Can I use hot water to clean the dirt grime and mold off first? Then use conditioner?

Hi Thom! Thank you for watching and for your great question. If getting rid of mold is your objective, we highly recommend not using water to just clean it off or then follow with a conditioner.
As much as water is Mother Nature's wonder cleaner, unfortunately, it won't treat and vanquish a mold problem. We recommend using the right cleaner for the job, which in our case is a specially formulated cleaner with powerful essential oils (essential oils clinically proven to kill and prevent mold/mildew).
Also, mold loves moisture, so applying conditioner to any leather that has a mold problem is like feeding fuel to the fire. Conditioning just continues to create a happy habitat for the mold to stay, feed, and thrive.
The key is to kill and eliminate the mold problem by using a mold-fighting cleaner and drying the leather slightly to restore it to its natural moisture balance before then doing any conditioning.

Do you happen to know the brand and model of the saddle in the video?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out! We actually don't know. A friend had us rejuvenate the saddle for one of their friends, but neither knew the provenance. We didn't observe any markings while we were working on it either, though that isn't unusual sometimes as the branding stamp in the leather can wear to nothing with time and use. I wish I could share more about it, but alas, a mystery. Thank you!
