    When I heard Stanley Clarke for the first time, I was blown away not only by his otherworldly technique and fretboard mastery but also by a tone that I had never heard before!!! Stanley Clarke revolutionized bass playing and Alembic revolutionized the electric bass!!! Outstanding demo!!!

    I’m skeptical about many boutique basses but these are the real deal. Pure tone machines.

    Alembic basses are special. I played a Rogue 5, back in 2000 and I loved it. Couldn't afford it, so I never got one. :(

      I always wanted an Alembic, but trivial concerns like having money to buy food, pay utility bills, etc., always got in my way.

    @JWC please keep the video's coming. As a old school bass player I go way back with Alembic's. As a recording studio owner I have over 50 basses and my Alembic Epic is one of my favorite out of them. Been meaning to get a Stanley Clarke Signature but a you know they are not cheap.

    OHHhh Yeah !!!! I've been nothing but my Alembic lately and it's Alembic or nothing lately, The best tone, ever and easiest bass to play if you get one that fits your hand. Every Alembic is different since they are all handmade. Keep em coming !!! Even though I can hear mine, there's nothing like hearing someone else play one.

    I've owned two of the 12-35mm. Not par-focal. Highly recommended. Also like the 14mm. Found the 25mm f/1.7 to be muddy and dull.

    Sounds absolutely amazing. Just out of interest, is that particular bass standard 34" scale?

    ...erstaunlich, dass Dein Alembic trotz der Slinkys so "fett" klingt... ich glaub, ich brauche doch einen Alembic Signature - auch, wenn ich die Optik nach wie vor gewöhnungsbedürftig finde. Ich hoffe, Du bringst mehr Videos mit dem super Sound 😍👍 ...und falls Du den Bass mal nicht mehr brauchst, müssen wir reden 😶‍🌫😎

    • @jwcbronski
      @jwcbronski  Год назад +1

      Ich würde sagen einige Einstellungen klingen "fett". Wenn man mit dem Filter die Mitten boosted und den Stegpickup favorisiert kann der Bass auch eher dünn klingen. Wenn man mit Band spielt merkt man dann daß das Fundament fehlt.

      Okay, so you like 'just low end'. That's your preference. However, this bass, as you know, sounds just the way it should. Without turning all the treble down and the bass up.

    Sounds like a $500 bass

    • @eweise
      @eweise 8 месяцев назад

      Well you're not far off. I bought my Alembic brand new for $1,100. Now they want 10 times that. A $500 fender will give you more of a tone you are used to hearing so many people don't understand why someone would pay so much for this bass. But because Alembic makes all their electronics, they have a unique tone that many people like. The workmanship is really great though. I've had mine for 25 years and it plays perfectly. If you look the fact that the bass will essentially outlast you, maybe its not crazy spending so much for it.
