Their Anthem. SAKI and HAZUKI making their guitars cry as hard as TAMU is. LIFE just hits the mark on so many levels...untouchable at #1 NEMOPHILA track. No wonder this is the song they perform as an Encore in their shows. Knowing the back story on this one shows just how close this band really is to each other. This was TAMUs first time back with the band after she rested from pregnancy/childbirth of her first daughter...she is a mother of two daughters now. They didn't tell her that they would be performing this to her as a gift until just a few minutes before this performance. Right before this song, SAKI gave a welcome back speech to TAMU and she broke down crying. The whole band got very emotional (cut scenes during the vid). The band all turned and faced TAMU during this performance and she was crying the entire time...didn't miss a beat. It was also guitarist HAZUKI's birthday, hence the backstage footage. NEMOPHILA performed LIFE as the Encore during their live concert that was streamed on 9 JAN 22. Right before, MAYU brought the band into ~the circle~ for a pep talk and thanked each of them for being a member of this band. She brought them all to tears, and during the performance, right at the part HARA-chan comes up next to her, she broke down herself. MAYU turned the entire venue into a smoking sawmill. This band is something very special. 🌸✨🌠
@WaterWalker an excellent epilogue to the story you told about the Jan 9th concert is their interview with Young Guitar magazine immediately afterwards. They explain how Mayu tricked them all with ~the circle~ as you put it. They all broke down repeatedly, Haraguchi-san proclaimed Tamu the band's maternal figure, and there were hugs. Special indeed. You've probably seen it but here's the link for others (there are English captions): ruclips.net/video/BBEp-38eqro/видео.html
@@Oedwak also the channel Gatorzilla did a really good reaction to this interview with his son doing a great narrations of the subtitles, def worth checking out.
@Oedwak thanks, I sure did. My absolute favorite part of that was HAZUKI throwing down the gauntlet for the Zepp battle of the bands the way she did. Who knew the mild-mannered librarian was really a ferocious tiger LOL. Loved her attitude and approach to those shows
Thank you so much for this reaction. At the last live concert / live-stream, Mayu burst into tears at this song and me and 1000 fans around the world with her. A Masterpiece, no question at all 🤘🌸🤘💙💙💙
I don´t know whether Page mentioned something about the circumstances that had an influence on this concert or not. They are all facing Tamu (the drummer) because this was, I believe, her first performance with the band after she had returned from her maternity leave. And this was a present of sorts. They also celebrated Hazuki´s birthday. The guitarist that they waited for in the changing room; who had her glasses hanging on the mic stand. The baby occasionally appears in their music covers as Tamu has an electric drum set at her home in a closet.
If NEMOPHILA just made great music that would be enough for me to be a fan. Seeing how much love they have for each other, and how grateful they all seem to be able to make music together really kicks my investment up to a whole different level. They deserve all the success.
Que linda balada rock! me encanta Nemophila 👍. la baterista Tamu es el motor de la banda! merecido homenaje por su retorno! gran reacción saludos y gracias por presentar a Nemophila 👍
First like. Knew it would be good before I watched it. At their last concert which is on the new DVD, Mayu cried as this song is really Nemophila's inspiration and is all about the band.
Great reaction Tauri Subtitles were added recently to the official "Life" MV and they are a little more accurate than the translation in the video you reacted to. But good job anyway to the translator and the RUclips channel who put this together more than a year ago
Mayu (vocals) is a great singer and you never know what voice she will be using until the song starts. Mayu got the band together so she could record some demos as the band she was in broke up. They were all friends. They discovered that they easily "meshed" as a band and enjoyed working together. They had no backing or contracts but continued. They started with covers that well worth reacting to. YT video posting got them a fan base and a contract as a band. Now they are recording originals written by members of the band. They are scheduled to perform at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA in October. Any are hoping that they will do a tour in the US after the festival. There are 4 Japanese bands scheduled for the festival. On of which is Band Maid, the top rock band in Japan, and are touring the US after the festival!! The tour is sold-out, 13 dates!!
Very emotional song. I don’t know Japanese but, I cry during this song. Saki and Hazukis guitars along with Mayu vocals just sing emotions. Drummer Tamu had just come back from time off having her baby. So in the stream Saki asked if Tamu was ready for this song, Tamu nodding in backstage stuff. They turned their mics to sing to Tamu. When Mayu gestures to her, she cries. Their concert live streamed at the Zepp with audience, Mayu cried during this.
SURPRISED TO SEE YOU BEING RESPECTFUL WITH NAMES. I THOUGHT YOU AND YOUR BUDDIES LIKE TO CALL HAZUKI, SUZUKI AND LAUGH. I THOUGHT YOU AND YOUR BUDDIES LIKE TO CALL SAIKI, SAKI AND LAUGH EVEN AFTER BEING INFORMED OF THE DIFFERENCE. NOT FUNNY, RACIST IGNORANCE. GO LISTEN TO FINN MCKENTY WHERE YOU BELONG. LOL.
Rather than a hat with lace in real life, I'm a huge beardy man who rides huge motorcycles into huge walls, and watching this video leaves me in tears too. I'm kidding about the huge walls part. At least I hope that never happens...
The instrumental from the first to the last second alone has a certain effect. And then Mayu's voice and the lyrics are I think for many, including me, enough to fight with emotions. 😏 For me the best song of the ladies so far, closely followed by 'Game Over' which can be found on their album right before. Also, a rather quiet song for these ladies. I like that side of them a lot, and I think the way they play their instruments fits it perfectly. :) _____________________ 【 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓. The song was written for the drummer Tamu whoi was on leave after having her first baby, the band only told her it was written for her as they missed her before they started filming, hence all the emotions, gets me everytime 😭
I get the watery eyes all the time I hear this song. Excellent song
I bring tissues, Sweetie! I always hoped you would love it as much as I do. 💜💜
"If we don't make it big" - you so deserve to ladies. Nemophila are just excellent in so many ways.
