Zoella and Marcus and Alfie and that crew NEED to make a video about this. They've got the biggest audience and would have a huge impact but they're just ignoring what's going on it's really bugging me.
That's exactly what I was thinking, I think they avoid the topic because they don't want to be controversial and lose any subs or anything, it's a shame though
They usually stay quiet, perhaps to stay neutral (which considering their largely young female audience and the gravity of the allegations I personally think is wrong) or to avoid becoming a part of the controversy. I agree they should take a stand as collectively they have such a large audience they could really bring awareness to these issues. But it's a difficult topic to approach, and in regards to the youtubers in question they run in completely different circles (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm surprised Louis hasn't mentioned it considering his past relationship with Sam pepper.
Just because they haven't made a video about it doesn't mean they don't acknowledge what is going on, maybe they just don't know how to formulate their thoughts into a video. They are also not obliged to make a video just because they have a lot more subscribers, it would be great but they should't be look down upon for not doing so. Also, Zoe and Louise have made a video about Boundaries and Saying "NO" and sexual abuse, whilst it was made before all this occurred, they did bring it back up in light of what has happened.
I'm glad you found the right words for this video, man. I know it wasn't easy, it took me a while to make mine too, but it's a very important topic and it needs to keep being discussed. You handled it very well and also managed to make me laugh multiple times. Thanks for adding my video to the description by the way, I'm glad you liked it enough to do that!
Great video, this will raise a lot of awareness. I thought Jason's "apology" video was very self-serving and I'm glad you highlighted how that was enough for some people.
It's weird to see the comedic people I watch making such a serious video, but I'm so glad that youtubers with bigger audiences are making direct videos on this subject. There have been a lot of vague videos on content and it's an important message but speaking directly about the situations at this moment are more likely to comfort other victims and allow them to feel more comfortable about speaking up. Thanks for your video Gary, it was absolutely brilliantly done, and for just generally being a big part of the discussion. I love seeing your comments on all of the videos surrounding this at the moment. You're really making an impact. :)
Gary, I always smile when I read your comments under youtubers' videos, you're always so kind, polite and lovely! So glad that a big part of the youtube community is now discussing such an important subject.
What makes me sad personally, is the fact that I have met 4 out of 5 of the youtubers Jack listed at the start and I completely fangirled, it was some of the happiest moments of my life. Finding out these things about them make me feel disgusted and stupid for being so happy to even just get a picture with them
The only RUclipsr I have ever met is Luke Conard who has also been outed for being abusive. Makes me sick that I even cared to take a picture with him.
I still feel like this needs to be talked about. It's been over a year now and it's just kinda been thrown under the rug. I don't know if anything major like this has happened in the last year, but it's still okay to talk about it. It doesn't need to go unnoticed. Even though it's been a year I still love this video.
+Julie Bacon I agree! And like you said I think most of this did get "thrown under the rug..." Because as far as I know (please correct me if you know otherwise) the people who were accused didn't get any jail time or any legal punishment. Which is not ok.
***** All I really know is that some got taken off of RUclips for a while (Like Sam Pepper, Jason VeeOneEye, and Carter Reynolds) but are still active in the community. I guess people just try to forget things like this happened.
+Brooke Mattingly I just remembered one person Mike Lembardo (I think that's how you spell his name) was in jail for having child pornography of under age fans. Not sure if he still is.
These were my Suggested Videos: -A few of Jack's vids -Defending Sam Pepper -How to dress to avoid sexual harassment I literally cannot face palm enough
Was the 'how to dress' video by Tainted Liberal? Because that's a sarcastic video in reply to Sam's fake hand ass prank thing But defending Sam Pepper, ugh. Poor idiot.
If you dress differently you will not be sexually harassed. I know this bcos it is only women that dress like this that get harassed, and then make dumb complaints
You made a VERY good point in this. Apologizing, in this case, is more like admitting to a crime, and admitting to a crime shouldn't justify it. And it never does.
Even now, I've seen so many people saying stuff like 'I wish ______ wasn't outed as a sexual abuser' which is really stupid. I am so glad that they were outed, I'm glad that people know that they're horrible people, I'm glad people are talking about it, I just really wish they weren't sexual abusers.
Katrina Wall yeah, I mean if they have that mindset but just didn’t go out of their way to actually sexually abuse someone it’s really not that much better.
So many good points. We need to keep this conversation going and spread it out to more people to make our community safer for everyone. Such a difficult thing to make a video about, but you did it well.
