ones after they cooked. So pretty.

Those are beautiful beans, love. Are they easy to grow? I'm interested in starting a small garden, but I'm quite new at it. I'd like to start with easy veg and herbs like those, if possible.

meaning no more sunlight in your plant area.... its ok, 3.5 hours of sunlight is ok.... keep on, provided they grow well.

Could you pick other bean varieties early for a similar style like green beans? Compared to eating the seeds alone like usual with black beans, kidney, etc

Great video. Do you allow some beans to develop for seeds for next year or do you buy seeds?. I would suggest the former as it allows the plants to adapt to the local environment, what do you think?.

When I was 13 years old (I'm now 38) I work for a guy that had a ton of land he needed help with. One of my jobs was to pick his green beans and he told me not to pull off the "pig tail" part of the bean because "That's were all the flavor is." Is there any truth to that? I know he grew up in the depression area so that may have been a old school train of thought. Still it would be fun to know.

Purple Beans :0 now you've re kindled my desire to plant beans. Our season is a bit different to yours. Do you keep your own seeds and re-plant.

idont get this: when i was a kid, i always ate raw green beans. now im 24 and my friend who's a cook tells me green beans are poisonous when raw, and they learn that at cook apprenticeship. i didnt eat any raw green beans for years ofcourse, and i dont really dare eating them raw( i ate ONE 5 minutes ago cause i love their raw taste). so you eat them raw aswell. but mainstream knowledge teaches theyre toxic.. however i didnt die when i ate them and you eat em raw. would u eat alot of em? help^^
