A tribute to my two favorite characters ever, Anakin and Padmé. They are the reason that made me start watching Star Wars years ago, and now these movies have such a big and important place in my heart and everyday life. Their relation is so sad yet so beautiful, it breaks my heart everytime.

Sometimes I sit back and wish Qui-Gon lived to be Anakin's father figure and Palpatine was defeated and Anakin was made a master and him and Padmé lived happily ever after );

In another timeline Qui-Gon lived and trained Anakin. Sometime after TPM Qui-Gon returned to Tatoonie and freed Shmi and put her on a world where she could be safe, Anakin was sent with Obi-Wan on a mission. When the war started Qui-Gon visited Shmi again and gave her recordings of Anakin so she could see how he'd grown and a comm code that she was to use when the war was over. Qui-Gon would die during the war and become a ghost. He would still guide Anakin and when the time came Anakin sided with the Jedi and killed Palpatine. Anakin would leave the Jedi Order to be with Padme and Shmi would contact them, Qui-Gon gave the comm code to R2 so when Shmi used it she would contact him. Years later in a memorial park on Naboo Shmi would be sitting by a statue of Qui-Gon and tell Leia and Luke stories of the man who freed her and raised Anakin as a Jedi while Padme and Anakin sat not to far away having a picnic.

The greatest tragedy in all of cinema ... Anakin deserved better ... but he got to see how strong luke was before he died and he died peacefully knowing Leia had his tenacity and luke had padmes kindness and patience.

Yeah me too :( But I think maybe at this time the idea of Padmé was not written yet :) That would have been so cute to have memories of her in the OT.
Actually, there was a scene in the Last Jedi, Luke and Leia were talking about their mother. But yes, that's all.

All Anakin wanted was to save Padme only for his anger and betrayal killed her. She died of a broken heart and her final words were that Anakin still has good in him.
Padme didn't die of a broken heart, Anakin Skywalker did that when he became Darth Vader

She was such a incredible actor I miss her character
I like it.
But at the end of his life, Anakin finds back to himself and that is because of the love of his son and his memories for Padme and her love.
Would be beautiful to see that at the end....;-)

For me the story of Padme and Anakin should have a "happyend", somehow, otherwise it is just too sad.
So here are my thoughts how their tale could end...
He was ready to walk down a dark path to reach the power he needs to protect Padme, his wife, his angel, the love of his life......remembering the promise he made at his mothers grave, he would do everything to save Padme.....first of all he loses himself, then his wife.....alone, confused, angry, the galaxy has to pay the price for his pain.....facing his demons, he finds peace in the arms of his son....returning into the force.....and there, at the edge of time, she is waiting for him, with open arms and a smile on her face, and he runs towards her, feeling so much joy, love and hope that it was nearly too much to handle.....when he takes Padme in his arms, he knows that this is the end of the long path he had gone, he, Anakin Skywalker, The Chosen One.
I wrote that as a comment to an other video, but i think it fits here, too.

Wow this edit was perfect in every way. I've always loved there love story. Its sad how Anakin broke Padmès heart. She was so perfect and deserved the world. Anakin's betrayal was very tragic 😢

Revised version to make Anakin sound less creepy: " You haven't changed a bit. You're exactly how I remember you when we last met."
Padme: "Last we met I was a queen. Now I am a senator."
Anakin: " I wasn't talking about you're career I was talking about you as a person."
Padme gets caught off guard.
Anakin: "You still the same person as you were when I met you. I always liked that about you.
This makes it sound more human and damn
I like the explanation that the reason they are in the love is beacuse after years of being told to serve others and to put others first instead of themselves for the first time in their lives someone cares about them and sees them as human being. For the first time they are allowed to think about themselves, put themselves first for once, choose what they want and purse their happiness.
I like in the new script when anakin tells her she hasn't changed since last they met (instead of his creepy dreams) it makes Padme think 'What's he talking about I changed a lot I went from a Queen to a senator?' She thinks of herself as her career. She thinks the two are the same. So when Anakin says. "Oh no I didn't mean you're career I meant you haven't changed as you. You're still the same person. I always liked that." Anakin hits major romance points.
