If JJ would of stayed the season after this Wisconsin would of won the title. The roster had so much talent it just needed one more guy on the defensive line to get a spark in needed areas.
But did they have the speed to keep up with LSU? We all know that LSU's offense was not that good but that defense was murderous. It was the second best defense I've ever seen behind only Alabama's from the same year. Wisconsin's offense had never seen anything close to that LSU defense.
+Dylan Patti Well our receivers were very good route runners, the offensive line has an average of 6'5 315, and we all know how magical Montee ball and Russell Wilson could be. I think if our defense could keep LSU offense to 15 points we'd be fine. It would of been one hell of a game if that scenario played out though.
How can you say not having 1 player costs you a title? That's stupid. Especially a defensive end. Wisconsin won in 2010 fair and square, OSU won in 2011 fair and square. 1 player didn't change the outcome and CERTAINLY didn't cost Wisconsin a national title shot. If Wisconsin had played Alabama or LSU that season it would have been ugly.

The kickoff return was nice, but that first drive by Wisconsin was the key. They crammed it right down the Buckeyes throats and set the tone for the whole game.

Great college town, sea of red, great fans and traditions, similar uniforms. we don't have jump around but we do the wave, release about 80,000 balloons when we first score, and a few other things. a little hoky yes, but still a fun time. Should be an epic year for the Big Ten! Go Big Red!
After the game walking down Regent St., not the sidewalk but the street with thousands of fans after the game unbelievable atmosphere from 2pm tailgate & into the morning AWESOME!!
Buckeye fan here, wiscy earned this and dominated OSU the entire game. no two ways about it. OSU and wiscy have been the most relevant teams in the conf and it has become a great rivalry! Look forward to the match up in Columbus this season :)

This is my all time favorite highlight that you have made. Watched it at least a good 25 times. I've memorized each line the announcers say from 0:20 - 1:20 haha. I got to see the opening kickoff return but then went to a haunted house with my friend. I remember coming out of it and looking at my friends dad and saying; "They kicked ass, didn't they?", and then him just responding with a smile, and they saying "Hell yeah." Great game, great video. I envy the Wisconsin football program. No top recruits, no drama, no sanctions, no off-the-field troubles. I think they are highly underrated for this year at 11th in the nation. They should be top 5.

Remember this night, we were having a big (bachelor/bachelorette) party with a chartered bus to drag us around. All the guys were impatiently waiting out by the bus to go to the next venue and the ladies would not leave the bar until the game was over!!
My fav. part of this is watching Carimi and to a Mofit just dominate.....Carimi is so good......jusrt owned Clayborn of Iowa....i just hope my vikes get him in teh draft at #12.....i think he is a true NFL tackle.

I agree. With JJ on the line, neither of those back to back Hail Marys against MSU and then OSU would have happened. That year was their title shot.
