Tandaan may impluwensya ang mga batang 70s at 80s sa mga batang 90s at millenials, mayron din contributions ang mga nauna kung anu man ang mga bago ngayon kaya wag ganap na isisi sa bagong henerasyon kung anu man ang hindi nakikitang maganda sa kanila ngayon. May pananagutan ang bawat isa sa kapuwa nya at sa kapaligiran nya.

Again my thanks for bringing me once more to the time I was in Manila for my studies. Simple life, simple joys before the first quarter storm. Hehe. Now, I"m in my mid-seventies and so much has changed; yet, still, your choice of music brings me back to the yesterdays of a probinsyano boy in Manila of the 1970s. You make me feel young again.
Kabayan, many thanks for featuring my favorite song during the 70s. It was so popular that radio stations often played it. It brings back memories of my driving lessons along Dewey Blvd and Taft Avenue. Every time I heard it being played on radio, I lose my focus while driving because my mind simply wandered in a daydream. I immediately snapped back to reality when I hear the instructor's loud voice, "Eyes on the wheel!" Ang simple lang ng kaligayahan noong 70s. People watched in front of the Cultural Center to see the magnificent fountain with multi-colored lights. But mas maganda ang dancing fountain ng Luneta that dances with the music and lights. Super high tech and work of a genius na ito noong araw na walang computer to program the dancing sequence. I held a summer job as a clerk at IBM Phils in Paseo de Roxas. My office was at the 4th floor beside the window facing the parking lot. A La Sallite suitor who lived nearby in Bel Air Makati visited me everyday with a bunch of flowers and a note that contained a line from this Carpenters' song. At 4:50pm, he was always there at the parking lot visible from my 4th floor office window. Well, nabuo niya ang kanta after giving me so many bouquets of roses. But nothing happened. I was so focused on graduating with honors to beat my kuya's magna cum laude feat. Did I make the grade? My dad proudly announced that his daughter graduated with "cum fraude" honors. Sabi ko mas mabuti na yon kaysa "magna cum codigo" or "summan con latik". Although I actually graduated cum laude, my dad only accepted 2nd and 1st honors. Thanks Kabayan for this video and song that digged so many happy and precious memories from my treasure chest. Stay well Kabayan. You are always in my prayers. ❤❤❤

@@BEATABAND15 Modesty aside, medyo marami nga akong suitors noong kabataan ko. I was not hard to please, ayaw ko nga na binibigyan ako ng regalo especially kung walang pag-asa na magugustuhan ko. I tend to be attracted to brains rather than looks. Kapag pogi, lumalayo ako. A good conversationalist is never boring to be with. Basta clean-looking, decent, respectful and knowledgeable. A suitor once told me that before umakyat siya ng ligaw sa akin, nagrereview daw muna siya ng current events and other topics of interest, na parang nag rereview for a revalida ng thesis. Hahaha. Ang nakakatuwa, I remained friends with some of my suitors and their wives until the end. By this time, all of them and some wives have passed away. Ang sakit maiwan...Kabayan, always always stay safe ans healthy. Kinakalyo na ang dila ko sa pagdarasal for you, hehehe. Always in my prayers ❤
