Hermosa Beach is a beachfront city located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County, California. Hermosa Beach is bordered by the other two beach cities, Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south.
The Hermosa Beach Pier, extends 1,140 feet from the Strand toward the Pacific Ocean. The current Hermosa Beach Pier structure was built in 1965 and renovated in the early 2000s.

Hermosa, Redondo, and Manhattan Beach are my favorites!
Visited Cali for the first and second times ever to see Metallica in August and October. Stayed in this area both times. SO incredibly beautiful, beautiful people, scenery. The walk from the pier to Manhattan pier is awesome. Active people everywhere. So peaceful!!

i absolutely love this area. i visited a friend here once years ago because she had a place here and was obsessed ever since. ive spent all my time in LA and my dream home is in this area.

Hermosa beach , and redondo beach are the best hands down. Wanna chill and do a bon fire at the beach? Go to Huntington Beach to the pits! So many options to choose here

I love Hermosa Beach. I know every inch of that city.
Now, that I live in Miami. I will miss seeing Hermosa. It will be my first stop. If I ever come back to California.
The last time, I was there. It was sad to say goodbye. So many memories of the Fiesta Days on Memorial and Labor Day weekends. The Volleyball Tournaments.
I know my current Girlfriend was a keeper. When, we stayed to see a sunset at the pier

Super disruptive to enjoying a sunset with ads popping up throughout, not to mention LOUD, if you have speakers on (I can only imagine for those wearing headphones for the binaural experience).
Aside from that, this as a GORGEOUS walk and you planned this out very well. Lived here for many years and you *captured* a good part of why we pay the big bucks to live on The Strand in HB.

I live here!!! I surf at the pier you're standing on! The giant sand burm is usually filled with kids sliding down it like snow! I love my tiny 1.4 mi beach town ✌️❣️
It looks idyllic and the sunset is drop dead gorgeous! Maybe the most beautiful ocean view and sunset I've ever seen. I admit I haven't seen that many.

Yeah, did it to me again memory lane from the 70s? Oh the trouble I used to cause down there. Junior lifeguard training used to have to swim from Hermosa Pier to Manhattan Pier

Live in Hilo Hawaii now but grew up here. So different, at the foot of the pier there was Taco bell(the best after a day of the ocean) that surfer statue was not there and the pier was nothing like it is
It looks way to fancy and smells like $ gone are the good old days
Yeah, I remember the Taco Bell. Always good food after a good surf. And that Surfer statue was always there. It just used to be on the other side where they built that new wall. Lot of changes used to hang there everyday in the 70s and There used to be the best hamburger joint there, too. Now, I think it's a bar.
@@antoinettecoia6889 Thanks for the memories, I really don't remember that statue anywhere. I'm going back to the 60's here, I spend many a day and night in this area, as a kid used to collect bottles with my sibs for food and renting the rafts, spent all day on them, can still taste the salt water

Miami has better beaches and warmer water but that sunset!! Absolutely beautiful
This video makes me want to cry. It's so beautiful there but when I was there 2 years ago the streets and restaurants and bars were overflowing with happy mostly young people enjoying their life in a free California. Now as you can see most everyone is locked down in their home as if we were living in Russia.
Winters during weekdays are always pretty calm. Even before lockdown.

That is not a oil refinery but a power plant and most of it is not being used anymore. And will be ripped not completely in the future.😃

In Hermosa Beach, the Drunk Locals drink out of Red Cups. We always knew that people would come from Manhattan Beach. Because, they would drink out of Blue Cups.
The only reason, we came to Manhattan Beach, was because of the Manhattan Beach Open.
Hermosa Beach people love Beach Volleyball , beer and more beer.
