Ofcourse Kalam was an exceptional figure and but I believe he just got advantage of his times than his counterpart due to several reasons. His Muslim identity as he was a different Muslim than any other muslim. He was a devotee of science as well as a religious man. He had a hindu Outlook ,Hindu personality and he respected hindues and hinduism. His failure to join airforce was also a reason and several events of his times like Babri, Dawood Ibrahim, Pakistan, Gujarat, Modi and bjp led to his development. Also the middleast factor was also a cause. He was sure a good man And strong man of his times but also a man who got lot of advantage due to above mentioned factors
