We went to Auckland city to see Kapa Haka performance at Aotea Centre on Saturday. This event was the part of Matariki Festiva 2019, which celebrates the Māori new year from 22 June to 14 July 2019.

"Celebrate the dynamic art form of kapa haka. Enjoy exhilarating live performances from local group and current Te Matatini champions Ngā Tūmanako, reigning National Secondary Schools title-holder Raukura from Rotorua, and a host of other powerful kapa haka from around the country.
This year Te Taumata Kapa Haka features the prowess of seasoned professionals and school groups on the same stage, for one day only. Don’t miss the power of kapa haka as a force to bring people of all backgrounds together."

Pretty Good effort with the pronunciation of Maori (Mau-dee = Native people of NZ), Whanau (Far-No = Extended Family). This was performed at Western Springs in Auckland New Zealand on 22 Feb 2020 (At the beginning of Covid) along with the featuring Nga Tumanako Kapa Haka (Maori performing arts) Group.

If you want to explore more of the Maori cultural arts. Maori have annual Kapa Haka competitions between schools, tribes and regions. Checkout the performance by Raukura at Matariki Festival 2019.