A bit of direct aggression once in a while is a good idea, too. I don't mean throwing punches and screaming at people, but let your offenders know you can't stand them or you don't like what they're doing. Otherwise, it's just gonna keep creeping in when it shouldn't have to be there at all, really.
FINALLY a sexual abuse video by someone with a prominent subscriber count that isn't vague and "careful". You actually named names and were properly upfront about the issue. There are very few popular youtubers who are being straightforward about who is involved and what's going on. I for one am sick of so many youtubers thinking that addressing these issues in a tweet or two is what's going to make an impact. Their audience is here. On RUclips. Thanks for stepping up Jack. I hope some of your friends learn from you.
I think the timing of the video is actually really good, it keeps the conversation about the issue going rather that it being gossip that lasts a week and then is pushed aside. Very well said Jack!
I really respect you for making this video and for not sugar coating it. It was a fantastic video. Thank you for making it and discussing this with your audience.
It's funny that Jack says in this video that he didn't deliver the message as eloquently as others, but six years on, his and Charlie's are the only ones I remember.
It's so depressing to me that people are having to make videos confirming that they don't support sexual abuse. I mean bigger RUclipsrs like you should definitely be making them, cause you probably do have a little crossover with the audience of some of the abusers and youngsters seeing more of their favourite RUclipsrs denouncing that behaviour is a good influence on their thoughts. So I'm not having a go at anyone that's made a video about this topic, just annoyed I guess at the fact that someone is exposed as a rapist and for some reason there needs to be dialogue about whether or not it's wrong.
You're right. There shouldn't need to be dialogue. Everyone should just already know that rape and sexual abuse is wrong. But sadly this is not the case so it must be addressed. Because if we sit back and do nothing the problem will only continue to grow
I respect you so much for this. As a sexual abuse SURVIVOR, there is such a huge problem in general with 'slut shaming' and blaming the victim and not blaming the person. It is utterly wrong on so many levels. No one should be supported if they have been outed as a sexual abuser. Society needs a radical change.
I am so glad to see someone with the amount of subscribers you have make a video on this topic. I can understand the discomfort and fear of not knowing what to say on a difficult topic, but you said everything that needed saying, and have the power to reach a lot of people. Well done, and thanks for standing up for your viewers and other young girls on youtube.
Thank you for being so honest and just being frank about this, I struggled to make a vlog about this, but you, to me, we're one of those vlog responses which I think 'I wish I talked about it like that'
aussyells His Twitter isn't really the problem. It's obviously RUclips that need to take action and delete these people's channels or nothing's going to get solved.
I'm not gonna specify who (but I think we all know) there is one very big community on RUclips that has not really made any videos on this and they have so much power here but are scared to say anything important and I think that is very bad.
Ellie M-W Yeah considering they're still mutually friends with one of the abusers. Catriffic and Joey Graceffa Have gone out of their way to defend Luke Conard who abuser several female youtubers.
So true! I couldn't agree more. I'm sick of some of the people at my school saying things like "it's not even that bad, all he did was pinch their arse" it's ridiculous how people can just overlook things like this because it may not be as bad as other things. But if we carry on like this, things will get worse and people will have learnt by then to just ignore it. We need to start raising awareness and JackHoward and others are brilliantly using RUclips to do this
Thank god people are making videos, thank you Jack. I've only seen a few - people are generally talking about it on their blogs and other social media, etc - but most of your viewership is here on RUclips. The only way you can stop this on RUclips is to discuss it on here - I don't like how a lot of people are ignoring it...
I'm constantly impressed by the succinct way Jack addresses these issues. He may not have the biggest following to deliver to, or -as he said- the most eloquent way of wording it, but he is consistently a loud, clear voice stating what is right and what is wrong with these situations. I admire those RUclipsrs who can wax poetic and vlog passionate rants, but Jack's simple way of explaining the facts is sometimes what's needed. This blunt delivery gets the same important messages across and is worthy of just as much respect. Anyone who uses their position of celebrity (however seemingly small) to speak out in an informed way for what is right should be applauded, it's not always the easiest thing. These are the people that are leading the way towards the changes this community needs. Thank you Jack.
it's because they do not want to be associated with them in anyway at all. all the videos containing those people have deleted/unlisted/taken down. it's not because they are scared;it's because they want absolutely nothing to do with them and don't want to be associated with them either
I just want to say thank you Jack, thank you for apologising (even though you don't need to) thank you for telling people that if they ignore it and say it's not important then they are part of the problem. I've been sexually abused, and I've talked about it much more and helped my friend with it too after watching this. Thank you so so much ❤
Thank you for making this video, I wish I could show you how much hearing this means to me. It's a terrible truth that people can be blind to a problem if they or a loved one haven't experienced it themselves, which is why this message needs to be spread.
i'm really glad you posted this and i wish more youtubers would follow suit. it disappoints me that some of the people with large audiences are doing nothing to contribute to keeping the conversation alive.
