If books were sent to me for a goodreads review, I will mentioned in parenthesis. Anything else I do with the book is something purely for fun.

Six years ago, I didn't know about Goodreads. Hard to believe!!! Your video is great for people who don't know what an AWESOME platform Goodreads is for everything books!!! Also, I'm going to watch your instructions for uploading a gif or photo again. I have struggled with this on GRs!!! Comprehensive video, Miranda!!! Great job!!!
Thanks so much! You made my day!!
This is such a beautiful & informative video. I needed this. Thank you!
Just heard of good reads today. I love the way you organize your book shelves!
It definitely took you longer to review the site but you’re the most precise from the few I watched thus far, actually don’t think I need to watch anymore because you’ve summed up everything I wanted to know perfectly. Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you :) I wanted to be thorough
Thank you for this one 💓 I always wondered how to use goodreads
This was an excellent and very thorough video, thank you so much!!!!
Thank you :)
How do I read a book that I have marked I want to read on good reads?
Wow I love your books in the background
You’ve got the most color coordinated bookshelves I’ve ever seen. I appreciate that for some reason.
I needed this... Thanks
Hey I'm new I started reading in 2020 I have 21 years old and now I really like read self improvement, historical fiction novels and fiction. I don't know why I didn't start reading before wow Read it's amazing!!!!
So glad I found you and your videos 😊
Basic Goodreads review structure:
• Picture
• Quote
• Own summary
• Another Quote
• Your thoughts
I'm putting this here for my own reference but it being of help to other people would be a bonus!
Hi, first time author here, this video is so helpful!
Love Goodreads!
Thank you sm for this guiding, I was wondering as someone who's new in goodreads, is it possible to write in whice year I read the book that I added?
Or just add books that I read since I sign up
I just discovered your channel. great channel i learned a lot. By the way, I followed you on goodreads. :)
Very helpful. I’m trying to update my 10 year old account but having a hard time on how to upload a title from Amazon or Audible etc to my Goodreads.
I have no clue how to add a book/ books to good reads?
Do you have to scan your book to add it?
I have a question so since I just joined Goodreads this year how can I add my old
readings “from last year” join it?
How can i use this app to find new similiar books to one book
Hey! May be a stupid question, but how do you search users on the goodread app?? Lovely video btw :))
So if you go to the friends tab, you can look people up... but unless you have their exact user name, you might not find them. And if it's a common user name (ie Jane) there might be too many hits. You could also Google them and try that way.
@@MirandaReads very helpful!!
Im having this problem on Goodreads where I finished a book and I want to click read and it tells me that Goodreads is having a problem completing my request and to reload and try again and it’s driving me CRAZY cause I’ve reloaded my page about a hundred times does this happen to someone else?
It’s been a few years since this video was posted but I know in 2014 there were short stories on goodreads you could read for free. It was like FanFiction or Wattpad. But I can’t find that option anymore. What happened to it and when did they get rid of it?
It has been a few months since this video was posted but hopefully somebody knows the answer to a question I have. I’m Swedish and sometimes I read the same book in both Swedish and than later in English and I would like to add both editions of the same book and I can’t figure out how to. I know how to add that I reread a book but then it’s just the same edition. I can change the edition but than I change it for both times. Is it possible to like add two different editions of the same book to my read list?
Yes and I've definitely done that with Harry potter. And I've accidently added two of the same book multiple times.
Essentially, if you have already added your first edition... then to add your second, you will have to go to a different edition.
So go to the book's page, click on "other editions" section then select the specific edition you want. Once that different edition pops up, there's 3 options near your review -"edit" "review" and "switch".
"Switch" changes your review from being associated with one edition to another.
"Edit" allows you to edit your current review associated with the original edition
"Review" allows you to review the second edition
Your library is organized by colors?
How to read the books that I add in my "I want to read" ???
how do i write private notes on a book that I do not want to share but want for myself
Can I just delete everything in a shelf or the whole shelf and start over?
How can I share my reviews?
I know it sounds like a stupid question. But i can't open a book i want to read. I get the dropdown options but I don't know how to see the pages of the book. Could you help me? Could you make a video where you explain this specifically? (always if you like)
Hmmm... that does sound like a good idea for a video. Maybe expand it out to where you can get free ebooks...
But in the meantime, i did just try it (going to the website linked in the video description) on my computer to verify it still worked. All I did was click "download" and a pdf of the fault in the stars is on my computer.
