    We love this hilt! Super accurate and unique, quite befitting of Count Dooku’s idealistic/individualistic character.
    We also love CCSabers! They offer 89Sabers at the best price, they ship super fast, and their customer service is top notch; communication with Carl is fabulous!
    Wonderful review, Jon! The family and I enjoyed it enormously.

    Just purchased this saber (my first saber) out of my love for the late Christopher Lee and of course the always classy Count Dooku. This thing is unbelievable in design and feel. Came here to get more info on the button mechanics etc., and to that I say excellent video, super helpful! Recommend this lightsaber to anyone who loves the prequels, the Count, and a fighting style of a more civilized age.

    Such an elegant, grand but unique lightsabre design. Count Dooku, aka Darth Tyrannus, based his new personalised weapon design after the curved hilts [that] were standard during the peak of Form II lightsabre combat. The curve allowed the hilt to fit better into his hand, allowing for superior finesse and precise blade control.
    Once a Jedi Knight-trained by his erstwhile Master, Yoda-Dooku became disillusioned with the Jedi Order. Dooku is a political idealist, defiant and eloquent, but desired order; Dooku went on to join the Dark Side, align himself with Palpatine, and created a lightsabre tailor-made to suit his technique, as he favoured long, elegant moves and deftness of hand.
    Apologies for the long, verbose comment, mate. Dooku is one of my favourite Star Wars characters! Great review, Mister Santos! CCSABERS is an excellent company! And communication with Mister Carl is great, too! One of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in this esoteric (and expensive) hobby!
    Cheers, mate!
    Take care,
    Giovanni Marino, M.D.🇬🇧🇮🇹

    Very nice. Also glad to see they are continuing to use the newer proffie v3.9 in their line up.
    I've stated before, that I purchased the Korbanth version (The Duke v3) of this hilt and had some problems with how it was built. The chassis connector was missing a set screw so the pin plate almost fell out of the hilt when I removed the proffie chassis. I had spare set screws, so that wasn't a major issue, just annoying. Also, the pommel is dense metal, so it's bottom heavy and I think actually weighs more than yours. Also, mine is 2 button, but the copper buttons at the bottom are the power & aux.
    So right now, I'm not looking to get another Dooku hilt. But, looking on the 89sabers site, they DO have a Yoda hilt with proffie v3.9 and with the May 4th sale, it's VERY Tempting to get.

      Bah. It was just too tempting. So I ordered that Yoda hilt with proffie v3.9. Can't wait to get it because it'll be the first neo-pixel Yoda hilt I own.

    Last two 89 saber I got from CC they sent me blades that were too big and didn’t fit. They also would not replace them because the didn’t believe I know how to use retention screws….. it’s unfortunate

      I have said many times in my 89 videos that I have had to sand blades down. It’s an 89 thing…. Happens all the time with 1 inch blades. It’s annoying but it just seems to be that way.

    Awesome video and saber. Do you know if there's ever any issues with the rubber breaking down over time?

    • @TheCollectorsOutpost
      @TheCollectorsOutpost  7 месяцев назад +1

      No idea but I’m sure like any material overtime if you used a lot, it would wear down. But if it’s mostly on display I’m sure it would last a long time.

    • @maciccarelli
      @maciccarelli 7 месяцев назад

      @@TheCollectorsOutpost makes sense! I’m curious if they’ve come up with better methods for the rubber because my original 2007 master replica Luke had a rubber material on the grips that broke down and became sticky over time.

    I think it looks pretty good. It is weird that they have the buttons so far away, though. That would definitely keep me from getting that version of it.

    • @TheCollectorsOutpost

      The Xeno is the same, the button is at the bottom as well. Really should just be programmed as a single button. But if you can code proffie I think you can do that.

    I got the same saber. You got to twist it along the axis of the proffie board (pommel). Quite awkward 😂 but otherwise, very accurate looking. Except, again, the pommel.

    • @TheCollectorsOutpost
      @TheCollectorsOutpost  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I tried everything. I think the twist off may be turned off on this one. I had the same problems with the old xeno. Trying to twist on or off was impossible so I just turned the feature off anyway. Stupid curved hilts hahaha

      @@TheCollectorsOutpost I changed a few lines of programing on my Golden Harvest board Count mk4 from Saber Forge & changed the Axis of the Tilt for the Gesture Commands. Now the Gesture commands work the same Axis as any of my other Neo-Pixel boards.
      I imagine you could probably do something like that with a Proffie, but it would be a lot harder... Maybe possibly Google it or Download a file?

    Such a really nice looking lightsaber! I love Dooku's hilt, and I've been wanting to get one for a while now. I'm not sure how I feel about the light up switch and the buttons being so far apart from each other. But other than that, it's definitely the better looking of the two!

    I just purchased this hilt and man is it beautiful but the battery is not a standard size 18650. it is 2mm shorter then standard and I am having trouble finding the right size for the chassis. Did you experience any issues with batteries by chance?

    I’d like dookus saber if he ever used it like he should. Curved handled swords are used in epee fencing…lots of thrusts and lunges which the curve give strategic advantages to. Yet dooku never uses like this. So it makes him look like he doesn’t know why he curved his hilt…just that he knew someone at some point was great and had a curved hilt.

    That's awesome lightsaber Jon count dooku's lightsaber is cool and unique but I like the jedi version better and I got some short videos on my RUclips channel not as impressive as yours but some people like my short videos anyway awesome as always and I love your dogs very cute and funny🐉

  • @Necroscat
    @Necroscat 7 месяцев назад

    Looks pretty accurate but that clear trigger just doesn't do it for me, & the rubber grip doesn't seem 'fine' enough, & it's still a bit too big for Dooku's saber (it was SUPER small), & the angle at the bottom of the pommel is still too wide. I'd say it's the second most accurate compared to the Count mk4 from Saber Forge.
    Probably just being way too critical. Probably the hardest lightsaber to make a replica of, Saberforge didn't get it ner-perfect until they made the Mk3. Mk4 is just them upgrading the blade locking system
