It's a great idea to let passengers board under cover Mike, that bus was certainly a more basic design than the previous one you rode on...another excellent video of the event...great stuff...Bob
@ADMIRALSCORNER yes It was in Huddersfield Corporation colours which are red and cream, Whoops was a Christmas Special of 'Summer Wine where the three old fogeys (Foggy, Compo & Clegg!) tried to jump off the platform of a moving bus with hilarious results!!!!
@PhilbruProduction Interesting! Imperial for double decker! That sounds good! They do look impressive. Today in our area of the country, single deckers are mostly seen.

Beautiful "bus à imperial" (2 floors) as we say in French. Cordially. Philippe
@ADMIRALSCORNER I think it's a reminder of days when life was simpler and more enjoyable Mike....something to do with Rose Tinted Glasses...:o)..Bob
CCX777 starred in the episode of "Last of the Summer wine" called Whoops!
@robmasterman The organisation of the whole event was excellent! Variety is the spice of life! Yes, i wonder why we keep finding that older is better!
@johnboytd That's interesting!. I missed that episode. Was it also red back then?
All these buses were owned by Steve Morris whom I have met
I find it very sad that the mighty seems to have fallen. It was great to have had such a fine collection housed right by the WSR station.

@johnboytd We must keep an eye open for it. Some reruns of the series are appearing now on TV.
