Niiiiice Beaver! 😁👍 And some great flying too.😊
Thanks for the great demonstration and all the subtle humor.😁
Great job Brian Phillips "and film crew.
A sincere thanks! Glad we can keep this forum on the flying hobby we all love.
You bet! Thanks!
Very nice Beaver yah got there Brian. Awesome flying too !
Sure is! ;)
Beaver is one of my favorite planes . I have the same tires . It's a must on that plane . That was a great intro . LOL !!! Couldn't agree more .
Thanks!
The floats for this rig are fantastic and the mounting struts are beefy compared to most Rc float kits.
I heard the weird resonance. It was lovely. I like weird. Nice sunset session. Thx you two.
Glad you enjoyed it - Thanks!
Nice work Team Phillips. Glad no damage was sustained. I prefer the nylon lock nuts but each to their own. Love your work!
Thanks, and yeah, nylocs are a great option.
Geez, Brian. You were a little rough on the Beaver, there. Huh?
Bet the Camera Crew was relieved she didn't have to film another "10 minute" repair. Then again, your Beaver's had a lot of face time on YT.
FMS makes a sweet flying plane, right now. With a little luck, I'll be wrecking a pile of 4s Batteries, ripping my Maule M7 through the air tomorrow afternoon at work (Oh Yeah!!)
Great video. Awesome Camera Crew-ing 👍
Your intro is one of the reasons I keep coming back! 😂
Thanks! Glad someone likes it! ;)
Now there’s a guy who really enjoys a nice beaver.
FINALLY... A big squishy pair! 🤣
I mean, who doesn't love a Big squishy pair?
Especially paired with such a beautiful beaver 😂🤣
Yes, Yes, and YES!
"Nice Beaver!"....."Thank You, I just had it Stuffed" 😛😛
Excellent!!!
Nice job with the save man. I've been really looking at the Flex Innovations planes Brian. Wondering about your thoughts or opinions on the aura system in general. Relike the Cessna 170 they have. Could you possibly so a review on it? Don't know your relationship with Flex or anything just wish u would review it. They market their stabilization system as being more locked in but I was hoping that u could maybe do more Flex innovations reviews. Keep up the good work dude. Appreciate all you and camera crew do.
This definitely going to be my next plane. I’m looking forward to your videos when you add thrust reverse and fly it on floats!
I too can't wait to get our pond done, so we can start a huge back-log of float planes - it's gonna be EPIC!
We all love to come home to a squishy pair and a nice beaver, wish I could get one
Nice plane..just getting into the hobby have learned to fly my FMS Ranger 1220 and looking for a better charger. Bought a Venom before realizing they were out of business but it does work pretty well.
The subliminals in the videos are hilarious
Hummmmm, which ones? LOL ;)
Let's see some snow drift ops! LOL
Thats a big beaver to handle.
She is pretty HUGE - hope you get one too ;)
Nice Beaver Sir 🦫
Thanks! ;)
I love the inuwindows
Highlight of the show
What innuendos? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - I was just talking about the plane and tires ;)
Wow, what a Huge beaver... Nice..
She sure is!
Hey Brian. I always love your videos. Totally unrelated to the FMS Beaver, I happened to re-watch your review of the Blade 360S Heli, yesterday. I’m sure you’re aware of the regulatory nightmare our hobby is currently in. One of the requirements here in Canada is to provision a FailSafe system. That in itself is pretty standard. I however know of no way to provision FailSafe on my Blade 360S. Throttle cut during a signal loss would simply cause a heli to drop like a rock, more or less. I typically use SAFE Failsafe on my planes. Any ideas or suggestions regarding Failsafe on a Heli? Thanks. Wolfgang
Thanks, and glad you're here with us. As for the regulation in Canada - it's bad enough here right now with RID :(
Failsafe would be easy enough to setup so the channel you designate for SAFE (mode) would put you down into Auto-Leveling, and it's SUPER easy in Forward Programming. I don't however know how I would feel about trusting Failsafe in a heli...I think it's called Duck-Kwick...not Failsafe ;) LOL
But seriously, it's in Forward Programming. Should be in the SAFE settings. If not, I assume you'd have to update to latest and greatest firmware, and then start from a PNF profile...BUT admittedly, I don't know with 100% certainty.
Oh you should have taken the runway brother.
Due to no tire? It worked out well, I thought ;)
Hey Brian, I’d like to see you put a 3 bladed prop on the Beaver like you did with the Hobbyzone Carbon Z T-28.
it’s BIGGG
No, it's HUUUUUGE. :)
As Leslie Nielsen said to Priscilla Presley "Nice Beaver"
Absolutely!
Nice flight you need LOCTITE!!!
I should have had another jam nut on there AT MINIMUM, now I have a nyloc on there. It was a fairly uneventful "Crash" landing ;)
I would like to see you put the same tires on Draco and tell us what you think. I have Draco with the same tires on it. Have not had a chance to test them yet. Any one else that has done this?
hi have you looked at this Plug and Play (PNP) | OMP Hobby 60" Edge 540
I know of it, but we haven't reviewed it, if that's what you were asking.
Is it possible to do a review on the omp edge 540
Hello friend.😁
Hi!
Please tell us how this FMS Beaver compares against the Arrows Husky in terms of quality. If I need to take wings of for car transport.
I can't speak to your disassembly question, but we have UNBOX, BUILD, RADIO SETUP video for BOTH.
As for better or worse. If you want the better experience, the Beaver is better ;) It's also bigger, and more money too ;)
bprc.me/FMS_Beaver
vs
bprc.me/Arrows_HuskyUltimate (keep in mind we only ever did the ULTIMATE, not the regular Husky...fyi)
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank you, yes I did mean Husky Ultimate.
I ordered one and just finished the assembly (haven't maidened yet) and it's a far cry better quality than it's replacement (Husky). It experience 2 separate wing failures during flight...decided not to repair it again. Third time is NOT the charm.
The Husky is a lot less plane too, at only 1800mm, but I still like that plane too. I FAR prefer the PA-18 1.7m ( bprc.me/FMS_PA18 ) up against the Husky (Arrows - bprc.me/Arrows_HuskyUltimate )
I think i used m4 x 50mm bolt with nut on outside . Never had a issue
yes
Sweeet
Sure is!
In your opinion, how does the Tower Hobbies Beaver compare to this one?
It's good too, but so much less of a plane, plus that design is older, and less capable.
Good, but a lot less good, if that makes sense ;)
bprc.me/Tower_Beaver
VS
bprc.me/FMS_Beaver
...BUT, to be somewhat fair, the Tower Beaver is a lot less price too...
Dont forget to tickle the flaps a little.
LOL - gotta get that done, of course!!!
Blue loctite
What size are the tires?
uuuuuge - 5.5" tires on this beaver
@BrianPhillipsRC thank you. Eas watching the video tire install/comparison. Plan to continue Sunday.
So guys, if you've never experienced the beaver, I highly suggest you do so....🙂
So, he literally flew it till the wheels fell off, & then some!!
Do you fly 3d?
Somewhat...I'm not a "3D Pilot" but do some.
wow, just think,if you had it on floats it would be a wet beaver with a big squishy pair, lol
Someday soon...
Lol
yes
