Hey guys! What does a typical school lunch look like in your country? Btw, these foods are really bad for children ruclips.net/video/Qf5AkskQr1w/видео.html
BRIGHT SIDE normally its potatoes, rice, buckwheat or pasta with sauce and we can take salads and fruit or veggies and when its a cold day we get soup. Today the school served pasta with bolognese. Yummy!
In the Philippines we don't have school lunches, we either bring food from home or your parents drop-off your food at school. Only small amounts of schools have canteens so we usually eat in our classrooms. *Our lunch is usually 30 minutes , but thanks to our teachers we only get 5-10*
Huh, Filipino here too but my school lunch is 1 hour plus I can buy lunch at the school canteen and in the school cafe. Or go home or bring in lunch at school.

@Dark Ages yeah it's for children of militants but most of the time it's for Army bases because they are the bigger ones such as Fort Carson or Fort Benning
in hk we don't even have cafeterias (if it's not an international sch)! we either eat in the classroom in primary sch or go out to buy food (eat out or stay in the sch) to eat lunch in secondary
In Sri Lanka, we bring food from home. We get 30 mins for the interval. There are also canteens in the school but most of us bring food from our homes. It would mostly be rice and curry, sandwiches, noodles...etc. We eat in our classrooms. We eat fast and play outside (All within 30 mins) Of course i never make it. And... only primary students get to play... We somehow manage to spare a few mins to chat with each other. :) We also sometimes share our food with friends (hygienically) when we get something special like desserts. Some of us, pack some extra dessert so we can share with friends. But we don't share during the pandemic situations. In case we forgot to bring our lunch boxes we buy some food from the canteens. (but canteens are closed in the pandemic times, so we always check for our meals twice before leaving home)
In Australia, some schools don't even have a "tuck shop" ( I assume they meant canteen). Most bring food from home and most of them are unhealthy. Usually kids have a piece of fruit, some crackers, a sandwich (which is usually vegemite, salad, jam, peanut butter, etc.), and some sugary food, although it varies. Also in most schools kids sit outside on the ground or on benches outside - we don't really have set places to eat. We have a a recess and a lunch and in some primary schools they have a "brain break" where they eat a piece of fruit. It varies depending on what school you go to, but recess usually goes for about 20 mins (it's usually longer in primary school and shorter in high school), and lunch usually goes for 40mins to an hour. By the way, I never seen someone eating corn for lunch, but it is true that often kids will have sushi, sandwiches, and fruit (albeit along with unhealthy snacks).
In Cambodia you can eat in class or eat on some chairs next to the playground or the cafeteria we mostly bring food from home or we buys food at the school mart we don't really buy anything from the cafeteria
We get 20 mins lunch break 😒😒 We even take our own lunches from home... Tho most schools provide lunches and most don't... In Greece, where I live, we don't have lunch time at school. Just the usual breaks between classes , where you can eat, go to the yard etc. We do have canteens at universities though. Some universities will may ask for you to fill certain creteria in order to eat for free, you will have to bring some papers to show that you do have them ( usually it is a yearly budget limit) and then you will get a card telling that you are eligible to eat for free and if you don't have these criterias you will have to pay a small fee ( around 2.50 to 3€) in order to eat. From the other side, a couple of universities will allow you to eat for free,as long as you are a student. You show your student identity card when you enter the canteen and thats it. As for the food, it usually is: First course ( mostly soup), salad, bread, water and you also get to choose from 2 dishes for lunch. Sometimes we have a dessert, like chocolate creme or jelly. Most universities offer dinner as well, which goes like lunch talking about the order of the dishes. And you may find a small variety of breakfast too, but it depends on the university. 😊

Them: promoting their Countries in a very nice way Me: *coughs in Filino* Here in Philippines we don't really have that kind of things, we bring or buy our foods in the break time, or just eat the food when the whole class in the morning is finished. The others skip their classes in the break time to go to internet cafe to play Dota, ROS, PubG, and other computer games, also other will just jump over the fence to sleep at home and lie to their parents that the class is finished. But even though our Country is full of silliness, we are still proud to be here. Sorry for my bad English.......
Perfection... Here is my routine at lunch break: 1. I eat my food for about 5 minute 2. Go back to school 3. Play pc for about 1 hour 4. Buy snacks like bread, donut, pizza (when I have enough), etc