Have been avoiding watching all of these videos until now. I'm glad that you made this video Jack. Proud of you for not staying quiet even though you're friends with, and have even had Alex Day in one of your videos (possibly more, but I can only think of the one). Keep using your voice Mr Howard, proud of you, Mad respect. xx
Thank you for making this, we really do need to keep talking about the subject and not just let it blow over There's a video about my experience with Jason and it would mean a lot to me if you watched it x
The victims involved really do need to approach this from a legal perspective as well; If they don't approach the police then these people will *never be punished*. I understand it's hella difficult but it's hella worse for these people to be left unpunished.
Jack, out of ALL the videos buzzing around youtube about Sexual Abuse, yours is the best. It is correct, honest, truthful and raises awareness. And for that, I thank you!
***** It's not that you shouldn't look up to RUclipsrs cause a lot of them do really good things, but I think what they mean is that you shouldn't continue looking up to them if they've done these things instead of pretending its not happening, like Jack said
311tomboy it's fine to admire the work that someone does without putting said person on a pedestal which stops you seeing them as a human and realising that they have the potential to fuck up just as much as the rest of us.
Anjali Mehra exactly this. To the current target audience of british vlogger fans (14 year old fandom girls) someone who sits down in front of a camera in their bedroom can be seen as god
***** and it's dangerous because they're the ones that are now defending these youtubers and trying to keep them on this platform, when in reality they shouldn't remain in that position at all.
Thank you so much for making this video. I have never been sexually assaulted in any way, but I have numerous close friends and family members who have been, and I understand how incredibly important it is to raise awareness of the issues and urge those who have been assaulted to step forward in some way. I'm extremely grateful that you made this video; again, thank you so much for stepping out and talking about the actual issue in such a frank but much-needed way.
Sexual assault is a crime, it needs to be reported. Those victims also need to be supported and to seek counselling as they should not feel they're alone...and most important it's not their fault. It is a sad case of affairs when such medium like this is abused.
Steph Monk It is a very complex topic imo. Apology can be used as a formal act to lighten weight of crime done by many, but at the same time it is a way of showing actuall remorse and will to change by others few. It is hard to draw that line here
I love this video for some reason this is one of my favourite videos like this I just don't know why i just think everything you say is perfect. Thank you for this so much. I love the fact that you made this
I just want to say, firstly, the fact that you admitted you were wrong about the 'supportive' tweet you initially sent is really respectable. As human beings we make judgement errors and learn from them the more we are exposed to information and you clearly learned why you're initial reaction to Jason's apology wasn't the best. Also, you're not late to talk about this topic. When we look at the broader picture it has literally been less than a week since accusations against Jason were made. This isn't a topic that deserves to be forgotten in such a short time. Sexual abuse and manipulation is an ongoing problem in society and apparently youtube as you and other youtubers have said (ie. apparent rumours of other unknown abusers) and therefore it should be an ongoing discussion amongst the community. We can't just forget about the importance of awareness surrounding this topic in a week. The victims of abuse don't just forget about what happened to them in a week and neither should we. This platform has turned into a circus of celebrity and the success if individual creators isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just a worrying thing. These creators are only human and they are more than capable of doing very bad things and making aweful life choices. When their audience, which is an increasing number of young teenage girls, view these people as celebrities they suddenly put these people on a pedestal and refuse to have their idol dethroned. These individuals are ignoring and in effect supporting the abusive way that certain creators use their popularity and power. This isn't okay. Changes need to be made and the discussion of safety within this wonderful community needs to continue.
You're so great for posting this Jack! People do need to talk about it more, and it's people like you with an audience who need to teach young people about it. I'd love it if you could try and ask Zoella and Alfie to post a video like this too, because the more people who talk about it the more young people will be educated. Consent and sexual abuse aren't spoken about enough or even at all to young people, so I'm so happy you've used your power to educate people on it. Thanks again Jack, you rock.
