    I love the look of the stock exhaust and the fact that it's so quiet means you can go sneaky fast without attracting the attention of every cop around. Not sure why 190 rear wheel ponies and 186 mph isn't enough, but to each their own 👍🏻

      I hate the appearance of the huge stock exhaust on mine but it remains because I love how quite it is. It may be a safety issue though as my friends on bikes and in cars say they can't hear me until I'm already passed. When I first bought it, the power seemed insane. Now that I'm accustomed, it could use more power.

The ZX14R with the bar risers is still painful after 45 minutes riding. As for the video….. looks like the ZX14R needs 1 hp per mile per hour. Stock 186HP top speed 186 MPH. 200HP 200 mph top speed. Interesting at the very least. Just catching up on your videos since it’s winter and dreaming about summer lol.

    I have a feeling these bikes run rich naturally at their top end because of how much air they can intake. There's no way to simulate it in a dyno room. But at 160mph that massive intake is gonna eat alot more air than you'll ever feed it.
    I dynoed at 194 wheel HP with the single sided full Yoshimura R77 exhaust after ecu flash and tune.

    • @nickcook7408
      @nickcook7408 2 года назад +3

      Most bike have 02 sensors which can adjust fuelling in closed loop to maintain whatever AFR has been programmed into the ECU.
      100% throttle will generally run open loop not closed loop, and again will only adhere to its open loop fuel and spark tables.
      To say that it runs rich because it gets so much air only shows that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

    • @nameless4031
      @nameless4031 9 месяцев назад +3

      You misunderstood what he said about running rich. He was theorizing that the bike runs rich in the upper gears on the dyno In anticipation of the extra air that would be rammed into the motor at high speeds. On the road, the bike would be less rich than it would be on a dyno where the ram air system has no impact.

    I love my Suzuki's and I'm all about Zuke Nation, but it's pretty sad that a ZX14r, that hasn't changed in ten years, is making more power in stock form that a Gen 3 Busa is with exhaust, filter and velocity stacks!!

      no replacement for 1441 .. that is why Gen3 is lacking

    Kawasaki really needs to update this motorcycle.
    Here some suggestions:
    The front design is fine as is I think (perhaps some modification to loose weight, LED lights, mirror revise)
    The rear/tail needs some work for sure (slim down the tail, make it more pointy, loose weight, gain some trunk space perhaps?)
    The factory exhaust is heavy/hideous (what if they used 2 zx10r exhausts instead?)
    Dash re-design needed (perhaps the H2 SX SE dash would be best suited)
    Add quick shifter, cruise control, 6-axis imu, launch control
    Add Electronically Controlled Suspension (unless the price will be inflated too much, cause you want it to sell as well)

    Probably less than 10bhp to be gained with the full system, and off course a reasonable weight reduction.

    Does a slip on or full exhaust with your flash cause a lot more heat over stock? My gen 1 ecu flash full brocks created a furnace to ride. Goals are to be able to take very long road trips.. any suggestions?

    This is so sad
    I had a 2014 zx14r and literally out of the crate with the exception of yoshimura slip ons it got 204 HP
    Rear wheel
    For some stupid reason I sold it. Now I've got money down on a 2022 zx14r
    The bike is so addicting.
    So I have to do all this stuff, ECU flash full exhaust system and air filter just to get to where the base used to be.
    That's definitely a 2022. Hopefully the 50 state model
    Because if it's not I need to make up even more power.
    With the 2016 model adding some kind of European emissions and the 50 state model it basically lost 20 f***ing HP

    • @larryhouse3776
      @larryhouse3776 2 года назад +1

      If you got a 2014 to read 204 wheel horsepower stock, the dyno was wrong I promise you.
      A stock H2 reads right around 200Hp stock at the wheel and 228hp off the crank. A 2014 ZX14r is right around 208Hp crank and that's right from kawasaki. And a 10% loss to the rear wheel is pretty standard.
