Great vid! Tried your crimping method &...I like it‼️ Works well!
Thanks for posting!
Awesome!! You’re very welcome! Glad it helped !
those wheels in white on the blue Honda Civic is look amazing
💯💯💯
Damn, and they spin super good!
Thanks man 💪🏽
That is a great wheel swap with that PORSCHE 👍.
Thanks man 🙏🏽
Thank you for this video. Very helpful. Where did you get the brass rods & your crimpers from?
Got everything from hobby lobby
Noice tutorial thanks for that just subscribed 🤙🏽
💯🥰 thank you!
This is great! I’m not even swapping I needed to shorten the axel on a car as hot wheels cut it too long from factory ( it was a Porsche 911 GT3 and it looked goofy AF with this hideous wheel base)
Awesome !! Thanks for watching ! 💙💙💙
Great information 👍
Thanks man check the link pinned at top for updated video
Very helpful video man ! Been looking for ways to make my own axels cause some wheels come apart from it. Gonna try this method out !
You are welcome! Im going to make a new video soon on how im doing my axles now
very helpful! do you have a video on how to put the car back together??
Not yet!
Thank you very much for the tutorial, since brass is a softer metal, and if the car flies off the track, will the axle bend?
Not sure , but i am doing my axles differently now. New video coming soon!
Cool thanks
You are very welcome thanks for watching !
What size of Brass Rod did you use for the axles?
Thanks homie
Yeeee! You welcome !
Gotta love the Outlaw Porsche tt
💯💯
Great videoI have a question where did you buy your tools?
At the time i had got everything at harbor freight
Thank you
No problem! Thanks for watching! Ill be putting out another video using the drill
I was wondering were did u get the crimp tools at by the he way
I picked these up at walmart
I've got K&S #5501.032 Music wire, what size crimp tubes should I use, the 1mm is too small
I'm using metal wire, it does crimp like the brass tubes so I want to use the crimp tubes and or beads, what size tube and or beads would the wire fit inside of? K&S #5501- .032 music wire.
Where do u buy those copper axels? Can i find em at lowes or some hardware shop, or wod it be a specific place on-line? Ive collected for 25 yrs but just now starting to customize some favorites. Thanks
I personally get mine from hobby lobby 🤙🏽 thanks for watching !
@@3rdeyediecast644 thank you. Ill go look for em today. Know where i could find em in hobby lobby? Like what lane or what would they be around? Thanks for the response
@@vaccumsealed yeah they are in the isle where they keep the models and model paints. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
thx alot
You are welcome! Thanks for watching !!
K&S brass rod 1/32
But its written .79 mm
Is it the same?
I believe so
Damn, it looks like those tools are using are super efficient. You barely look like you’re squeezing it.
I have a new video with new method check my channel
Where did you get the wheels from ? Is it from another car or sold separately ?
Locutz M sometimes they come from other cars and sometimes i buy aftermarket ones. You can find 1:64 scale wheels online
Check out monoblock wheels. They have lots of types of tires and colors and sadly little rim designs but go check them out
What type of glue to get?
Super
I can't find those crimpers, do you have a link?!
I dont unfortunately, i got those in store at walmart in the craft section
Where you get the metal rods axles
Hobby lobby
What brand of wire cutters are you using? I’m trying to find flush cutters so I can cut axles while they’re still on the car.
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Man to be honest not sure what brand these were. But any “flush”wire cutter will do
Where did you buy the rods and tires?
The tires i get from the hotwheels premium cars and just remove them myself. The rods are brass i got from hobby lobby but if you are going to use the crimping method you can also use a paper clip 📎 the more thicker ones so the wheels are stable . I will be making a new video soon using brass tubes
@@3rdeyediecast644 thanks a lot! I’m trying the paper clip method now. I’ve been debating on weather to destroy a premium for the wheels and finally did it and my Subaru came out awesome! I also drilled out the exaust and added a custom one with a part of a pen
Go for it !
How do you keep it together?
Devin Sharp you can do a few things. The simple way is super glue them back together or get some self tapping screws i dont remember the exact size at the moment but i will post here . And you can screw them shut
@@3rdeyediecast644 Also looking for an answer to this.
@@davidpeck7833 just the size of the post, idk if its 2mm or 3, just try 2mm, to be sure.
Where can I get the tools from. Tia
I recommend you getting a drill instead of a Dremel any hardware store will do Harbor freight Home Depot. Take a look at my latest video for updated tools
What is the blue tool called ??
A crimper 🤙🏽
PAPER CLIPS WORK ALSO
Satyr Angel yeah absolutely inuse those too 🤙🏽
Depends but mine work
Ahhhhh I just solder the end and file. So look stock
Awesome ! Very cool. This is a much older video. Now im using the Hot Wheels axles and brass tubes ... im hoping to make a video soon to show
@@3rdeyediecast644 I like the tube methods but I also file a littl hole add glue and kramp it
Yo!! What you write?!?! 😆
🤫🤐
@@3rdeyediecast644 where did you get the brass rods?
@@BeingWithout hobby lobby
Didn't understand why you cut the axel in half when you could've just cut the end off and repurposed the axel on a different car (we're all different). I do understand they are cheap to replace though. I buy a LOT of my materials at Michaels craft store......super cheap for all your h.w. needs
These vids are pretty old i need to update with new ones. But you are right though michaela has a lot of good stuff!