A lot of people are saying that Zoe or Alfie or Tyler or really any of them should make a video on sexual abuse, because they have large audiences. I agree that a video from them could potentially be really great and raise a lot of awareness about the issue. However, if they were to make one comment that could be taken as inappropriate, offensive, or just uneducated, their entire fan bases would flip out. Sexual abuse is just too touchy of a subject, for good reason. And I don't think they're educated enough to make a proper video about it, they'd end up saying something wrong, which would mislead their viewers.
I'm kinda curious about this guy called Luke Conard, because I think I've heard that he also took advantage of people in relationships (maybe not sex, I'm not sure). I'm just wondering if those were just rumors, or it is actually true, because I have watched several of these sexual abuse videos and no one has mentioned him yet.
Not rumours - he was definitely confirmed as an abuser. You can find links to all the discussions of RUclips abusers outed so far, including Luke Conard, in this masterpost: unpleasantmyles.tumblr.com/post/79455706244/tom-milsom-hexachordal-heres-the-post-olga
***** That's true, but I think it's better that we assume victims are telling the truth until otherwise proven. And often hard evidence isn't possible because it's only the victim and the abuser that know about it. Besides, anyone who is accused has more than enough opportunity to come forward and address these claims, and it's more important that we create a safe environment for victims to come forward, anonymously or otherwise, than always questioning the legitimacy of their accusations. Our culture already does that constantly.
Yes he did manipulate people when he was in a relationship with people, there are several blog posts of the girls (Ingrid and others) saying what had happened to them
This video makes me happy because it always gives me a bit more belief in humanity when I see people actually care and want to fix things like this. All of you points are completely valid and love that you made this x
This is my first time watching a video of yours and I just want to say how refreshing it is to see somebody so honest. You pointed out your mistake, no matter how small, and even the viewers of Jason and Sam. Well done.
Thank you for making this video. I hope those who need to be punished for what they did, will be. It's very important not to ignore these things just because you're sick of hearing about them. We should always support and listen to victims of sexual abuse who have the courage to talk about what has happened to them. Thanks again for this video!
Thank you, Jack. Really. I don't understand why more people aren't talking about this. It makes me so sad to think that so many people look up to RUclipsrs and yet the ones with the biggest fan bases are completely silent. THIS is the kind of video people need to be watching. THIS is the message that should be going out full-force. You are wonderful for making it and it makes me angry that you don't have more subscribers. Thank you for being socially-focused and victim-oriented, even if it's "uncomfortable" or you have to discuss people you know personally. I really fully respect you and BriBry for coming out with these videos. I wish I could "like" this more than once.
Gary C made an excellent point of saying that if it was any other job they would have been dismissed immediately so why haven't they been dismissed from RUclips and had their channel deleted? It is the same thing as being sacked in any other job! RUclips needs to grow up and realise they need to get rid of these people from our community
THANK YOU JACK!!! it is so important and we NEED to talk about this! i want these offenders offline and in their rightful place (jail, court or a garbage pile) this can't go on any longer! the one thing i hope that they weren't thinking while doing the things they did was "I'm famous, of course she wants me" or "this is so funny, the fans are gonna love this and my bank account will too!" thats what would make me feel even sicker! WE NEED TO RAISE MORE AWARENESS TO THIS!! There needs to be a hashtag or anything that people can use to make these offenders leave and Jack, you're a bloody good guy for making this video to help towards this!
Brilliantly done Jack. Not only have you made this an interesting video, but you have made something honest and sincere while avoiding the cliches and excuses that are batted about so much at the moment. Thank you. I love hearing your viewpoint on these things, and my respect and appreciation for you as a content creator has gone up tenfold. Also your glasses are awesome, congrats.
Huh. Saw this in my recommended and assumed it was new, and from the introduction was expecting Angry Joe. Then he called Sam Pepper recent and I realised the truth.
I know this is a really serious video but when Jack says "Can we get him a cake as Well, cause he did really good then?" was brilliant. I love Jack's style of videos because he can include comedy but not going too far in a situation like this.
