  • Can Newcastle United qualify for European football once again next season following the teams upturn in form which saw them beat Fulham 1-0 today with a late Bruno goal! And how important is European football for Eddie Howe's team next season with the likes of Bruno and Isak wanting and deserving to play at the highest level?

Do you think it is vital that Newcastle United qualify for Europe next season?

Even though I’m happy with the win but I’m still annoyed about VAR reason why I can’t get excited for games

Yeah I get that - VAR is a massive issue that takes away some of the enjoyment of the game. It's frustrating.

@@iansmithfootballas for the Conference League I would demand to win it because the teams in there are awful I backed West Ham to win it same reason why I’m backing Villa to win it

VAR has given us some dodgey decisions for and against. Except the PSG and Brentford games there haven't been any that I could say were absolute hum dingers. The goal we got against Arsenal was something we wouldn't have got given two seasons ago.

I expected a rebuild this season- injuries and Howe being a bit too stubborn ie Dan Burn at left back has dented my confidence in Howe. We are so far from the team we were during Howes first two years - the players we have can't cope and the system only works when our plyers are at their max performance levels. It was never going to be sustainable and it concerns me a bit that Howe thinks players can play with that intensity and not get injured. He is in denial 😂

He simply has to find another way for us to play that is less intense.

Can you play Howe ball 3 times a week, probably not.

Exactly - there has to be an adaptation to style. Hopefully he’s learnt a lot this year and will implement something new over the summer

Who else do you think would have done a better job than Eddie this season after all the restraints we have had to face because I cant.

As I said, I still fully back Howe. I just think the owners will always be monitoring the situation.

Just read Eddie is not happy we've got to travel straight to Australia 🦘 at the end of the season 22nd of may, for some mini sort of friendly/tournament against Tottenham
3 days after the premier League ends 🙄
    Players deserve a rest
Apart from longstaff in fact we could leave him in Australia 🌏🦘🦘

Haha. He’s not been doing himself too many favours recently.

They're charging 50 quid a ticket and I've paid 1500 quid to take the family to see them play. I had to buy tickets from the spurs website as NUFC ticketing was non existent 😂
