Thank you for the tutorial Luke, & I have a few additional questions, if you could take the time to respond :) Does this unit come with the micro USD card, or do I need to purchase one, and if I do, what is the max GB it would take? Also is this unit usb charges as well, as usb transfer to a laptop? Your responses are appreciated :)
I have the Sony ICD PX 370. I got mine used, so I'm not sure if a new unit comes with a micro SD card. I've picked up some (also known as TF cards) from Walmart ("Onn" brand) and from Amazon or eBay ("SanDisk" brand) and have had great success with them. I've only ever used 16 GB cards, which work great. But I'm thinking of ordering some that are bigger (32, 64, 128, 256...) I reasonably expect they'll work fine, but I've never used one larger than 16 GB. I once tried going super cheap with some knock-off brand TF cards, thru Amazon, and had some failures (very slow read & write speeds, corrupted files, unreadable, lost dozens of audio files), so I do NOT recommend that. As for charging, I'm 99% sure it does NOT charge its batteries when plugged into a standard USB port. It takes two AAA batteries, and can record for probably 24 hours before they have to be replaced. Before long, I discovered the beauty of rechargeable batteries, and that has been a huge help. Amazon has packs of rechargeable AAA's for a good price. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!
I have 570 and thought about getting a battery version. On the 570, it can take a 128GB SD card. I am curious if the 370 will be able to take a 128GB SD card or higher?
Hi Guy! Can I ask how it turned out when you transfered the audio? is the audio quality as good as the quality of the audio in this video? Thank you for your response!
For VOR SETTINGS: Press the back button then use the left or right button until you see setting, press recording settings and then scroll to VOR and turn it to the on mode. YOU'RE WELCOME 🌟🌟🌟🔥🔥🔥
Very Nice Demo. Can you please let me know if I can record on this unit off the AMPLIFIER (off the board) by using a adaptor cable, so that on one side it is hooked to 3 pin output of amplifier and usining MIC IN of this unit.

Hi!! I have a question for you, sorry for my bad english, does this device let you change the speed of reproduction?i mean when you listen to something you.had recorded can you cange the speed of listening?
It's supposed to have helpguide.sony.net/icd/p37/v1/en/contents/TP0001272000.html however those directions don't jive, there is no settings button, there is a option button. From options you can find VOR, however there's no way I could find to switch from OFF. (actually from record screen just press back then select settings instead of pressing options)
I just want to ask what is the extension of the audio file? what if i put an mp3 file music audio in it does it work? im planning also to use it as a music player.
@@Bronzato I'm having the same issue - you can't fast forward. Instructions say you can add a T-mark to divide the recording and to go to that mark when playing back. But I couldn't figure out how to go back to it when playing it back. Instructions do not tell you how to do that.
I have just bought one and the recording is very clear, but there was no sd card in the box. What do I need to buy please in order to download to my pc?
It will identify the files saved to the SD card. this is not a very good mp3 player as the built-in speaker is subpar and the user interface is not great.
How to activate? I press option button, then select REC INFORMATION (pressing play button) then scroll down to VOR, when highlighted I press play button to toggle from OFF to ON, but it doesn't toggle, just goes back to main screen.

Hi, I am wondering on buying this recorder for recoding around 6 people in an empty room. They would be about 4-6 feet away from the recorder and speaking at normal volume between each other. So I don't know about the distance on capturing the audio. I need it to be just as good so I can transcribe what everybody said.@@TheBreakdownWithLuke
Yes it does. I just got it last night.. And so im still figuring it out.. But yes it does do voice activated. Its a standby mode. And im still trying to figure out the sensitivity on it. ..
Compared to the PX 333, the 370 is a piece of crap. The speaker is 1/3 the size of the 333 and the sound sucks shit. If you can find 333s, scarf them up. They ruined the perfect icd.

can you store multiple recordings on a file on the recorder?
Yes
