Thanks for your question. eID-Me currently supports Canadian Passport, Ontario driver's licence, Ontario photo ID card, Ontario health card, and other ID cards in BC, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Support for other provinces and territories is coming soon. You can follow these announcements by joining our eID-Me Members email list: eid-me.com/join
Sorry about that, Vicky. Please email us at support@bluink.ca or call +1 (613) 695-9585. We'll investigate the issue and provide some assistance. Thanks!
Good question. Currently, eID-Me is not a complete replacement for government-issued identity cards since many scenarios (such as law enforcement) still require your identity documents. New standards for mobile driver’s licences are currently being developed, and in the near future, we expect to see physical identity cards replaced by a mobile, electronic version as these standards become accepted by governments. That being said, eID-Me can be accepted as proof of ID today by service providers that trust the eID-Me digital ID.
Does it support all identity cards for Ontario and Canada? Health Card? Firearms License? How about private ID's like car insurance?
