To be honest I decided to watch this movie with no expectations, but oh did the Lord have a surprise for me! He spoke directly to my heart through this film and I am very grateful to whoever made this film. God bless you!

This was an awesome movie, this was a movie about redemption and God's grace, which is something that I still struggle with in my own life, I loved the analogy of the nails in the cross. I personally don't have a problem with someone who has a drink, as long as it isn't in excess, which if I remember correctly what the Bible says. What you have to ask yourself, does this movie point people to a loving God who forgives and I say it does. It touched my heart in a very real way.
Consider why alcohol (not wine which is mentioned in the Bible) is called SPIRITS - Wine and Spirits store.
The nail every nail in that tree represents our sin. Jesus took them out, that was powerful very powerful analogy to. 😊

I loved this movie and the overall message is what matters. NOT all religious movies are the same. This is out if the box and builds up to facing your own inner demons and praying to God for help and guidance. It's not a big budget movie with big stars but it still makes sense to me.
This is a wonderful film with great biblical lessons. I've watched it twice and will watch it again.

I started not to watch this movie at first because it didn't interest me at first. But I said to myself.....let me give this movie a chance and it turns out to be one of the best Inspirational Movies Ever! To God be the Glory..... Amen!

I was addicted to alcohol from age 14-59 years. I read the bible all during this time but until I admitted to God it was a sin and my powerlessness over it and my desire to have it removed, then God did a miracle overnight, totally removed my cravings for this horrible drug. Then 5 years later , I finally went to AA to change my alcoholic personality and character defects and through the 12 step program and GOD reliance was I finally able to be at peace with my broken self and the relationships that the alcohol had destroyed. It was incredibly hard work and painful but so necessary. All the glory goes to God.. For those with any addiction issue, you can find peace with God and 12 step programs.
I pray that God continues to work in your life. Please, understand, that I believe AA is very worldly. My daughter learned that when she was attending the meetings. Maybe the ones you went to were true, but they are disconnected from the truth. False teaching. I pray for you that the true God will open your eyes now and continually. ♥ 🙏 ♥

I wish, hope and Pray for the non-judgmental ability to be Real and extend the -human- hand for "The Love of God". This portrayed a father/pastor who did not avoid, walk around or condemn the -sinner- but faced the sin straight on. Don't appreciate driving after drinking alcohol. I don't drink alcohol any longer - I sure do remember great times with friends when I did......now and then - yes, too much. I've done far worse & bet others have too.....completely sober is when most people cheat, steal and take the Lord's Name in vain.

I agree... I liked the movie and especially the dad's messages, but I was a bit confused at some points...

Beautiful movie, however just 2 points to note, (1) The wine Jesus made was new wine and not fermented wine(wine that can get you drunk) and (2) People don't go to heaven or anywhere else and meet loved ones when they die, they are dead until the resurrection. (anything other than that is NOT biblical!) Read 1 Thessalonians 4!

This was a terrible of example of a Christian movie. You're better off watching LMN than this. Too many mixed messages and compromising that would cause others to stumble if not careful.
I totally agree! I couldn`t even stand to watch it for even 10 minutes. Must of cost a few hundred dollars to make at the most. Don`t know why so many people are saying it`s a great movie. I found it to be extremely boring and dull with the (B) actors and all. If it doesn`t catch my interest within the first 10 minutes or less then I look elsewhere for a real Christian Movie. Not trying to be mean or anything but I have to be honest & truthful unlike most comments below this movie who will say it`s awesome when it`s really a terrible movie.

The movie starts off displaying how addiction has negatively impacted a man’s daughter, (and the importance of not letting satan have any foothold in your life) only to later semi-glorify another slippery slope of alcoholism in a bar scene. I’m starting to think a lot of these movies are planted by satan.
I have yet to watch the movie but I do want to make a reply to your comment. Many of these new "Christian" movies are Not really Christian at all. Most are Glorifying "man" or "flesh" instead of GOD who is Blessed Forever.

Had you have & understood WHAT the movie was about, you'd have seen that BOTH situations were remedied BECAUSE of Ness' understanding God & His Son's love.
At least THAT is what I took from it about Ness' addiction & Derek's beligerance, ONCE, due to being a little intoxicated.

Pray for a friend and his daughter ,Mike and Juli . He might benefit if someone made a movie about his son ,who died in a kayaking accident on a damn in New Zealand. His nail is in his heart, from losing his only begotten son, and mine is halfway out. After graduating from the same outdoor Kirby recreation program and heading out to BB coach the jr high girls at an MK school. My enemies followed me to Manaus from church, school, and work, who some I thought were my best friends ,and human trafficed me , though I escaped eventually, i haven't lived the life I planned after a year of travel and mission work from Bible College, to use my Rec Sports life, get married, raise my children , run overcomers retreats on my logged off forty acres, and generally having a good time being an American Christian. God bless this mess-the world which drives our nails in too deep to pull them out without Jesus.

The retired pastor was accurate in his own assessment and was not drunk or foolish in any way.
Matter of fact he showed how moderate consumption is the key to a balance we all need to achieve, like fear or being judgemental,too much is not healthy.❤

I'm almost 43 minutes in and I agree with other comments....bar scene not good for a pastor. Also, if she is a recovering addict, barely sober for very long, her guy "friend" says let's have another beer. I've been off drugs and alcohol for almost 28 years, Praise Jesus, and I would never go to a bar. I like the movie so far, but this scene is not good at all.
I only got 5 minutes in and turned it off when there was a demonic scene that was like something you'd see in a horror film. Not sure why this was even in the movie

This was a great movie to show how Jesus accepts us as we are and loves us and forgives us and grants mercy. Praise God for giving us his son so that we can have salvation and Jesus left the 99 to go save the one if you have an accepted Jesus today, and I pray that you will ask him into your heart and repent of your sons and live your life for him in Jesus name. Are you saying that you never sin? If so, then you are a liar because the Bible says otherwise. Read Romans chapter 7 and learn about what Paul the Apostle said about sin and in every book of the Bible it says we are all sinner`s even after we are saved but that we should strive to sin less & less as we submit ourselves to God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is by Grace alone and not by Works that anybody does on this earth. No Born Again Christian will be in Heaven because of their good works but only thru Faith in the Blood of Jesus to wash away their sins when they Believe on him and try their best to serve him until they die or go up in the sky to meet him when he comes again for his own. So it`s not about trying to obey the Ten Commandments because nobody in the entire Bible has ever been able to obey all of those Ten Commandments which is why Jesus had to come down to earth in the flesh and die on the cross for our sins. Jesus said that he was the Way , the Truth, and the Life and that no man or woman would come unto the Father in Heaven except thru Jesus.
