I think the web novel turned out much better than the series. I don't consider the re:zero series to be one of the best, but yes, I think it's a web novel. I am now beginning the seventh arc of the web novel. And I consider re:zero world one of my favorites, along with "one piece".
Anime Japan 2024 is actually starting really soon and Re:Zero is a part of the programme, so keep an eye out, we'll probably get some news about season 3 very soon since Anime Japan last year was when season 3 was announced in the first place.

It played a few times throughout season 2 but it most notably played during season 2 episode 13 at minute 4:50 and there was another time when it played when Subaru and beatrice were talking but I don’t remember what episode it was.
