Weird, as both a keyboard player and guitar player I always thought both instruments were plenty versatile and used in every musical genre ever.

@garrettellis6439 They each have their pros and cons. Pianos have note range as you mentioned, more advanced polyphony, and somewhat better ergonomics (though I still got tendonitis from overplaying); while guitars have faster repetition (strumming), pitch bend and vibrato, and portability. I love being a pianist but I would 100% learn guitar were it not for my injury.
Man I wanna roll for this character though.

So Caesar befriended Lucy at her lowest point in the Outer Ring and Lucy taught Caesar how to play the piano. That thought just tugs at my heartstrings. I can't wait to learn more about the both of them!

@@Thy_Guardianeven if you dont listen to music, if you consume any type of media like yt videos, games, movies, etc, they always have some types of background music to establish a vibe. It would be a little underwhelming when youre fighting the final boss of a game and with no boss music. It’s why hoyoverse(and every other companies) put so much effort into their bgm.

Those in the Outer Ring don't have much, but what they do have is each other. This makes the struggles worth it, and at the end of the day, that can be all you need to get by.

What makes this extra wholesome is knowing that learning the piano must've been much harder for Caesar who's left hand is prosthetic, showing how patient and considerate Lucy is despite her "rich city girl" background
I just love that the couple of animations and cameos alone already told us what to expect from them and we already know about all of them just from the small interactions they've had. So excited to get to know them better tomorrow

Her piano skills were really good, Caesar's childhood became the most memorable part of her life

Man, they got me with the flashback 🥹
When she was young, Caesar sees a piano as a piece of junk while her dad tells her it's junk that was reclaimed by humanity from the Hollows and that it is a land that belongs to hope in a place of nothing. She did not understand for a time until the day she met Lucy, a girl from New Eridu who left for the Outer Rings in search of something she could not get in the city. Caesar offered to take her back at first until she started playing the piano which stunned Caesar. Caesar began interacting with Lucy who thinks the Outer Rings isn't too bad of a place as it still has music that can be played and a melody that can be formed. Caesar began learning to play the piano from Lucy and slowly understood what her father meant about a land of hope in a place of nothing.

My mom saw a piano on the corner a few months ago. Super heavy and no one had been able to arrange movers to take it since everything was booked during the summer. My wife and I levered/jacked it onto a dolly, ratcheted on some tie-downs, and pushed it across town that night to our home. Took 4 hours and a ton of effort with a janky setup, but now we have a very nice upright piano to play again. Both of us used to play when we were kids, and having one to ourselves now is pretty special. Nice vibes from this video, keep on cooking ZZZ :)
So that's how Lucy joined a biker gang. Also, I'm kinda loving the cultured badass idea they're going with for Caesar

As someone who just started learning Piano as an adult, not that long ago because I felt like there was a hole in my life that needed filling with something positive, this trailer hit me harder than I expected it too. Didn't see something like this coming for Caesar and crew but it was really nice.

I love the juxtaposition of the Leader of the Sons of Calydon, lives in the Outer Ring (often depicted as a harsh place) and has an extremely cool bike, playing the piano, an elegant hard to learn instrument that brings about the most wonderful melodies in the right hands.
This was DEFINITELY not in my Caesar Salad bingo card, but this was a welcome one.

It’s a very beautiful and heartfelt trailer for the character. I like how the tough times are symbolised by Lucy’s angry reply, and she teaches Caesar to play the piano. When it’s time for Caesar to teach someone else, she says that it’s easy to learn, which also symbolises that times are easier and humanity is coming back from the brink.

As someone who pulled Lucy last week I am so happy to see this. Their frienship is so adorable, Caesar immediatly became charmed by the piano and wanted lessons and she is now also good with the piano. Also child Caesar is adorable.

Caesar being into classical music and having a fairly deep bonding moment with little Lucy was not what I expected tonight. I love the loud & boisterous teasing big sis vibe she has, but it’s nice of the writing team to give her a more sedate side to showcase.