I would like to personally thank you Jack, because until this video I personally had no idea what to think about all these horrible crimes that have been happening on youtube lately. To tell you the truth I am very lucky to say this has not happened to anyone I know personally or myself, so it has been very confusing. I use to look up to some of these youtubers, now I just feel like a massive idiot, but that's not the point. The point is if anyone reading this has ever been abused/ assaulted, then you need to know we are here for you, if you want to come out or not. Thanks again Jack!
please someone anonymously whistle blow these other shady people, it will help victims come forward, utter silence on other predators is rape culture. Protect your friends and fans. People who know who these mysterious other abusers are, who iv heard a few people alluded to this is not okay. Make an anymous tumblr post, send it to Lace Green or RUclips Speaks for hype. If you are friends with them call them out, ask them to get therapy/ help.
The problem with this is (and don't think I am condoning and/or defending abusers here - they are the scum of the earth and need to be punished) that unverified 'whistleblowing' by third parties doesn't help the situation. It ends up being gossip/rumor and will bring out trolls on both sides which could scare victims even further away from wanting to come forward. Our only concern here should be for other victims and that they have someone that they can trust to talk to - that doesn't include the vast empty shitstorm that is the internet. Also, on a side note, there are legal implications for people who whistleblow - especially if they are not in possession of all the facts. If, for instance, Jack were to post a video naming all the people about whom there are rumours and they end up being false rumours - he could be sued for libel. I guess what I am trying to say is that it is up to the victims to decide whether or not they want to come forward (and who they want to come forward to) - not be pushed out in front of everyone by third parties - whether they be whistleblowers or friends. That would do way more harm to them than good.
lilybetaldycia whistleblowing doesn't have to be publicly naming and shaming people, things like getting nude pics from minors is against the law and the police could have been informed about it
lilybetaldycia the problem is all the abusers had rumors for years about them being abusive. people who are not sexual abusers just do not have these kind of rumors floating around for years. I said anonymous whistle blowers for there own legal protection. And one of sam peppers victims had said she searched and searched the internet to see if anyone else had said anything. protecting people is cool! warning people is cool! silence has not worked in the past.
Jack Howard this is the most necessarily frank video about the recent sexual abuse within RUclips and perhaps the most eloquently put. Words cannot describe how much I want to thank you in person for making it. We need more people like you in this community.
I made the exception with Alex Day because I personally haven't heard any proof that he has committed sexual assault. It would seem that he had sex with people who felt like they had to have sex with him but through ignorance he wasn't aware of their feelings. He's made a daft mistake and hurt a few people through blundering around in a carefree manner and not gaining verbal conformation from people before sleeping with them, but it would seem that he feels upset that this was the case and is striving to make sure he doesn't put someone in that position again and he didn't intend to cause any pain. If I hear some kind of conclusive proof then that will change things.
I think the sexual assault that Alex Day has been accused of is a little bit more complex than other instances, people said that Alex emotionally manipulated them and made them feel like they owed him sex for the attention he gave them, this still counts as rape, even if none of the girls actually protested at the time. I'm pretty sure that most people would be able to tell from body language whether someone doesn't want to have sex, and if its a girl under the age of 16 they shouldn't even put them in that situation because legally the girl cannot say yes.
Flo Heath I didn't think the people he actually slept with were under 16? I think we need to look at his case more carefully then. He doesn't seem to remember any indications suggesting the girls didn't want to sleep with him and if this is the case with him then it must be the case in many other places around the world. As always the answer here is education and raising awareness. If guys/girls know how to recognise when someone is uncomfortable we can avoid these situations where one party doesn't realise and the other doesn't know how to say no.
Flo Heath No girl Alex had sex with was under the age of 16 and having sex while one feels pressured because someone fame or the hope to make the other like them is called being groupies not rape.
Agreeing to sex because you feel like you have to is not giving consent. Not gaining verbal confirmation is not getting consent. Being coerced into having sex is not giving consent. Everything that you just described is nonconsensual sexual contact, which means it IS sexual assault and/or rape.
im so glad that people talk about this sort of thing.. fuck it. I'm glad people talk about sequel abuse on RUclips because I personally find it harder to talk about it in person, having experienced seeing my peers go through this. so thank u jack I appreciate u
Why do people think that just because these people are youtubers and they like their videos that it's ok to still support them? Would support a regular guy who raped a teenage girl? No! Just think and some put it in a different perspective. This video really hit close to home for me
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I am so happy that sexual abuse/assault is becoming a normal topic of conversation. I was fortunate to grow up in a household where to topic of abuse was not taboo. But I noticed, as I got older, that it wasn't the case for other families. But now, being 25, I am so happy that it is becoming the norm to talk about 'uncomfortable' situations like these. Remove the taboo and more people will be able to talk about it. Thank you Jack for getting this conversation going.
