    I'm riding the Cragger too. Love it. It's so versatile. I can ride bikeparks, trails, Enduro and even bikepacking 1000km last year was great

      That's so cool! Yeah it seems to be good at most things :) what width rear tyre are you running? I'm debating what to go with next time i replace it.. since the rear end feels so taught it'd be nice to soften it up with a bigger tyre..

    Great bike build! Most bike build are dream bikes, so it's nice to see someone doing a normal bike at reasonable price that looks good, and with those parts it probably rides quite well.

      Thanks! Yeah they are very pleasing to look at but not really useful since most people cannot spend that kind of money!
      Glad that you appreciated it! Bike runs great! 🥳

    Sick that you stuck with a hardtail. Don't underestimate it even on dh trails. I just rode a dh bike for the first time last week at a bike park and my times on Strava was mid pack so that means I was riding it okay, and the times on my hardtail was very close to the dh bike on the flowier trails. Those results actually surprised me because it felt like the dh bike was going faster everywhere. Obviously on the technical trails, it's not even close in the dh bikes favor.

    • @Mikesbikerides
      @Mikesbikerides  3 года назад +1

      Yeah I mostly ride stuff that a full sus would flatten out too much. So for my kind of riding (and budget) a hardtail is favourable.
      I rode an enduro bike at a bikepark recently and felt the same as you!

    I have a cragger too, great machine.
    For me it's more an AM bike like a trail bike or an enduro bike. It's climb slowly but it's a fun machine in D- !
    Question about your Cragger. If you test your bike with this fork in 130mm, I will be interested by the difference.
    For me, 130mm is enough, 'cause more travel on HT bike is more trim variations. But, I'm interesting to know in ride sensation the answer.
    And if I told you an advice with this RS35, ride with a short SAG (15-20% max) more rebound and LSC full open. With a biggest SAG you need to close the LSC to avoid diving in brake situation, and Moco don't manage the hydraulique saturation when is not full open. The feeling is a wood sensation in succession of impacts.

      Yeah I like to ride a bit of everything so I think this bike will be perfect! Fun also to try a frame that not many people (in sweden at least) ride or talk about!
      I think I kinda like the bike with 150 travel but we'll see if I tinker with it :)
      Good tip about the fork! Didn't realise that I had low speed compression adjuster.. just thought it was different levels of lockout 😂 so thanks for making me google!

      It took me 1 year to decide to buy this cragger, so I spent a fair bit of time digging into everything about the equipment.
      This 35, it has certain faults, certain qualities.
      Overall, she doesn't always get good press for the wrong reasons (and the right reasons to hit her, few people talk about it), but well-tuned she's quite valid.
      On the other hand, like all forks with motion control, you have to know that it rolls hard and that for it to work you have to forget about comfort.
      The hydraulics saturate very quickly, and the LSC, except in specific cases, works when it is fully open.
      So, that implies compensating with the spring and therefore increasing the pressure a little.
      On this one you have 5 notches at all open to complete blocking.
      And if you are rather light, to fluidify the moment when the plastic body of the motion control compresses to open the discharge valve, you can add a handmade spacer at the level of the plastic cone in the cartridge.
      You lose the total block (not very useful) but you win in transition.
      If you weigh more than 90kg (as I am) the forks are all open anyway to work well and the transitions are naturally better.

    • @Mikesbikerides
      @Mikesbikerides  3 года назад

      @@jyccc2126 Thanks for super good info! :) Right now I am 90+ kg.. Will tinker with it a little bit to see what I like though :) Right now I think my pressure is too high.. doesn't feel very compliant in the small bumps!

    • @jyccc2126
      @jyccc2126 3 года назад

      @@Mikesbikerides Keep in mind that this fork, without modification of the hydraulic cartridge, will not be able to work well (have support and not dive under braking, do not bounce on all sides, get grip) AND be "comfortable" with operation "soft".
      Anyway it is by trying that we see!
      One setting at a time!

    Snyggt bygge och bra post! När jag köpte min Top Fuel gick jag en halv storlek ner istället för upp. Känns bra för cykeln blir mer lekfull och livligare. Kört mycket HT också men tycker ändå heldämpad XC-rig är bättre för staminan och komforten generellt (med stark lock out*)

    Hi Mike :), whats your height? Iam 191cm will the Lsize be enough for me? And Isnt the cragger geometry too weird? Thanks

    • @Mikesbikerides
      @Mikesbikerides  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for commenting :)
      I think the L will fit you nicely.. I size my bikes based on reach, that's a better way in my opinion, otherwise I would also be on an L frame which would feel too big.
      What part of the geo do you think is weird? I'm not the most educated on geo but some key numbers seemed good to me 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

    • @matusjurcik6974

      @@Mikesbikerides thanks for the respond. Yeah my reach is not extraordinary to my height (so a little bit more than my height) now i have my cube reaction tm pro and i felt like reach is just a little bit short (XL 22") plus size 27,5 . Reach on the Radon is 9 mm longer on the L frame partially also because of the seat tube angle so thats that. And whats weired about the geometry? 😁 I dont know... aformentioned seat tube angle for instance? But if u feel comfortable on the descends and ascends it will be a good proof to me 😀. Also iam looking on the 2021 model and u had the 2020 model. But i recon there is not much change in the geo. if any 😊. And maybe I will just wait for the 2022 models...

    How tall are you in cm? How long was the reach on your old trekk and how is the reach on your new cragger? I live in Sweden and just bought a orbea laufey h30 in large. I'm 182cm

    • @Mikesbikerides
      @Mikesbikerides  2 года назад +1

      Thats probably a nice fit for you! Don't remember the geo numbers but a 430-450 reach is pretty spot on for me! I like my bike to be on the smaller side for more agility!

      @@erikd6124 Medium, I'm about 179 with a pretty even distribution of leg and torso length :D I'm right on the mid pont between M and L on most bikes and I found that going smaller seems to work for me. Tried hopping on to a Large Big al and it felt way too large.
