    Great fly! Do you buy a pillow travel case when flying so you can get as comfortable as possible?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 месяца назад +1

      No, I travel with only what I absolutely have to. I do not bring any pillows, cases, or travel pillows with me when I fly. It's just more weight to carry around.

    Great vid Bryce! Do you know why in Europe the seat belt sign can be turned off at 10,000ft but in the US it is always at cruise? Thanks!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 месяца назад +1

      I honestly don't know if it's a policy difference, or if European airlines are more liberal with the seatbelt sign. I have noticed though that European airlines do tend to have the seatbelt sign off far more often and much quicker than US airlines.

    I did this flight going the opposite direction back in November 1999, and it was night time. Nice to see those mountains in the daylight.
    I'll bet Phil Keoghan himself handed you your next clue on your Amazing Race. :) While you're going from country to country, remember to Drink The Ooze, so you'll adapt to the local language.
    Hope the Easter Bunny treated you well and gave you some nice gifts.

    Did you know that there are 3 affiliated airlines to EasyJet : EasyJet UK, EasyJet Switzerland and EasyJet Europe. You flew on the latter! How was your flight with EasyJet ? They are my favorite LCC!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 месяца назад +2

      Yes. I did know that. There isn’t enough character space available in the title to break it down 😂.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 месяца назад +2

      And the flight was fine. It was on time, which can be asking a lot in Europe some days 😂. It’s an ULCC, so you know what you’re going to get. I’d fly them again.

      Great haha 😄 I’m happy that you’ve flown to two of my home-airports so far : Zürich and Geneva. 55:56 You can see my village between the two lakes. Looking forward to seeing you again in Switzerland. Also that was a quick takeoff roll! I’m surprised you didn’t chose a seat on the right side.

    How do you stay calm during the flight? Do you have any tips for people struggling with anxiety and panic attacks?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 месяца назад

      Well, I wish I could help more my friend. But, the truth of the matter is that I've never had any struggles with anxiety or a fear of flying. So, I can't really relate because I've never felt that. And I don't want to lie to you and pretend I have all the answers.
      That said... Hundreds and hundreds of people have left similar comments on my videos, so you're not alone. And I hope it brings you some peace to hear that many of those people have come back later to tell me they conquered their fear/anxieties towers flying thanks to my videos. When I started this channel, I never thought my videos would be used for those reasons, but tons of people have told me they watch my videos solely because they have a fear of flying and want to conquer it. Watching my videos, that showcase the entire flight from start to finish helps them see & understand everything that will happen when they fly for real. Even down to all the noises a plane makes. It helps them understand those are normal and it's nothing to worry about. So, I don't want to sound like I'm just tooting my own horn here, but many people have used my videos to help with their anxiety, and many of them have come back to say it worked.
      So, you may be on the right track already. Watching my videos from your own home, when you can pause it at any time, may be one of the best tools to help overcome those anxieties.
      And then I always mention this too. Flying is incredibly safe. It may not seem that way with the way the media reports every single little incident these days, but you have a better chance of winning the lottery than you do being onboard a flight involved in an incident. You have a bigger chance of being hit by a car walking across the street to the airport than you do being involved in an incident on a plane. Think of it like this. There are 45,000 commercial flights every single day in the US. That's 16,000,000 per year. Do you know how many people have been killed on mainline commercial flights in the US since 9/11? One. In 23 years, with over 377,000,000 flights, with 47,000,000,000 seats available, only 1 person has died as a result of an incident on the major US airlines. Those being United, Delta, American, Southwest, JetBlue, Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, Breeze, Avelo, and others. One person in 2017 was tragically lost on a Southwest flight when the engine had an issue which caused a window to break out. 1 out of 47,000,000,000 seats. That's as close to 0% as you'll ever get. That's like 14 zero's before the .1.
      Now, I'm not telling you about that story to scare you. Hopefully that helps you see how astronomically low the chances are you'll ever be involved in an incident. Also, I fly 200 times per year. I have nearly 1,000,000 miles flown all over the world. And I'm still here to reply to this comment.
      I hope that all helps my friend!

      Thank you. It’s a long journey to recovery and that is the main reason I found your channel. I think the portion of the video of you walking up to the plane and into the plane and looking around the seats is what is helping me the most. And of course the toughest part for me is take off. Thank you for including all of those details.

    The last time i saw Geneve Airport was in a dark and windy night in January 1987 and it was just from the outside , standing in deep snow that reached my knees and made me feel like Frosty the snowman , while i tried , not to fall down and to fall asleep till death , because i didn`t get a hotel room that day and had to really SURVIVE that night until the following morning....
