There are 2 lines at the OG cafe du monde. That line you saw was for table service. If you cut through that line you'll see the take out line on the other side of the building and it'll be shorter and faster

I'm always happy to see others enjoy what our city has to offer. On the next visit, come when the locals restaurants have annual festival. Different Nola signature dishes with a unique twist and the prices fair for the 5star dishes. Next festival should start in the beginning of fall season but u can check see the dates. Thank u for sharing this experience

JL, I've been watching you for years, and when I first saw you, you were by yourself and in a very used car, which I respect. You upped your game, and you have your wife in the videos which I think is awesome, and it makes your videos even better. My question to you, did your wife finally see how much fun you had doing it and decide, "Hey, I wanna try this out!".. If that's how it played out, I am happy. You are one of the greatest youtube food people in my opinion. Top 5 at LEAST!
Niijiikenzii (bro in Ojibwe language), you need to try Native American food. Go to Denver, CO n try Tocabe. Then head to Sioux Falls, SD n try Watecha. After that, head to Twin Cities, MN n try Owamni Restaurant. 😁
I trust wife's feedback on the last beignets at the airport. She seems to like the others much better. The closest that is for me to relate to is the Italian friend donuts I used to get in NYC when there's the Italian food fair in lower Manhattan. The good old days!

IMO, Loretta’s is really good. Next time you should go to the original location or try Stuph’D Beignets and Burgers😀😀..

Y’all did right, Cafe Du Monde is all hype. My wife likes Morning Call better. The coffee im not a fan of. I’m from NJ, and we moved there in 2022 up the road in the Bywater Marigny area. We ate like crazy the first few months

Cafe Du Monde the long line is for the people sitting down.. You have to go to the other side (parallel) away from the street,for the takeout line.. shorter.. faster
I love Loretta’s. Next time take the trolley you can get a day pass and ride it around. It’s good for sightseeing.

We did not try Loretta's but loved Cafe Du Monde and went earlier to the lines weren't bad. Believe it or not the ones is Disney are really good too. I'll take Beignets from anywhere. They are just too delicious.

Man just ran across your channel and watched all your New Orleans content. Thanks for giving our city a big ups like that cause I say our food is some of the greatest!!! I don't live there any more but no other food can compare anywhere in the US. Food other places is good but not NOLA!!!
WOW. Those are the biggest beignets I've seen yet, whenever I would go to Canada, the beignets were roughly the size of donut holes

If anybody wants to try cafe du monde and don’t want to wait in that big line in the French Market, go to the one that’s near the art museum. Went there and there were plenty of people eating there, but basically no line! Definitely going to have to try Loretta’s whenever I go back 🫡

When I was at Cafe Du Monde, the guy asked me if I wanted beignet.... I said, "no thanx, I don't have any sore muscles" ... he looked at me with a blank stare but the girl with him said "I get it... Ben Gay...hahahaha, that's funny!!" The guy was not humored. I shut up and got in line and got my beignets.
Next time you go to new Orleans Cafe du monde have a second line away from the street side
