Very unlikely. Alkan's music wasn't widely known at the time, because Alkan himself never bothered to perform his major works in concert even when he made a return to the stage later in life and most of it was published only after this sonata had been written, which was in 1871. It sounds a lot more like the influence of Scharwenka's teacher Theodor Kullak.