I did know abou any of this, probably because I never really liked sam pepper but I'm a bit sad for what he has done to youtube that so far I throught it was a great comunity. I'm also sad because the most popular brithish youtuberes haven't done a video abou this important topic only you. Chalie made a video kind of talking about it but not talking about it. They are afraid of losing subscribers but I think this is more important that any subscribers in the world. Jack howard now I have even more admiration for you
Thanks for making this video. I don't think it matters if youtubers feel like everything has already been said or that they're repeating thoughts that have already been expressed because every video that is made WILL reach someone who hasn't seen all the others and on top of that, will provide yet another voice speaking out and saying they will support survivors of sexual harassment and assault and that they will not enable abusers. It means so much.
You took a very serious subject & made talking about it be easy and relaxed. People need to stop being afraid of speaking out ; the more it's talked about, the more people are aware of it. You're a great youtuber, and an awesome human being.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate you.
I love you tyler
❤️❤️
Cheers Tyler. Love you.
Yes Tyler x

Zoella and Marcus and Alfie and that crew NEED to make a video about this. They've got the biggest audience and would have a huge impact but they're just ignoring what's going on it's really bugging me.
I'm with you on that. I'm really disappointed in them for not saying anything.
It would be great if they did but I doubt they will.
You're really fluppen good at this
FAB video
Not a single person replied to this
Suffer No Fools she’s bisexual yeah
Suffer No Fools nah fab is just British slang m8, assuming you’re not British
I'm glad you found the right words for this video, man. I know it wasn't easy, it took me a while to make mine too, but it's a very important topic and it needs to keep being discussed. You handled it very well and also managed to make me laugh multiple times. Thanks for adding my video to the description by the way, I'm glad you liked it enough to do that!
Im impressed by how actively you have been working to add awareness to whats been happening despite the fact that you could get hate for it.
I love you videos!!!
Nathan, I had so much respect for you for your comedic value before; but now that respect has blasted for the roof. You've done a good thing.
Good video, very glad you made this. You're forgiven for tweet-stealing.
what does tweet-stealing mean? or what did he do? no sarcasm here, i'm genuinely asking :)
@@KayKayshaw Well its been 4 years and still no answer
Almost 6 now 😔
AdenAnimates no we don’t count this year
Blitso 7 hahah
What makes me sad personally, is the fact that I have met 4 out of 5 of the youtubers Jack listed at the start and I completely fangirled, it was some of the happiest moments of my life. Finding out these things about them make me feel disgusted and stupid for being so happy to even just get a picture with them
Great comment, and I'm sure many other people are thinking the same thing.
The only RUclipsr I have ever met is Luke Conard who has also been outed for being abusive. Makes me sick that I even cared to take a picture with him.
Same here, I only found out yesterday what Tom did to Dodie and I can't believe I listened to his songs for years, finding comfort in them.
I hate that no one even mentions it anymore it needs to continued to be talked about
Yeah it really does
A simple tweet by either of you every now and again and by me and by everyone could make a huge difference
+Julie Bacon Seriously?? That pisses me off.
Thanks for letting me know though!
+Brooke Mattingly Sadly, yes I'm very serious and you're welcome.
+Brooke Mattingly I just remembered one person Mike Lembardo (I think that's how you spell his name) was in jail for having child pornography of under age fans. Not sure if he still is.
These were my Suggested Videos:
-A few of Jack's vids
-Defending Sam Pepper
-How to dress to avoid sexual harassment
I literally cannot face palm enough
Was the 'how to dress' video by Tainted Liberal? Because that's a sarcastic video in reply to Sam's fake hand ass prank thing
But defending Sam Pepper, ugh. Poor idiot.
To be fair the video "Defending Sam Pepper" is not in defense of Sam Pepper.
Oh, good. Then they're not an idiot. Confusing title though.
I’ve got... Tomska, How to make fish pie, and Speedrunning?
If you dress differently you will not be sexually harassed. I know this bcos it is only women that dress like this that get harassed, and then make dumb complaints
I wish there were more people in the world like jack
So true
You made a VERY good point in this. Apologizing, in this case, is more like admitting to a crime, and admitting to a crime shouldn't justify it. And it never does.
I respect YOU for making THIS.
Seriously, though, nailed it.