In UK, the lunchladys make lunch with vegetables, and we can bring our own packet food. But on Fridays you get chips, fish fingers, beans, and some peas, and you can choose ketchup or no ketchup. Also, you get desert
I was thinking the same thing 😂 My school; going to the closest store en kids buy cookies, energy drinks candy's, sweet and unhealthy breads, but you also get kids who does healty and get something unhealthy. (Oh hayy i'm from the Netherlands)
there's a 30 minute "break-time" in my school. we can eat, take a short nap, roam around, prank our friends, play, go to the library, do homework, water the plants planted by ourselves in the school garden or do anything of our wish but leave the school premises.
Same in Canada 🇨🇦But you can pay company's to get you food at school maybe once or twice a week. And at secondary there's a cafeteria and bring your lunchbox.
Limp, floppy fries and square pizza slices with the thinnest possible layers of tomato puree and grated cheese were the norm at my UK secondary school back in the day. Such memories.
In my school, we get 30 minutes for lunch. We finish it in half the time and play the rest of the time. (Of course, this year school is attended virtually and also it is shorter) And why were Indian lunches not mentioned? Tell me why
@@swked you are so correct they should add India also we are the healthiest we eat lots of balanced food we bring food the school like indeed they should add Indian to videos

Yep mine was a boring sandwich, a piece of fruit and a muesli bar or something for morning tea (play lunch). Only occasionally were my sisters and I allowed a lunch order
6:22 I live in Italy and usually, school lunch is eaten on elementary school and in Kindergarten, in middle school and high school people do not usually have lunch at school because it ends in 02:00 PM, while elementary school and Kindergarten ends respectively on 04:30 P.M and 04:00 PM
Teiku- P In my hardcore school (Long Island New York) most people were too focused on academics and didn't bother eating lunch. School ended at 3:30 by the way.
The school day in the U.S. usually ends at around 2pm as well but lunch is usually served anyways. Going 6 hours without a meal is not considered healthy and many children in the U.S. don't eat breakfast and often don't eat lunch unless the school provides it.
This looks all so good!! 😍😍 In Germany you have to bring your own food (breakfast and lunch) or you can buy something at a shop in school but nothing warm!!

Sometimes it’s spagetti bolognese, sometimes it’s soup, sometimes it’s pasta with meatballs, sometimes it’s Fish n’ Chips and sometimes it’s tacos. It varies. There’s always a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian option, but sometimes everything is vegetarian. In Sweden we get good school lunch for free, and always served with vegetables, bread, cheese, butter, water and milk!👍🏼

feel like every country should add rice to their school lunches because it is not only delicious but also healthy, it goes with literally everything and it makes you full without feeling heavy
Philippines, based on my experience when i was young (elementary) and can't remember if its lunch or snack (morning and afternoon), that the red tray will be sent to each classroom and make it a mini store there. The teacher will be the seller. this has been done for each class to just stay in the classroom, instead of everyone will go to the canteen and will be mind-blowing for the seller in canteen (which is also sometimes teachers as well) coz we only have 30 mins. break. You're lucky if you have packed-lunch from home. Highschool and college, we have canteen to buy some foods. But in highschool it's few choices while in college (in our university) there's lots of choices to choose from. In highschool, kids are not shy to bring packed lunch; but in college, only few students are bringing foods from home. I guess they're shy to bring packed lunch, and feel cool to buy foods from school. Plus the fact, that when I was in college, our school is just neighborhood of SM Manila, in which sometimes, students preferred to eat at fast-food chains like Jollibee, McDonalds and others.

Here in Philippines we don't really have that kind of things, we bring or buy our foods in the break time, or just eat the food when the whole class in the morning is finished.
Here is my routine at lunch break:
1. I eat my food for about 5 minute
2. Go back to school
3. Play pc for about 1 hour
4. Buy snacks like bread, donut, pizza (when I have enough), etc
Yeah, My friends to go on breaktime to play Dota, ROS, PUBG, and Crossfire.

The school day in the U.S. usually ends at around 2pm as well but lunch is usually served anyways. Going 6 hours without a meal is not considered healthy and many children in the U.S. don't eat breakfast and often don't eat lunch unless the school provides it.
