The way 30 lbs feels and sounds like running by and kicking up dirt and leaves....makes these 1/5 scale vehicles fun. Something that gets lost in a 1/10 scale
panzer Ken I also only jump it 2-3 feet. Ive seen videos of others jumping it 10+ feet in vertical height but I don’t want to risk the chassis bending, even though I upgraded to aluminum chassis braces. I have smaller lighter rc’s for the high jumps, but just dont take them out much. The DB Pro is a sweet rig too!
@yenny527 So true👍👍 I've actually sold off a few of my 10th scales because of this reason. I still love the smaller RC's for everyday bashing but it can't be matched with the larger RC's.
Any HPi Baja, Rovan, 8s kraton to give a true 1/5 truggy or buggy size comparison? Large scale monster trucks like the x-maxx are always going to have a shorter wheel base than a large scale buggy or truggy.
@FullthrottleRC I wish I had those to be able to do a size comparison. The issue of space in the studio would be an issue to present. Plus I try to show something that is more common to most people who have seen a large RC. The XMaxx has to be the most popular of them all and most people either own one, seen their buddies or seen it in the hobby shop.
@David Molyneux These two vehicles are so different. All depends on how you plan to use them. More finesse driving I would go with the DBXL-e 2.0. All out stupid bashing the XMaxx all day.
Which would you pick the 8s Outcast or the Losi DBXLE 2.0 and why? I'm trying to figure Which one to get and I was wondering if the Losi was worth the extra 200 dollars and what is the quality difference. Thank you.
Man that's a BIG Buggy 😱!!!! Great job with the unboxing, overview, and comparison 👍. Losi makes wonderful rigs. Can't wait to see you Rip this Big Girl 😱!!!! 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊
@Rich Duperbash Thanks brother👍👍 Before owning this I always thought this was an undersized 5th scale but I was so wrong. This beast is all 5th scale. Debating getting it out today but it's 22 degrees out there🤣😂
@Island RC -Duke Thanks for watching! This was always on my list, going back as far as the gas one but never pulled the trigger. Glad to finally be able to buy one.
That Desert Buggy is Sick I love it,🥰 it's a Friggin Beast, I would have this over the Arrma Kraton 8s 😱 I want one 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 thanks for sharing this amazing video with us all 👍😁👍
@@ReadySetRC I think 1 its different and 2 it's one Bad ass Rc, I Love Arrma but I would rather buy a Arrma that is Completely different, they just brought out a oversized Kraton that's it🤔 this Desert Buggy Looks Amazing, carnt wait to see the running video 👍😁👍
@Chris Cottell Thanks for watching! You talking size wise? I can throw something up on the community tab and IG. I'll have it up before the end of the week.
Great video mate, I do have the 1st gen of this buggy but there are so many differences and upgrades I might just sell mine and upgrade to this one. 👊👊👍👍
@Kev DeeZ RC I remember your gen 1 brother, sweet buggy👌 I was reading through all the upgrades, that maybe the best bet. Question is, if all the upgrades can even fit on the gen 1🤔
Wow great video. This is 5th scale buggy electric perfection. Now I need to make up my mind to make this buggy or the gas version my first 5th scale. I'm dying to take this to one of my local parks and are thinking the electric would be less noisy to get away with. Also I have heard the gas version has given alot of people problems. Jon Cardiasmenos from Martinez, Ca-
For the average person, electric is better because you need to carry less with you to your favorite running place and less maintenance. With a gasser, you need fuel (expensive), tools, batteries (for the electronics). Then if for any reason the engine gives you trouble like hard to start, it shuts off 100 yrds from you (you'll be walking), and any other engine related problems. Now the electric on the other hand you'll need batteries, charger and some tools, that's it. While the possibility exist you'll have problems with the electric motor, it is far, far less likely to happen and cheaper in the long run. That's my take on electric vs gas.
@imserious2187 Tell her both, that's what I tell my wife🤣😂 But seriously you can't go wrong with either. Wheelies all day = XMaxx, ripping around and blasting through turns = DBXLE 2.0. And both jump well, maybe slight edge to DBXLe 2.0 since it comes off the ramp with ease.
@@aerorudd it’s true that you can find parts everywhere for Traxxas vehicle but the DBXL is so easy to work on it’s not even in the same league as the X-maxx. In two hour I had all 3 diff serviced the rebuilt with fresh bearing. The xmaxx with it’s chassis design need much more disassembly to do the same job. Both vehicles are excellent tough and anyway who chose any of the two will have a lot of fun. My dbxl with big lipo is just a bullet tough. I can’t believe the power it put down!
@marcosmtb7983 Are you asking if you could convert the gas version to electric. If so, yes. There are some after market kits that should be able to allow you to do it. I never did the conversation, so I don't know which is best or which one to buy.
@Sza Esz Funny you mention the Max5. I ordered one a few days back, waiting for it to come in next week but I got some plans for it just not for this kit yet🤔
@@ReadySetRC The rebranded max6 is not for this heavy rig. Goes "eh" in the Sbr and the Srr - the original max6 actually is much better, guess has different firmware then the rebranded one -. Now that it is cold it will be ok, but in mild spring temps you'll need to remove the driver - plate to let more airflow in, and a strong double motorred fan is recommended. I like my Dbxl-e v1, but the Sbr/Srr - own both - are better. Without the Max5 it is "meh", but with it it will really liven up. Have fun with the tuning! Cheers
@CommanderAstig 🚀 CA🔸RC You know. My home is 8th scale but these 5th scales got all the attraction. As of now I'm passing on the Kraton. Took me to the v3 to get the 6S😂 Saw your pickup. Can't wait until the video!

Love this bad boy !!! You should make a new bashing vid with it 👍👍
@whatsintheboxx I was thinking the same thing😊
Finally!A hinge system for the body that i thought up of 15 years ago!Mudguards also required for enclosed wheels
@Rawdyrider 😂A head of the time.
Awesome video my brotha that thing is a monster good Lord super nice happy bashing my friend.
@12R1 Thanks bro👍👍 This Fox livery is killer. I'm going to try and get this out if temps ever get past the 30's😂🤣
Losi did a great job with that Buggy!
@TheWorldWeLiveIn77 BGuy Totally agree they killed it with this body👍👍

But at least s.b.r 499 still available
Paul Clancy, got one one of the S.B.R. Video coming soon.
I assume you have to drill a hole in the body to install the body clips? do you recall what size drill bit you used? thanks!
@DonnyFrusciante III You will need to make holes to install the tethered clips but I used a body reamer, no drill.
That thing is a beast!