This still holds up so well 🙌🙌
3:18 to all the nash grier and justin beiber fans out there
I get nash Grier (bc of the racist sexist and homophobic comments he's made) but what did justin do?
Behin Nazem chill. im not lookin for an argument so.. bye. hopefully someday youll realize what total douches these guys are.
once a douche, always a douche.
my motto.
For god sake your so childish to comment stuff like this grow up a bit mate.
Behin Nazem mate you are a legit example of what Jack is talking about.
Very well said Jack. I'm glad you made this.
Well said.
I think the timing of the video is actually really good, it keeps the conversation about the issue going rather that it being gossip that lasts a week and then is pushed aside. Very well said Jack!
Agreed. Kept checking for any progress regularly. Hopefully, all of these won't eventually be ignored and go to waste.
You just got yourself a new subscriber. This is an amazing video; simple, straight to the point and very well said.
Ngl I think everyone kind of thought Sam was a prick before all of this.
Innit. Seems like he's the answer for every "Most likely to go to jail.."
THANK GOD SOMEONE BIG IS FINALLY FUCKING TALKING ABOUT THIS!
This is awesome Jack. You are truly an amazing person and it's awesome hearing this from you (:
I really respect you for making this video and for not sugar coating it. It was a fantastic video. Thank you for making it and discussing this with your audience.
even though I'm two years late, I just stumbled upon this video and I subscribed. good on you jack. very well worded
Glad you made this. You and TheThirdPew both make such eloquent videos, it was nice to hear what you had to say.
Because if we sit back and do nothing the problem will only continue to grow
nowadays jack isnt that big
It didn't click the word tag was being used as a 'video tag'
I thought you meant like the game tag and expected an entirely different video...
I'm glad he did that. People need to watch videos like this and if it's on accident and it makes someone aware then even better
tinabutterandjelly5 Exactly.
Nevertheless, very VERY well worded and you've discussed you're opinion very well. You are a treasure to this site Jack Howard!
It's videos like this that still gives me hope in humanity. Thank you jack.
Thank you for being so honest and just being frank about this, I struggled to make a vlog about this, but you, to me, we're one of those vlog responses which I think 'I wish I talked about it like that'
It feels like this has blown over, and while I feel that that's partially a good thing, it's important to still be discussed. I don't know.
its soo important, like people still worship sam pepper etc, and these "fans" need to be educated
+aussyells Same thing with Jason
+Moggy “YourUltimateDoom” Johnny Good news though! At least sam pepper has deleted his twitter :)
aussyells His Twitter isn't really the problem. It's obviously RUclips that need to take action and delete these people's channels or nothing's going to get solved.
This was good. Hard to tallk about something so heavy in a light way without trivialising it, but you managed it.
I'm not gonna specify who (but I think we all know) there is one very big community on RUclips that has not really made any videos on this and they have so much power here but are scared to say anything important and I think that is very bad.
+Olivia Player Oh yes, and I hate that they have the biggest audiences and have literally said nothing.
ik, I would have thought that maybe even dan and Phil might have something to say...
Ellie M-W Yeah considering they're still mutually friends with one of the abusers. Catriffic and Joey Graceffa Have gone out of their way to defend Luke Conard who abuser several female youtubers.
+Olivia Player I have no idea who you're talking about. Who are you referring to?
y
You are a fantastic person. I have so much respect for you for making this video. Thank you.
Really well handled Jack. It's encouraged me to give my own thoughts on the matter, like you say, its important to speak up and educate.
I came here from Jaackmaate but why aren't the big youtubers saying anything about this?
They're scared
it's because they do not want to be associated with them in anyway at all. all the videos containing those people have deleted/unlisted/taken down. it's not because they are scared;it's because they want absolutely nothing to do with them and don't want to be associated with them either
jaack is best
I just want to say thank you Jack, thank you for apologising (even though you don't need to) thank you for telling people that if they ignore it and say it's not important then they are part of the problem.
I've been sexually abused, and I've talked about it much more and helped my friend with it too after watching this. Thank you so so much ❤
"Gossip and rumours are the wikipedia of normal conversation" such a simple, and yet brilliant statement. Good on ya for making this Jack.
Keep using your voice Mr Howard, proud of you,
Mad respect. xx
Thank you for making this, we really do need to keep talking about the subject and not just let it blow over
There's a video about my experience with Jason and it would mean a lot to me if you watched it x
ACCTUALLY disgusted with the amount of crap going in at the moment really makes you think about whom you look up to...
don't make role models and heroes out of youtube vloggers then- simple.