I would recommend (if you are on a computer) check your download settings - perhaps your computer is blocking it?
If you are on a phone - check that you have an app that can read pdfs (or the format of the book that you are interested in).
Some of the books require the download while others will say "read ebook" and you can read that directly on your computer
How do you open a book to start reading it
¿Quién puede pasar las respuestas del quiz de goodreads para ser librarian? Gracias
You all sent me a book that I started and now don’t understand how to finish! I would get you a lot of customers but need to know how to use. The book you sent was about a girl marring a billionaire without meeting first. Her friends grandson.
Thank you for this tutorial. I just started using Goodreads. I’m glad it syncs with my Kindle. PS. I love your color coordinated library in the background. 🥰
How do you read a book on the app on iPhone?
Ahhh... that might have to be another video. I don't have the iPhone nor do I normally work via the goodreads app:p
How do you read
Which button do you have to press or something
have u found out??

I had marked my book as I want to read , How do I open the book and read the book if I mark the book I want to read?
Goodreads is not a site you read books on to my knowledge, you'll have to read a physical copy or an ebook on a site that provides ebooks. Goodreads is mainly for reviews, finding new books, planning, organising etc
I want to connect but I suck at exposing my feelings about a book :(
I just thought it was an app where you could read every book you want.
Okay, so I have to ask. Now it's a year later since you made this video. Do you still love the app?
I do lean a bit more towards the website vs the app but I'm a creature of habit and my goodreads habit started with the website :p
You aren't active on gr anymore, what happened?
How can I add a book to the reading challenge?😭 like a book I read and I want to add
As long as you have "set" your reading challenge, any books that you have added and marked "read" in 2021 automatically gets added to the challenge
@@MirandaReads but they are not being added even when I mark them as read 😩
What is the date under "read" cause they need to be "read" in 2021? The other option is possibly you haven't set your challenge yet...?
@@MirandaReads I’m not sure about a date? But i marked those books as read in 2021 does that not count? Do I need to do something else ?
When you click read, you can select "dates read" when you have the book review open. If you don't select the year as 2021 (I normally do the full date so I can also keep track of the month and day) then goodreads doesn't register the book as "read" in 2021. If you are still having issues...I think it might be a glitch and you might want to reach out to goodreads support
How to read a book in goodreads
Would like some friends on goodreads.
Of Demons & Men by C.E.OCHEJA is my favorite book of all time. Forget not being a big name author or flashy fancy whatever. That book needs to be more popular. I don't understand why more people don't know it. TRUST ME you guys will love it. 📚
how to start reading??? omg
My advice is just read a little bit every day. Don’t force it. I normally read about 30mins every day, but it’s okay if you only read a page. As long as you do it continually and make it a habit. Also! If you don’t like the classics, don’t bother with them. Read only books you like! And don’t feel bad about putting a book down because you don’t like it. You don’t have to finish every book.
Fabulous advice :D
I heard an interesting advice😄 maybe you have a person who inspires you? Maybe he/she is celebrity. You can google his / her favorite books and read the ones that interest you, so you can better understand your idol (and you’ll read more, you’ll trick yourself😅)
I can't read the books
Good reads rocks cause its freeform, you can write what you want say what ever you want, its brilliant,
omg gorgeous thumbnail and makeup!
lol i think I'm around #76 or lower because I've barely been reading or reviewing oof
Omg thank you. Lowkey spent a lot of time on that thumbnail. Glad it paid off!
That's what school does to ya. I'm nervously having to spend more and more time on my thesis soooo... goodbye fun :p
tbh it's not even school because i have a little bit of time. I've just lost the interest I used to have. I think I"ll always be a reader but I've gone from highly above average reader to average
it used to stress me out because I felt like I had lost something and I suppose I have in a way but I try not to overthink it
It ebs and flows. First round college i barely read anything... second round college I can't read enough :p
@@TuckerTheReader I see what you're saying but personally I wouldn't think of it that way. Sometimes getting lost in a book is the best thing and sometimes getting lost in life is the best. No matter what, you can always pick up a book later.
Please stop waving your arms around.
I don’t know how to read the content of the book ,it doesn’t have a button for me to click,it just has the green button “want to read”,and I click it it doesn’t show the content,I don't know what to do,can somebody help me please!🥹
