i usually bypass a sine oscillator straight to the EQ, so i can get the tradtionional saw reese hipassed, without as much phasing issues from the low end, but this would work well too.
+Alex Grant I thought it was pretty simple. Two oscillators (formant/triangle) slightly detuned in the opposite direction and highpassed. Then layered with solid sine sub underneath. Then you can go crazy with the other massive effects.
This many years later, and this is still one of the better videos on that low Reese bass. Better than most guys using modern synths like serum too.
Wow.
Where has the time gone
Crazy isn't it 😅 and this bass still sounds clean
Thank you for the generous showing.
where does sub focus live? i'm sure that's the third set of sirens i've heard.

Thank you for posting these older tutorials! :D Any chance you could upload the icicle ones too? :)
Is there a preset for this? This is such a clean reese. No matter what I do in massive per this video, I just can't get it the same.
same problem. you ever found it?
renoiss has all sorts of presets for reese bass
Is it just me, or it looks like camera is recording a camera?
Cheers
Can anyone post a better tutorial for making a reese bass like this?

Computer Music could repost these videos again with better quality..
The original "master" recordings are long gone, unfortunately, so that won't be possible.