Ok so this is only the third Jack Howard video I've ever watch and I have so much respect for him!
Yes Jack! Bless your soul, you brilliant human being! Thank you for talking about it so publicly!
This is why I love Jack Howard
The part about the apology is so fucking YES. Good on you mate.
Jack that was fantasticly put! with no excuses or wiggle room. thanks so much for making this, it is so important for the conversation to keep going
You actually get less time in court if you admit it straight away and apologize. I have family in the police. :) - (2:03)
***** Yeah but apologising doesn't make a difference, right...?
Steph Monk It is a very complex topic imo. Apology can be used as a formal act to lighten weight of crime done by many, but at the same time it is a way of showing actuall remorse and will to change by others few. It is hard to draw that line here
Steph Monk I know.
Yeah of course you get less time in court, there's need for it if you plead Guilty. The prosecution's not likely to object :P
i believe in america you get a lesser sentence, but in the UK you dont, its only reduced if you plead guilty straight away
You don't understand how much respect I have for jack. He is talking about the srs problems without worrying about loosing subs or things. Thank you
More people should be like Jack.
Take notes.
I love this video for some reason this is one of my favourite videos like this I just don't know why i just think everything you say is perfect. Thank you for this so much. I love the fact that you made this
I commend you for coming forward to discuss an "awkward" topic that most RUclipsrs would avoid. Reasons I adore you and your channel.
every single video jack films makes me respect him so much more. he talks about the things that need to be talked about and understands it all.
This type of content is needed on RUclips
You can kinda tell that he was a manipulative person.. I unsub to him when I saw the blog post
Yes he did manipulate people when he was in a relationship with people, there are several blog posts of the girls (Ingrid and others) saying what had happened to them
Thanks to anyone replied and clarified the rumors. :)
This video makes me happy because it always gives me a bit more belief in humanity when I see people actually care and want to fix things like this. All of you points are completely valid and love that you made this x
Thank you... RUclips? For telling me this... 5 years later ?
This is my first time watching a video of yours and I just want to say how refreshing it is to see somebody so honest. You pointed out your mistake, no matter how small, and even the viewers of Jason and Sam. Well done.
Bless you for making this video
Thank you for making this video. I hope those who need to be punished for what they did, will be. It's very important not to ignore these things just because you're sick of hearing about them. We should always support and listen to victims of sexual abuse who have the courage to talk about what has happened to them. Thanks again for this video!
Anyone got recommended this in 2021
Try 2022. Basically 2023.
137 think that rape is ok. THE HELL PEOPLE? FEICKING 137 PEOPL DISLIKE THE CONTENT OF THIS VIDEO ???
Subscribed
Immediate subscription. Jack Howard, you deserve a medal.
I applaud this so hard well done jack👏👏
Honestly, amazing👏
If you are friends with them call them out, ask them to get therapy/ help.
please.
That would do way more harm to them than good.
lilybetaldycia
whistleblowing doesn't have to be publicly naming and shaming people, things like getting nude pics from minors is against the law and the police could have been informed about it
lilybetaldycia
the problem is all the abusers had rumors for years about them being abusive. people who are not sexual abusers just do not have these kind of rumors floating around for years.
Flo Heath
> _because legally the girl cannot say yes._
Depends on the jurisdiction.
im so glad that people talk about this sort of thing.. fuck it. I'm glad people talk about sequel abuse on RUclips because I personally find it harder to talk about it in person, having experienced seeing my peers go through this. so thank u jack
I appreciate u
Seriously Jack get some flaws. You are to amazing for earth. Just leave.
Thank You Jack. This is the first RUclipsr to take this seriously and talk about this xx Ily 💕
Jack howard now I have even more admiration for you
I didn't
Thanks for making this video. I don't think it matters if youtubers feel like everything has already been said or that they're repeating thoughts that have already been expressed because every video that is made WILL reach someone who hasn't seen all the others and on top of that, will provide yet another voice speaking out and saying they will support survivors of sexual harassment and assault and that they will not enable abusers. It means so much.
How do you only have 200000+ subscribers when Sam Pepper has 2000000+ subscribers? Wtf has happened.
You took a very serious subject & made talking about it be easy and relaxed. People need to stop being afraid of speaking out ; the more it's talked about, the more people are aware of it. You're a great youtuber, and an awesome human being.
