      @@AvanteAvenue I remembered that you said he was a retired teacher. Mine as well. 7th grade Science. Been a year and we are getting used to it. He does miss most parts of it too.

    Thank you so much, I took a photo yesterday of a black lacquer carved wood baby elephant and it looks horrible, I want to capture the joyful look of this sweet carving as he is playing with a ball and his trunk is in the air and his ears are wide open and flapping, he is so sweet but oh my picture is horrible. Going to try all Marks techniques! So grateful!!!

    Vickie, you read my mind again! Thanks to Mark for explaining his process, it was very helpful! I have difficulty getting colors to match what I see (aka What you see is what you get), so I will give ProCamera a try! I use List Perfectly to cross post and use Photoroom that's provided with the subscription. It's great!! Please keep your great videos coming! You two are the best!!

      Our photos wouldn't look a fraction of what they do without using the PhotoRoom app to process them (remove background and replace with white or black). Love that app! Thanks Maggie!

    Definitely some good tips. I like using the darker backgrounds, too, for the most part. White just gets me mad…lol!

      The lighting set up is fantastic. I am probably going to get rid of my light box and try this approach. I always struggle with clear glass, so this has cleared up several mysteries. Thanks, Mark and Vickie!

    I have used the white and black posterboard backgrounds in the past. I also use foam boards. I have some that give you like an industrial metal plate kind of aesthetic. I also have some with a nice wood pattern.

      In the procamera app, look for the 9 dots. Open that up for more features. Aspect ratio 1:1 for square. Hope that helps. Thanks Mary!
