Hi, what compost do you use? When I buy topsoil bags or compost from a garden centre they're almost always have twigs and other lumps in that I wouldn't want to put on my lawn.
It's Clover topsoil. It does contain peat, which someone commented about recently as it can be bad for the environment (something to do with CO2). But it's brilliant stuff!
Really good video. Thanks for the nice clear explanation.
Great video which makes the process look so simple. Will be sourcing the same seed you recommended. Thanks!
These videos are so handy! I was feeling so overwhelmed starting on DIYing my lawn 😅
So much can be over complicated, but it doesn't need to be 😁
Thanks for making these videos, it really helps me to improve my lawn.
You're welcome - glad you're finding them useful!
There's a lot of lawn care jargon out there, but the basics get a good enough lawn 😁
Great job. It's looking really nice
Nice one!
Took a few hints from you and the lawn is a lot better
Nice one! Glad they've helped your lawn 👍🏻😁
Love your videos, great work.
Cheers! 😁
Great video brother 👍
Cheers 👍🏻
Awesome looking lawns, greats videos too👋👋. Lidl, £7.99 garden clogs 😃
Sounds like a deal!
Cheers 👍🏻😁
Would lawn soil work as place of the compost that you used?
Definitely - wouldn't degrade like compost either.
@@NoviceGardener Are we still able to mow over it or should we wait?
Do you use any grasses with rhizomes in your lawn?
No, not that I'm aware.

Why do you need wetting agent when we had wettest March in 41 years ?? I’m a bit confused and shocked 😳 maybe you can explain
Even more reason too, helps to get the water down deep into the soil so you don't end up with a boggy lawn.
Exactly what Jefferson said. We have had a lot of rain recently, but it helps to break the water tension. Hope that helps!
I should have put it then in my lawn .. the clay is just gone bogland 🥴
be aware you buy a bag 80% germination first year then germination rate goes down every year after
Cheers, that's food for thought. With how many jobs I'm doing at the moment, I don't think I'll have much left for next year!
