Quantum Q6 Edge Drive motor install

Good Day everyone,
I've put together a step by step instructional video on how to remove and install a drive motor for a Quantum Q6 Edge model power wheelchair. I am by no means a certified Quantum technician, just me in my garage walking you through what to do. I will advise you to do this job at your own risk. I am in no way responsible for anything resulting in injury do to this video content. This is meant to help a competent person, as yourself, do the job.

First thank you for posting your video. I'm glad to see how to replace the motor. If you're still doing this repair can I ask a question? I used to be a mechanical technician and would take care of things like this. Could you easily take off the mounting plate with the motor and gearbox assembly first? It looks like there are only three maybe four places where you'd have to disconnect. You would then easily be able to access all the rest of the motor while sitting at your workbench. Just so you know I'm in one of these chairs and need my motor replaced. I just want to make it as easy as possible for my brother to do the job.

It's been a while since I've done this job, but I think you're right. I'm pretty sure you can take it all out, then bring it to the bench to work on it. It would definitely be easier.
